Anyone have any idea when the above animations are coming to the Hornet?

There was another post on the Super Carrier forum about the ready room and Air Boss Deck waiting on Vulkan AI. It specifically stated what BIGNEWY stated, and that is they are bringing functionality to DCS we have NEVER seen before in the sim. I would go as far to say as walking around in first person because if you check the controls menu, they have already implemented a section for this. They have also talked about walking from the ready room to the flight deck and your aircraft. Walking around the Air Boss Deck. All of this has been discussed through many threads on this forum. Just like aircraft modules, this takes a lot of time to complete and to do it right where they receive a positive reaction and push out a solid realistic product which we all expect. Implementing first person into DCS I would assume will be a foundational thing for future content which means they need to get it right from the start. Patience is a virtue, and we already have a ton of amazing content in game to enjoy and master. I want the carrier update as bad as anyone else, but to say the situation has not changed and to assume you know they do not have the resources to work multiple modules is an unfair statement when it is just your opinion backed up with no solid facts. Enjoy what you have, and take pleasure in knowing when they do release this, it will exceed all expectations because this level ED has always held themselves to. No need to throw fists because we are impatient.

HAHA!!!! I never ceases to amaze me what is coming out for home sim cockpits. I just recently found a company that does the F-14 throttle quadrant, I consider myself a veteran of knowing companies that make flight sim equipment. Love finding new stuff! https://throttletek.com/gf-14-throttle/

Deka Simulations announces the DCS: J-8II for DCS World!
Devil 505 replied to Mike_Romeo's topic in DCS: J-8II
Look at 2:28, the Chinese Government used DCS to promote their AAR refueling. LOL. They owe us now! Information for the next Chinese Red module in return for using this footage of JF-17. -
Any comms on when we might see a VR pilot? Just started the flying the JF-17 as an aggressor and getting to learn her again. Really enjoying this under rated module. I think in many ways, there are options on her that are ahead of other DCS modules, including the F-15. The ability to remove the red gear and ladder (requirement) or the panel to change laser codes on the ground, are all functions I feel should be required for other modules. The new F-15E suffers from not being able to change the laser codes on the ground. They should have implemented this from the get go. I am actually going to shoot a quick VR mission and post the video over on the F-15E forum suggesting it. I just want to thank the devs for doing such a great job with this module. Looking forward to learning more over the next few weeks.

Add me to that list and the two gents I fly with. Slow start up for sure.

Good call! I have not done night tanking yet. Need Nods for sure

I have not seen this thread posted in here yet so I thought I would kick it off. Here is a quick mission I threw together at night.

I had it trimmed and noticed the same oscillation after it had been working fine. Not sure what it is. I always set the trim on cold start.

You really do not need NVG's for the SE but I used them once in this simple mission I created. All in VR. I to would like to see the gain controls added. Probably and easy slip that will be added soon.

Visor works great on a sunny day to assist! Been asking for it in VR for a long time now and love having it.

VR is running just fine for me. Some issues on the Sinai map as expected in highly populated building areas, but I am running everything on high as well. Flew the Syria map last night and was flawless. The video below was online with my buddy over the Sinai using the PIMAX. Great time!

I have noticed when scanning with the ground radar at longer distances, the game takes a pretty big FPS hit for a moment, then regains it original FPS. I saw an option in the special tab for radar stuff but not entirely sure what it does. My buddy has experienced the same issue with the ground radar. I also noticed when activating the record button on the ground radar to take screenshots, it can impact the FPS if left on for to long. Outstanding feature though!!!! Really digging it. And I can confirm, it works fine in multiplayer/single player and in VR. Some screen shots below. null

F-15E Something Werid Appears in WSO Cockpit
Devil 505 replied to navyseals_x's topic in Bugs and Problems
I too have scene this paranormal activity when flying with my buddy. I knew there was always something wrong with him. -
I have not been able to get the right hand or left hand control working at all. I have bound all keys to the RH stick with no joy. Also bound the switch control stick button and toggle button. Still no joy. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cargo Aircraft in DCS and why we need it
Devil 505 replied to Devil 505's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Well time for another one I think would compliment the DCS WW2 scene in the Pacific and even the Atlantic. The Grumman Goose. There were multiple variants to include SAR and recon roles. This would be a good aircraft for the dynamic campaign if a pilot, AI or real, ejected and needed to be rescued. It would also be ideal for spotting enemy Naval vessels and reporting them to fighter/bombers. I for one would gladly take the role up to locate enemy ships on a dynamic online server where it would generate more missions for players. Maybe do some sub spotting. Let me know what you think. Below is a simulated takeoff and island rescue of a downed pilot in the South Pacific. -
Well you cant fly over North Korea so this has to be Vietnam!!!! Korea has been asked for but not near as much as a Vietnam map. Not to mention we have the Crusader, Super Sabre, Intruder, A-7, and Skyraider in the works. Oh hell yeah this would be a good move! Not to mention what we already have for the map. And the (non-vietnam period specific) F-4 inbound. Looking forward to them releasing the news on what they are actually doing next, but this makes the most since.

