  1. You are probably correct. However, you do get warnings, both audible and an indication on the HUD if you turn it on.
  2. I'm not. There is an IFF ALERT option in the IFFCC menu. Go to DISPLAY MODES, IFF ALERT. You have two modes available. While flying with my squad I was receiving Mode 4 alerts.
  3. The manual indicates that this option is NOT FUNCTIONAL. However, when set I do get alerts on the HUD. Would someone please explain what is actually working with this option set and what it is indicating. Any info is appreciated.
  4. If you can wait the number of years it takes to create such a map.
  5. I agree it looks great. Are any of the cities going to be remodeled to resemble their real world appearance? It's not a big deal (actually a very small one)....just curious.
  6. Thank-you.....
  7. How is "Take Approach" turned off?
  8. The recent update fixed the issue. Thanks for your quick responses to my PMs.
  9. I can connect to my squad's server but I get no data whatsoever. The problem does not exist on the server side as other members are able to connect/receive data. Any suggestions are appreciated.
  10. That is not normal.
  11. Do you have any mods activated? If so, deactivate them ALL and see if that corrects the issue. If so, then re-activate them one at a time until you identify the problem mod.
  12. Can't make it at those times. Doughboy is going to take great notes for me.
  13. I would very much like to participate as well and my availability should coincide with Doughboy's.
  14. You can check specs in my signature......I run 45-60 fps with most items on HIGH..... Just be sure 40" is big enough. I first I thought it was over the top....now I wish I had bought a 50".
  15. Thanks, Yurgon. I'll give it another look. I may have been so focused on the needle that I didn't notice if I was getting range or not. I should have picked that up from the article. Nice to hear from you again. Cheers.
  16. I've never been able to figure out how to use the TACAN aircraft to aircraft (exception being the tanker). I've read the instructional article as published by MUDSPIKE, but I'm doing something wrong.....the needle just spins. I've double checked the channel numbers (63 apart). Article: http://www.mudspike.com/how-to-use-the-air-to-air-tacan-in-dcs-a-10c/ Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  17. Thank-you, sir.
  18. Is the weapons hints toggle still available? It is still listed in the control options. I have Autopilot availability checked on the special options menu. When I use LCNTRL+LSHFT+H...nothing happens. The crew toggle is working....LW+H.
  19. Thanks for posting that BD. I remember when he designed that. He had sent it to me for an opinion.....he liked that design very much.
  20. RIP buddy. I think of you every time I jump into the cockpit of the A10C.
  21. If you choose the weapon from the DSMS page by selecting the corresponding OSB instead of scrolling with DMS Left/Right or ACT PRO from the Profile Page, the weapon profile will resort to default setting.
  22. Installing/executing everything AS ADMINISTRATOR may help resolve some issues.
  23. As requested.....It freezes while "LOADING." I have to CTRL,ALT, DEL. dcs.zip
  24. I have a number of missions, simple in design that I had created some time ago. Since the most recent updates for both 1.5 and 2.0, the missions will not load unless I load them through the Mission Editor. Once they do load through the ME, the briefing area is blank. The mission will work perfectly, but like I said they are simple (AAR, target practice, etc). I tried saving the mission in the ME and then try to open it the conventional way without success. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  25. I spent many years flying various flight sims. Nothing else really can compare to DCS. They have truly set the bar. Sure, we all have our pet wishlists and frustrations (nature of the beast), but in terms of quality, DCS can't be beat. I'm very much looking of forward to what is on the horizon.
