  5. Rule of thumb : no AMD What I would do : GTX970 (or 1070 in a few months) 1 240GB SSD (doesnt really matter which one...) CPU : i5 6600K MB : any (I like ASUS) in the 90-100$ (CAN) range (so what, maybe 60 euros?) PSU : whatever fits what's left in your budget ;)

  8. ^As said, prox. fuze do not work and IR guidance is ridiculous. I have experienced it myself plently times, including a 1.5NM AMRAAM shot missing... To me this is the main problem with DCS right now which forces me to stay in 2.0. Where do I sign the petition? lol
  9. I disagree about the ''urgent'' part. I (and the vast majority of other pilots) never go beyond 10, MAYBE 11G as higher you'll just bleed you're speed as a madman and its pointeless. I think there's much more important right now since 1.5.4. Also, it was quite important for the flanker as the s key brought you at Gs that would make you blind even if it was for short and kept you conscious, while in the 15, you get away from realty by a few Gs which would generally just give the ground crew a hassle. (as I said, you rarely see eagles pulling 12+G in actual fights)

F-15s can support high Gs as it have been said in many other threads (12g for a few moments [on a 7.5G rated F-15A], so 14 instantaneous MIGHT be ok to keep on flying before the ground crew kills you). On the other hand, what have been said is that the F-15 should not be able to even generate VERY high G turns, so that might be the problem.

  13. Didn't look at the track yet, but I like it this way... If I put AIs on excellent, I want those AIs to be god. They already suck at BVR and are at best decent at BFM, so giving them an advantage is by no mean overpowerring them. Also, here we are talking more about balance than realism, as I can remember pilot statements from the gulf war of pilots getting tally at 10NM. But anyway, I want the AI to have advantages, else they just wouldn't put up a fight!

  15. Ok...that's just not enough information!!! Unless you tell me you are omniscient and it is impossible to approach you without knowing it, there's no problem there! IDK give us a track, a detailed debreif, a description of the simulation. What plane were you in? What are your skills in that plane? Besides, you can find an ennemy without radar. Else WW2 and F-5A would have never existed, so there's no proper issue in him going on your six without radar.
  16. Only the F-4? Can't remember an AI ever getting blind excepted when they bug-out. Also, how do you know they know? Try to provide more informations and to say why something is wrong instead of simple ''its wrong''.

  22. I did not mean it in a negative way, just wondering how you'd actually do it...The only way I see is to get a pass worded server and get to know everyone that has the password, which is a lot of gestion in the end.

Well...didn't intend to jack the topic as this has been going on for months, but given there are 5 other 1.5.4 missile threads might as well do it! lol For all the planes from the 70's to now, in BFM its all about the pilot. What i'm saying is that when you see that you enter the WEZ and get out of burners, if you happen to fight a R-73-carrier (R-73 over aim-9 in dogfights for reason I think are obvious) and he shoots maybe 2s after you cut off AB, that missile's won't pay any attention to flares, while in other planes (especially the mirage and its pretty much instantaneous spool time) flares would have worked. Given the nature of the R-73, if the launch parameters were good, you are very much doomed as it is (was up to 1.5.3) quite the challenge to defeate, which will leave you at a disadvantage for the rest of the fight, probably slow and being slow is horrible against a flanker.
