Oh, you mean the country that got fed by the USA's Marshall Plan? Of course not, with only 1.700 erased cities, 32.000 destroyed factories and 27 million dead people, there was nothing to worry about, really.

Everytime I read those Soviet vs USA comparisons, accompanied by jingoism, I ask myself what the USA would have been capable of building and producing, if their homeland, their buildings and production plants would have been as destroyed as the ones of the Soviet Union after WW2... Sorry, just needed to get this off my chest.

Ich habe mich wohl etwas missverständlich ausgedrückt. Meine Aussage bezog sich auf den allgemeinen bundesdeutschen Umgang mit dem "Erbe Ost", sei es in der Architektur, der Kunst oder der Kultur. Dass in Museen viele Ost-Relikte stehen, ist natürlich lobenswert... war ja nach der Wende auch alles billig zu bekommen *duck und wech* :D

Man schafft nicht alle Exponate ab, nur die Exponate, die an die Existenz der DDR erinnern - wie überall in Deutschland. Einzig und allein der Kleinbusfahrer, der die Touristen mit ins Sperrgebiet nimmt, kann sich noch daran erinnern, dass einmal die NVA dort stationiert war. Aber hey - wenn man sich für das Dritte Reich interessiert, kommt man in Peenemünde voll auf seine Kosten.

To make the confusion perfect: The MiG-21bis SAU at the Museums here in Germany all have the VDI-30 with one (!) index for LASUR-commands (deactivated in the SAU versions).

Ich lese hier immer "Liebe zum Detail" und "absolut authentisch"?! Wenn die MiG mit Liebe zum Detail und zur Authentizität geschaffen worden wäre, dann könnte man das Flugzeug so bedienen, wie es die Altvorderen damals auch getan haben. Kann man aber nicht. Wer mal das echte Flugzeughandbuch querliest, weiß, was ich meine - Stichtwort optisches Visier, ARK-Navigation etc. pp. Aber diese Dinge wurden hier schon hunderte Male besprochen. Die Entwickler haben optisch (!) astreine Arbeit geleistet, aber von einem schönen Teller allein kann man leider nicht satt werden. Ich habe sicher über 500h auf der MiG, fliege sie aber nicht mehr, weil ich die oben erwähnten Dinge nicht mehr sehen kann, die schon seit Jahren bekannt sind und einfach nicht behoben werden. Wenn man die Entwickler dann auf Fehler anspricht (als jüngstes Beispiel sei hier die Canopy-Verglasung genannt), kommt echt teilweise die rotzfreche Aussage: "Es gibt Mods, lade sie dir runter, wir ändern es nicht mehr". Und dafür hab ich mal Geld ausgegeben.... Freu mich jetzt auf die 19 und 23. Also von mir - sorry - keine Empfehlung.

Deutschland vor 89 als Konfrontationslinie der beiden Weltsysteme ist sowieso langsam mal als Map fällig :thumbup:

Tag Raku, da hast du ja in den letzten Monaten genau das gleiche erlebt, wie wir... im Dezember neuer Hartz-Nachbar, seitdem Dauerbeschallung mit "Musik", Wohnungssuche, Umzug, alte Wohnung schick machen, neue Wohnung schick machen..... hab auch noch Winterreifen drauf... also tröste dich, du bist nicht allein :) Ein Lob (keine Werbung) an Vodafone, deren Internet-Umzugs-Service hat 1A geklappt.

The system stayed inside the aircraft for balance reasons. This information comes from a former GDR air force pilot and flight instructor who was based in FAG-25 Bautzen where all GDR pilots were trained on L-29 / L-39. He also lectured at the Military Academy. His name is Dr. Rainer Goepfert. The reasons for being disconnected were not "frequent faults", but other reasons as I already wrote here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3327513&postcount=78 I'm not stating this is 100% correct, but I guess a man like him should know what he's talking about.

The GDR ones had the systems installed and used. Later on, it turned out that they were pretty useless for their intended use (firing IR missiles), so they were disconnected, but left inside the aircraft for weight reasons.

Has anybody found an answer to this? Why hasn't the SRD been implemented?

Well, that would literally mean I spend even more money for a product I've already paid for - just to get it finished. Because I don't GAF about the CE II.

Probieren kann ich es ja, aber ich denke, die 2 GB VRAM der Karte schieben dem Ganzen einen Riegel vor. Hab bis jetzt nur 1.5.x.

Und bis es soweit ist, kommt DCS 2.5 bei mir vermutlich in die Warteschleife. Mit meiner GTX 670-Gurke komm ich ab dem 31.01. nicht mehr weit :cry:
