So I decided to upgrade a few components of my Obutto triple monitor setup because last week one of my Asus 780Ti`s failed. I decided (Amazon) to go for a Philips 43" 4K Monitor (not TV) ref BDM4350UC and replace it for the middle 1080 in my triple setup, leaving the other two at its sides to see what I can use them for. As Sli setups are not really supported by DCS, I also thought I will get a 1080Ti, but it will be a Nvidia partner model so I have to wait at least for the end of month. Meanwhile I will play around with the 780Ti that I have left:cry: First step : Unboxing

Precisely last week I ordered the Philips 43" monitor on Amazon. I just received it today! So far I have unboxed and tried it out with my portable, no dead pixels, no burning in, and the sheet where you get all the info on the brightness throughout the TV in 25 different spots, is 23 at 100% and 2 are at 101%, that's quite good to my understanding. Now have to start reconfiguring my obutto setup of triple monitors, to one 4k and one 1080 at each side, lets see how that works. I am also hoping to get a 1080Ti by the end of this month! (one of my 780Ti just failed a week ago)

what am i doing wrong? i dont get this cockpit, i used link from post #6. Thanks in advance.

Second contest. For my son to have decent equipment when flying with me :)

My current rig was updated for DCS, but that was 4 years ago ,780 Ti 's with 3gb are abit of a bottleneck for Nevada now. The next one will be purely decided with DCS in mind. Now i am only waiting for DCS 2.5, for Nvidia 1080Ti or maybe new AMD and for Kbay lake 7700k or new Ryzen. The icing for me would be the Eurofighter module. But i am not in a hurry for any except 2.5, once that is out and i have tried it out with my current rig, only then i will start the quest for the rest.

I completed that mission by keeping high altitude and at sea so you can clearly see where the helos are and then try to get behind them to get them with missiles or guns.

Hi Silver Dragon, i dont think anyone is going to be unhappy if you make it a win win situation. ED will benefit from being able to sell an ideal multinational and large map with many nations and cities with the detail of NTTR or Hormuz and all newcomers would benefit of a high quality map like NTTR, then if they want more they have to go and get "39€ printer Cartridges". NTTR will never offer the possibilities of a map like Caucasus, that is the reason i think why NTTR should be packed in the bundle and Caucasus expanded and brought to actual high quality and then sold.

Exactly, thats what made me think of this whole thing. Now that they have done all those improvements which are good enough, they are giving it for free.:cry:
