  1. Hopefully it won't be under-used like the NTTR map due to its small size. There are only a handful of MP servers using NTTR as opposed to the BS map. It might be better to hold off its release until it can be developed and expanded to rival the BS map in scope.
  2. As nice as this looks......how much more difficult is it in spotting moving ground targets?
  3. See, I was thinking....ZIGGY.
  4. In that vein....I had designed a mission that focused on evading Manpads. All client aircraft were immortal.....you knew if you sustained a hit or not. It actually worked pretty well. I bring this up because you always have the "immortal" option for training. I would NEVER use it for anything else.
  5. What was his DCS callsign?
  6. Fascinating. A great guy for spending the time.
  7. It might be helpful to know what time zone are you located in and what times are you generally available?
  8. Same here.....you need to gently tap the brakes or you will go into a skid. Apply NWS below 50 kts.
  9. Well.....maybe we'll see some changes when ED gets back to work next week.
  10. Excellent work. Thank-you very much for doing this.
  11. Many thanks to the 476th for releasing their mission to other groups to be offered on public servers. I've been flying it on the 104th.....excellent. I wouldn't expect anything less.
  12. True, but there are now a third of the servers up that used to be. As mentioned, the SOH map will be smaller. That's concerning. 1.5 improved the BS map but I have so many hours on that map, I'm just tired of it......plus the older graphics just can't match the newer NTTR. As far as Red vs Blue, I agree NTTR isn't a great set up for that. However, there's plenty of space for ground pounding missions vs AI. Hopefully the F18 and SOH will inject some long term enthusiasm into the community.
  13. I'm seeing less and less MP servers for NTTR. Are people tired of that map already? The graphics are fantastic.....I'm surprised.
  14. Great idea, Mav.
  15. Thank-you, sir.
  16. No. It would be very convenient to map it to a switch on my throttle. Glad to see its being considered. I have so few good ideas.....
  17. In the future, will the seat adjustment commands be able to be mapped to my controller?
  18. What is the difference between the two NAVs....Cm, Cv......The chart in the manual indicates they basically provide the same information.
  19. I've been practicing a good deal of CCIP drops using the Mirage 2000C lately....without much success. I've experimented with various dive angles but that's another discussion. It seems if I don't get a direct hit, it sustains no damage (I generally drop two bombs at once). I was on the 104th and watching other Mirages and Mig21s dropping unguided bombs and I could see that their bomb drops were very close (right next to the target) but no damage. It seems to be the same with rockets. The rockets are exploding all over the target but no damage unless its a direct hit. My question.....Is that realistic? Is it just a characteristic of DCS? Its very frustrating. I have to drop 4 snake eyes to get a hit.
  20. Thanks....I missed that in the manual. I was wondering where the marker lights were...
  21. While on approach, I had a momentary flashing "M" at the top of the HUD. I've checked the manual and can't seem to find what that might mean.
