  1. I don't think this is what's going on in DCS by default but the app can use SetThreadAffinityMask API to specify which cores a given thread is allowed to run on: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms686247(v=vs.85).aspx I believe that's what DCS uses if you use the affinity_mask setting in autoexec.cfg.
  2. Can you post your mission file and flight time results? I am sure there will be human pilots trying to beat them in flyable aircraft. Also, I know you said full fuel, but does that include maximum external tanks too?
  3. I did try it (which is why I said FXAA was blurry). On my monitor (2560x1600) it is very noticeable, both in the GUI and flying. As I said, YMMV or you may disagree :)
  4. Is your installation folder under "C:\Program Files"? If so, this is normal. You would have to run as Administrator to save files there.
  5. MSAA 2x looks better visually but costs more performance. FXAA is too blurry (especially with text). Also, FXAA affects the DCS GUI too, which is very annoying. IMHO, of course. But you should really try for yourself, YMMV or you may disagree.
  6. No, only when you change graphics settings in the game or in the graphics driver panel.
  7. I had the same problem and it turned out to be hard coded paths in the logbook. Shutdown DCS and open Saved Games/DCS.openbeta/MissionEditor/logbook.lua in the editor. Search for ["campaign"] entries. The ones for the official campaigns shipped with the product (paid or free) have path names relative to install directories and should be fine. But the ones that you downloaded yourself may have wrong paths. I had a bunch pointing to Saved Games directory for the DCS 1.5. I changed Saved Games/DCS/ to Saved Games/DCS.openbeta/ and all was well. Of course I also had to copy the campaign files from DCS to DCS.openbeta
  8. Yes, I am seeing the same thing.

  10. There will still be 2.5 release and 2.5 open beta. But I don't understand your problem. If you always just want to run the latest then keep 2.5 open beta only and don't even bother with 2.5 release.
  11. Mission files (.miz) are already zipped. If it's too big you can add it to user files section here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/ and post a link.
  12. What do you mean? It was officially announced: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3368158&postcount=128
  13. c0ff said here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3364720&postcount=60 As I understand it, this means that the file content will not be copied, just the directory entry. So no double space needed.

  15. Not sure if this makes sense, but even tough the missile may have been fired inside rMin in a straight line, the distance it actually traveled may have been longer that rMin. And my understanding is that rMin is actually determined by the time the missile needs to arm itself, not the physical straight line distance? But I am not arguing any FOV issues :)
  16. You mean "Auto lock on nearest surface target"? This is a feature in the "A-10C Game" mode only. I think most multiplayer servers enforce the "A-10C Sim" mode instead.
  17. Someone already shared it: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3352657&postcount=8
  18. Sorry, I didn't realize this has come up before. But it wasn't me, must have been someone else.:)
  19. Great video, thanks for taking time to do it. It even has some of my favorite Ironhand quotes ("this is why we fly", "we do not shoot at..." etc.) :-) I think that the HDD scale number has a somewhat different interpretation though. The number displayed is the length in kilometers of the line underneath it, just like on paper maps. This line should actually be 1cm long, so e.g. if it HDD scale is displayed as 10 then the scale is 1cm/10km = 1:1000000. Now, it may be that the physical size of the display is 10cm from the own ship symbol to the top edge, in which case the two interpretations are really the same.
  20. According to the discussion here: http://www.airbusdriver.net/airbus_crosswind.htm apparently Airbus auto-land can de-crab at the very last second. But I am sure there is a limit on the crosswind.
  21. Not sure if this is a bug or intentional but there is a single red Su-25T on the Malot FARP. How does this work? Takeoff from the road like Viggen? I wanted to check it out in case it was a new Blue Flag feature but DCS crashed both times I tried it.
  22. The link is there in the top menu, DCS Radio->Radio Frequencies: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LYS-K2EBGBZ1RjD0UGUdOkAXJBGw3mmRQZ2cSsdbJao/
  23. Thanks, that was quick response!
  24. It doesn't seem to be working for me. Even after waiting an hour or more all the acmi files from the folder with my name are empty: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/0zcyh6dj33zqc4t/AADTZz11AJKXerjd_NTNQ5fja/bolek?dl=0&lst=
