  1. Any news on that?
  2. Sorry I guess I answered too fast - didn't realize you're talking about a mission generator. Brilliant idea
  3. The thing is, if I already know what's going to be faulty while being on the ground, what's the point in starting that mission? For example: The oil pump is failed when the mission loads. So I'm going through the checklist very carefully already knowing I won't be able to startup and fly the aircraft, or fly it only for ten minutes, because I know I just started the mission where exactly this will happen. In my opinion, bad things should happen by chance, with me as the pilot not knowing beforehand what exactly will happen.
  4. Gotta try again :)
  5. I found the only way to kill helicopters is by using the cannon, as even the R-3S or R-60's won't lock on.
  6. It's been like that in East Germany as well. All the MiGs went to Dresden for their overhauls and came back painted in the colours which were currently available. In some cockpits over here (in museums of course) you can still see that the "old paint" becomes visible again where the "new paint" was not that durable :D, so you might have two different greens in one cockpit.
  7. Thanks you two :)
  8. Sorry, but am I missing something here? If you don't have pedals with toe brakes, you can still use a rotary switch or slider on your HOTAS, can't you? :ermm:
  9. Interesting that the MiG-21bis LAZUR could carry the SPS-141 pod, but the MiG-21bis SAU (which we fly) could not.
  10. Same applies for me
  11. During one of my last flights, the engine flamed out two times in a row. The first time I was able to relight, but the second time I didn't make it, though all parameters were OK. Did anyone experience the same? As far as I remember, in the past I was able to relight the engine as often as I wanted to.
  12. My source is the former MiG-21 pilot who, I guess, should definitely know what he was able to launch back then ;) If you are able to understand German, there's also this nice link http://www.flugzeugforum.de/threads/45110-Lenkraketen-an-MiG-21-Doppelsitzern (lots of former GDR pilots there  ) and the topic has also been discussed here http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=129523
  13. From a former GDR MiG-21 pilot: The RP-21 was able to create a "equal signal zone" (in German 'signalgleiche Zone') by using a rotating beam, on which the RS-2US could ride. The RP-22 was not able to do that, and thus could not be used to guide the RS-2US.
  14. It's always been like that, and as far as I know, it's supposed to be like this.
  16. Nicely explained, thanks very much
  17. Please excuse my stupid question - but why would we need these options? I'm not really familiar with dumb bombs. Thanks.
  18. Yeah... yeah.... you really need to comment on everything I guess.
  19. Yeah. With a working kneeboard.
  21. Did it just a week ago and had no issues at all. Everything is running fine.

    Literatur

  23. +1
  24. It's always been like that.
