I'll give it a go in a bit and let you know! Definitely was saved in the right place though :)

Thanks :) Couldn't find this folder there till I extracted it. Assume that is correct? Edit: Doesnt seem to sound any different for me

Glad there is another thread on p47 engine nosie. For me when taxiing with hear like in helmet on I can hear the tire noise over the engine sounds, plus other aircraft are actually louder than the p47 that I am sat in!
-
Do you have hear like in helmet enabled? Thats the only thing I have enabled that I can imagine would make it even more prominent
-
So how can I fix this issue then? I have verified installs and given evidence. It clearly shouldn't sound like that.
-
Bump. Still an issue.

Exaclty!

[CHECKING] Propeller is unrealistic and bent prop discussion
hazzer replied to SmirkingGerbil's topic in Bugs and Problems
Any progress on this? FYI I flew the bf109 yesterday and the prop visibility in vr was spot on. That should be implemented across all the aircraft. -
P47 sound balance issue? Can hear other aircraft over the p47
hazzer replied to hazzer's topic in Bugs and Problems
Can someone at ED fix this. As I showed in the video, the engine sound is drowned out by horrible tire noise when hear like helmet is on. Plus other aircraft are somehow much louder than the aircraft you are in. -
Thing is it only appears when asw is on, I assumed it was just an issue with that. Have you experienced any artifacting?
-
Yeah, so for the first time I have turned on motion vectoring and it was silky smooth! However in the P47 the propellor was glitchy when it is enabled and made it pretty much unplayable as it was distracting, is this just something I'm going to have to deal with when talking MV? Or should that not happen? If it is just how it will be then I can't stand to use it, maybe there is another solution to make looking around in the sim smoother without the awful janky view issues? Still seems crazy to me that having higher (albeit fluctuating) fps actually makes it seem like you are running a sideshow.
-
I'm not at my pc at the moment, the settings are all fairly high. With motion vector disabled the fps is between 45-90fps on all maps and missions. But that isn't really the issue and my in game settings shouldn't be related to this. So the issue I am having is the horrid artifacting when motionvector (or asw if that's what its called) is enabled, the game runs super smooth when it's on but the propellor on the P47 has werid effects showing making it look awful. The alternative is to disable asw and have the sim run between 45fps and 90 but the game is not smooth, it feels janky when moving around.

Hi guys, I've had the Samsung odyssey since day one and have only just enabled motion vector for the first time today. It felt super smooth which was great. However I had to turn it off since I was flying TH p47 and it made some horrid looking artifacts with the prop as it was spinning. So it is between using that and having a janky experience. Neither is great. Maybe someone has any experience?

Following up on this, a large part of this issue was hardware acceleration being enabled. That solved the FPS tanking. It hasn't solved most of the issue though. I have discovered that it is likely due to the FPS fluctuating a fair amount. When the FPS is stable at 90 there are no janky issues. The same can be said when ASW is enabled in WMR for steamvr settings. However, there are horrible artefacts which appear when that is enabled. So it is either, weird jank when looking around OR smooth with horrible artefacts. Neither option is great. Any other solution would be appreciated.

So when DCS is selected the fps drops by 20, when it isn't selected the fps rises again. If you look through VR you still see everything exactly the same, so there are no rendering differences. I believe the issue is related to hardware acceleration being enabled. However, this shouldn't be an issue as in most cases it actually helps games run smoother.

Hi there, so I purchased FPSVR, this showed me an issue which I have now been made aware of. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=286418 Here is a video of it running, you can see my usage. So I am currently trying to work out if the 'jankieness' issue is soley due to the fps dropping down or if it is caused by something else. As in the past I have managed to have the fps lower and it felt far smoother! Does anyone else experience the jankieness that I talk about?

Hi all, Whilst trying to solve an issue I am currently experiencing (https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=285412) I have found another. Using FPS VR I was seeing the impact on my gpu, what this ended up showing me was that when DCS is the selected window on the pc my fps drops by about 20 fps! Then when I tabbed to another window, it jumped up by 20. This is a massive issue that I hope someone can help me with. Please see the video below which highlights the issue.

Hi all. Still having this issue. Fps are steady 45plus and yet the game in the headset is unplayable. Felt sick after 2 minutes of sitting in the cockpit looking around. Lost for ideas on why the performance is reduced when looking in the vr view.

Hello... Please implement this ASAP
-
So how many more years do we have to wait for this product to be finished? This is rediculous.

This has been an issue forever. For some reason lots of these issues are being overlooked. The props on most of the aircraft are indeed unrealistic which I have posted about many times and it seems to be ignored. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=281472 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=276655 Also related to fps issues in piston aircraft: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=253448&page=6 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=280408&page=8

Any progress on the fps issues and LODs
-
Hello? Any fix for this, I see it has been marked as cannot reproduce. Simply turn hear like in helmet on in the p47 and you will see the issue.
-
Thanks, It turned out to be a cpu piroity issue. When dcs was selected windows vr processes were not a priority, change them to high and its fixed.

Hi, I understand a few months ago there was a lighting 'Update'. This Update brought more lighting issues than it seemed to improve. I am yet to see any fixes on all the oddities that have followed that update. Can someone confirm they are been track and acted on accordingly?
