  1. Hmm, this is not what I am seeing. See the attached track. I engaged the level-flight mode at around 10,000m and saw it drop continuously to about 8,000m when I gave up. I then disengaged AP and engaged the altitude hold mode (LAlt-4) instead which interestingly did not have this problem. Altitude was maintained perfectly. So, I do think this is a bug. Oh, and this was with a fully loaded plane, so maybe that affects things. But I am not complaining (much :)). All the other fixes are worth it. Great job ED. In fact the tires are now made of steel. In the second track I did a bad landing with a heavy plane in a crosswind, damaged the suspension, applied brakes almost right away (did not use the chute) and the tires are still intact! level_flight(not).trk crosswind_landing.trk
  2. I have done some very limited testing on the autopilot (item 3 on the list) and it does seem to have changed. It now "works" at much lower IAS than before. However, it seems that the level flight mode (LAlt-3) is no longer level flight. It seems to gradually descend, even if the aircraft was trimmed level or even slightly up before engaging. This is a regression, I believe. EDIT: sniped, but DarkFire can you try level flight mode? Does it maintain altitude?
  3. FWIW, the disconnect issue was fixed for me already in the last few days of Round 9. I am going through Cogent and I have not changed anything myself.
  4. So what's left, if not Sikorsky or Airbus?
  5. Are you running Windows 10 Anniversary update? I had the same problem and uninstalled the update because of this issue.
  6. Search on Ebay for "LukeClip" returns no results?
  7. Agreed both is best :-) but for the (relative) beginners The Enemy Within is probably somewhat easier.
  8. It seems like only Nevada map is part of the bonus sale.
  9. Hmm, thanks. Did you have the taskbar on top problem too?
  10. I am having several problems since updating. One is that often (but not always) windows taskbar shows up on top of DCS (I run DCS with native resolution with the "full screen" option unchecked). The other problem is that sometimes DCS does not want to start all. The DCS process shows up in the task list but the GUI does not come up.
  11. Yes, this. I understand perfectly. One thing that I learned the hard way was that there is a big difference between being able to accomplish something (e.g. attack a FARP with Su-25T) in a test mission in a controlled environment with plenty of time and doing the same thing on a multiplayer server, in the heat of the battle, with others counting on you and when time is of an essence. This was quite a humiliating (and eye-opening) experience for me. But thanks guys for the advice and encouragement. Let the fight go on!
  12. The subject of rookie pilots using up valuable slots (like the only Mi-8 at Beslan) has been brought up before several times by both sides. So, I would like to ask for some direction here. I am not a rookie by the dictionary definition since I have been flying DCS for about 3 years now, but because of lack of time I never had any real training and my pilot skills are below average at best (mediocre really, compared to what I see on BF). So, for all practical purposes I count as a rookie. I fly for Red and my favorites are Su-27, Su-25T and Ka-50. All of these get me killed quickly and I often loose all fighter/atack lives well before the next lives restart. So that leaves me with either the GCI slot (which I do occasionally even though I am not good at it and I sense people's frustration, though most are polite about it) or the Mi-8. I actually just started learning Mi-8 because of BF, so here I really am a rookie. Also, I usually only have time to fly when Red numbers are in single digits, so any pilot counts (or would count, if they were any good). I am normally on both TS and SRS. I try to help with missions as best as I can but in reality there is probably greater than 50% chance that I will die and jeopardize the mission. Sometimes I go on my own just not to interfere with the important plan because of that. But mostly I try to work with the team, though I feel being constantly limited by my skills and don't want to be a problem for the more experienced players. Is BlueFlag really not for me? Thanks
  13. I was wondering if it would be possible to extend the time between server restarts. For example to 6 hours, but even 4 hours would be better than what it is now. I find it frustrating that some of the state is wiped out so often. Was the current 3 hours chosen because of stability issues or there were other considerations? If there were, I would like to understand. Thanks
  14. Ah, thanks. The web site still shows the old IP address.
  15. I am having problem connecting to the BS server, for the last 24-hours or so. It was working fine before. And yes, I upgraded to 1.1.3.0 and was using it successfully already. But now I just cannot connect. When I click on the "Connect" button, it goes gray for few seconds and then in comes back, not connected. I thought maybe it was the firewall so tried to disable it, but the result was the same. Attached is the client log and also Wireshark packet capture (it was captured with "host 89.163.173.82" filter). Can anyone help? Thanks Bolek clientlog.txt DCS-SRS.zip
  16. It seems that a lot of people are putting the microphone gain slider all the way to the max which causes overload and crackling. I am not sure if anything can be done about it, but perhaps a better default than 0? Alternatively, is it possible to detect the overload and have some gain limiter? Or even maybe automatic gain and no slider?
  17. Well, at the moment this campaign is not playable because of AI bugs in 2.0, so probably no one even trying...
  18. You need to have the ECM pods loaded on the wings. Also, it takes a while for ECM to come up after you hit 'E' (maybe 20-30 sec or so?)
  19. Huh? As I said before, with the A-10C, even 6 GBU-31s don't touch the bunker. Are you using the right one? It's called Static Object->Russia->Warehouses->Ammunition depot in the ME.
  20. Still, something doesn't add up. A-10C can easily (meaning without exceeding the max weight) take 6 GBU-31s, each with a 429kg warhead. This is total of 2574kg of explosives, a lot more than the 8 S25 OFMs from the test above. And this still doesn't even make a dent in the "Ammunition Depot". Does the S25's higher velocity and thus kinetic energy make that much of a difference?
  21. Again, don't know if this helps, but I remember one other case when this happens: more than one aircraft set to "Takeoff from runway" (at the same airfield) in the mission editor.
  22. Can you elaborate more on this part? What are the differences in simulation details? Thanks
  23. I don't know if this is your issue but I have seen such behavior if the module was not installed/activated for some reason (e.g. switching between release and beta).
  24. I thought Reaper was the JTAC?
  25. Wobbly autopilot at low speeds (e.g. < 550 IAS) is an old bug. It has been there ever since Su-27 got the new flight model. It can also happen at higher speeds when the aircraft is not trimmed before engaging autopilot. This part may be not a bug but a real behavior, I don't know.
