  1. Hello, I'm sure you are aware that the lighting in DCS is flawed at best. There are some aircraft which have awfully unrealistic and frankly ridiculous lighting issues that have been around for far too long. Namely, the F-18 is the biggest offender. With orb like nav lights from a distance brighter than the sun.
  2. We have forcefeedback in the mossie. I don't see anything wrong with it?
  3. It is on there list of things that need to be finished.
  4. Sorry you have flawed logic there. If we pay for something it's expected that it should be finished. The only circumstances which I would say that not be the case is if the producer of said product went out of business. You mention the Dora, if that has issues then you should press for them to be fixed, don't use it as a reason to leave the Yakolev unfinished.
  5. Disabled ffb in settings if you don't have it.
  6. Hopeful we can get it installed and removed like the flare pistol.
  7. This is absolutely something we could do with looking at. The multi engine world is a whole new level and fiddling with the prop levers is part of it. I would also like to point out that not all engines/props will have the same power output with the same throttle position, one might need to be slightly further forward or back to match the other. This could be engine age, more wear and tear etc. Stuff like that would be game changing! (probably need a special option for this though as people with single throttles will struggle).
  8. They don't have visible flames in daylight, unless over primed! That would also be a nice feature, the ground guys shouldn't get it right all the time! You would expect pops and bangs quite a bit when you close the throttle on landing, till the prop rpm and engine stabilises as your speed reduces. You can see what I mean on this video at the 14:20 Mark
  9. That would be amazing, watching the guys go into the gear bay to prime the engines and stood there with a fire extinguisher etc. I would really love this. It is needed to bring the airports to life. To add to this, also the ground crew shouldn't always prime it perfectly. They don't always require the same amount of priming!
  10. Would be lovely to be able to remove this for just flying around as it isn't possible to see the vertical speed indicator when it's in place. For just throwing it around it is in the way when I'm enjoying the magnificent vr views.
  11. Hi all, Loving the mossie. Would appreciate it if we could have some more control assignment options, specifically looking at the gear flaps and bomb bay. I have been using my new honeycomb bravo throttle, I would like to use the gear and flaps lever. In the sim the controls mean we can go up a notch and down a notch, this doesn't work with the gear as it means the lever can put the gear down and then neutral or up then neutral. It would be nice to have the option so when you put the lever up it unlocks the safety and completes the action, moving the gear back to neutral. This slight automation could be replicated for the flaps and bomb bay doors which would stop me from having to click like there is no tomorrow on the gear after Takeoff!
  12. Yes I know? Nothing wrong with highlighting factors that should be worked on though.
  13. There was some amazing footage from Duxford the other week at an evening photoshoot with a spitfire. In the night you can see the blue flame from the exhaust which is amazing. Certainly cannot see it in the day though! These sort of effects really bring the game to life when refined and done right, looking forward to having some engine smoke when starting up as well hopefully?!
  14. Why can't we have both? As always I'm sure BTD has done an amazing job. He is open to improvements as well so if we find something I'm sure he will be willing to implement. I hope we have the option to have realistic props (ie we have to sync them otherwise we get the constant droaning).
  15. I think he means the fact none of the other ww2 aircraft have chocks or the ability to hold down the aircraft is an issue. Not that the mossie has them.
  16. Hi all, I am absolutely rubbish at soldering and making any modifications to things. It usually ends up with it being worse or broken. I have seen all the various mods to MSFFB2 joysticks to extend them, I was wondering if there was someone who can make such a modification to mine. Ideally I would like to have my FFB2 extended slightly and replace the stick with another (the trigger in mine has recently stopped working). If someone could help that would be great.
  17. Would much appreciate some decent aa options for vr. Currently the shimmering is just not great.
  18. Hi all. Sorry to bring this thread back but I've gone into dcs for the first time in a while and hopped in the p51. The flames with the engine running make the sim looks like a cartoon. Please change this. The overprime effect as said before isn't great either. An effect missing from most of the aircraft is some puffs of smoke, and some more variety in the way they start, not the same scripted fashion (we want spluttering, where appropriate)
  19. @BIGNEWY After some testing I have discovered this issue related to the single shade parser option. Previously before the new prop and other effects this was not an issue. Newy, could you confirm if the team are still looking into using single shade parser as a performance improvement? If so then this might need looking at, if not.. then i'll just have to disable and suffer the fps loss!
  20. That looks different to the visual effect shown here.
  21. So... Is this going to be fixed or what? It looks rediculous.
  22. Hi all, With my throttle setup I have a two throttles and one lever that I usually use as the prop axis for single engine aircraft. I would like to suggest an allowance is made in the programming for people to use a single axis, but then also to be able to drag the prop levers independently for fine tuning (to sync the rpm). This currently isn't possible in other aircraft as it detects small movement in the assigned axis and resets. Maybe a tiny deadzone on the axis position wherever it is could be made?
  23. With most piston engined aircraft idle (throttle back) is around 600-800rpm. It is not standard practice to start the engine and leave the throttle in that position as it leads to rough running and mag fowling etc. Standard in most aircraft is to set rpm to 1000-1200rpm till the oil temp rises. When taxying, yes you would probably need to idle the engine to taxi at the appropriate speed, so you would have to bring the throttle up every now an then to avoid such issues. Hope this helps.
  24. I have experienced this also. It appears if the host has it enabled it will be enabled for all players as well. When really it should just be either player option OR not allowed.