SA-342 Gazelle 2023 "FM" Update
Devil 505 replied to Polychop Simulations's topic in SA-342M Gazelle
I am experiencing the exact same thing, which sucks, because the periscope is amazing in VR and I need the pilot to keep the Helo still. Only way I have managed to work it for the time being is using Trim for both cyclic and rudder. Still difficult though because I cannot get it to stay in one place without it rolling on me once in auto hover. I have tried disengaging the trim system when using the auto hover which helps a little, but then you are at the mercy of holding the aircraft nose on with the rudder while in hover without rolling it out of auto hover. Not a deal breaker, I want this to be like the real thing and if this is the case, then I am fine with that. Just wanted to see if others were struggling like I was flying solo and trying to use the missiles now. -
SA-342 Gazelle 2023 "FM" Update
Devil 505 replied to Polychop Simulations's topic in SA-342M Gazelle
So no more auto hover/collective? It still seems to try to engage this when following the old method of coming into a hover. Just want to make sure I am not wasting my time with auto hover when trying to shoot from the copilot position. This would imply you damn near need a friend flying while you shoot the hot missiles unless you have it trimmed out extremely well. Can you anyone verify this, the only way to stay somewhat in a hover and nose on is to become a master of the trim while acting as the copilot/HOT missile operator? -
Got everything up and running. Is it to early to ask why the hand gestures are not working in VR when launching from the carrier deck? I saw it in todays Sanai map release trailer and was fired up. No dice! Launched from the carrier on the new map and no gestures. This would bring so much more realism to those of us who just fly in VR. Hoping this is a bug they need to squash or a feature soon to be released.

While I greatly appreciate the update and transparency with the community, I was a bit disappointed to see pretty much the same news we got from the last update. All the photos and videos released in this update have already surfaced multiple times on the forums and I feel like this was just a reassurance they were polishing some stuff off, but I felt the same way last time we go a sitrep like this. Asking for a release date is unrealistic but if you were only working on the damage model and some taxi behavior, a few teasers of the carrier with the corsair would have been nice. Not really complaining per say, but I got nothing out of the update that has not been said on the road map or in the forums already. Also, as a Mig-21 module owner, I greatly appreciate the call made to update and stay true to the module, but I would not want to see it take precedence over the Crusader. Sounds like a ton of work is going into remodeling the textures and flight model. I hate to hear the crusader being on the backburner for a second maybe even a third year in a row. This is not a bash session by any stretch. just hope some reprioritizing takes place and maybe some more flare on the next update, or better yet, a very loose time frame on when we can expect anything.

Cargo Aircraft in DCS and why we need it
Devil 505 replied to Devil 505's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Just did a quick video last night on the JU-52. One we need in DCS for sure on the German WW2 side of the house. Had several vital roles during the war and is a prolific aircraft that would compliment DCS very well. Mine sweeper, medic role, cargo role, troop insertions roles. Especially when we get paratrooper capabilities. For the sake of history, I took off out of Dessau Germany where she was conceived and flew her first flight. -
Cargo Aircraft in DCS and why we need it
Devil 505 replied to Devil 505's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Finally got the AN-2 video knocked out. Again, in the spirit of DCS, I flew her out of Batumi. I know this is not the first time there has been a plea to bring this old girl to DCS. I hope this video is another example of what DCS could bring to the cargo market. I plan on working a JU-52 video next flying out of Germany. I think this one would be a great addition to the WW2 scene as well. Plenty of history there to make a fine addition to zzz Germans in DCS. I will also do a DC-3 video. I was hoping the C-47 would have been out by now by A2A sims but no dice. I still feel like the C-47 is being developed as a full flying module by ED. There have been multiple hints at it in the past Suntsag who posts the WW2 content for ED on YouTube. I will link 2 of his videos below to prove my point. Watch the the last few seconds of each one. ED, if I am wrong in this assumption or I am starting a rumor that is far off base, please advise, or let the hype train continue. -
Cargo Aircraft in DCS and why we need it
Devil 505 replied to Devil 505's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I plan on trying to knock out a video flying this later on in MSFS for a simulated DCS experience. Been learning the start up process. Very old school and all in Russian. I will try to get it up tonight if possible. I agree though, would love to see this one come to DCS. Another great addition for transport operations.
