  1. Hate to hear this gents. Alot of sad followers hearing this news. Sounds like there is no changing your minds, but I will make one last ditch attempt to say whatever someone said about your project that set you off, there are far more of us that respect your work and time you dedicated to this community. You left a footprint in the DCS community I wish you were not so quick to leave. We had high hopes for what you had in mind next. If you do not mind me asking, what sim are you leaving DCS for?
  2. @Mistermann I wonder who this Little Bird might be. Such a travesty for no real good reason to their faithful followers. @Massun92 Could I recommend starting the Huey back up and maybe even going after doing a Huey Hog? There was an old mod out there that could really be turned into a polished gem of a mod. Really appreciate all your hard work and supporting your work into the future with DCS. Our Into the Jungle Vietnam experience would not be possible without your ground assets. Really hoping to see more in the future. We need some more Vietnam era stuff. And congrats on the new job and beefing up the house. Always a fantastic feeling and makes coming to DCS all that much better after a long day at work. Thanks for all you do for the community.
  3. Entertaining the idea now. I have them in the mission and will start testing hopefully this week. More to come. Need to make sure they do not impact other mods.
  4. @tobi @Eight Ball Where you at boys!!!! Check out the enthusiasm above! it is all because of you. We need some hope here the Empire did not win this war.
  5. Its finally here. First iteration and successful flight test of the upcoming alert fighters (F-4E for now) out of Andersen. The spawns will be randomized and only happen when you jump into the alert aircraft. All you fighter jocks better be up to speed on your air to air skills. These bombers will target random locations at Andersen to include client slots. If it destroys them, those aircraft will be out of action. This will enhance keeping those skills sharp and provide a real good reason to intercept. Really looking forward to expanding this some more. This was the first real test. Felt great!
  6. @tobi @Eight Ball I figured I would start posting all my Cayuse videos here as well as our thread so you see how prevalent your module has been to the community. I stopped posting on here because I did not want to take up thread space with our content, but after the scuttle with some unappreciative community members, I want you guys to see your hard work at play and know that this is our weekly Helo that keeps the Jungle alive on our server as well as the dedicated servers people are putting up with our mission and your helo. You have literally turned single player virtual pilots into multiplayer scouts. DCS Afghanistan and Iraq need the same thing with the Little Bird. Dont give up on us gents!
  7. This past weekend's flight below. Have one more video I need to knock out after I lifted back off in this one. This stuff never gets old. Standby for Kandy's teaser above. Air to Air/Base defense is inbound to ITJ once we have tested it and ironed out any issues. Another role that will require the team and skilled pilots to protect Andersen, and yes there will be consequences for failing to stop the bombers.......Brush up on those F-4E ATA skills!
  8. @Tobi @Eight Ball pe you gents are tracking all the love. Really hoping you do not bail on us. The community needs you!
  9. HAHAHAH! Yes, those clowns who made Into the Jungle are us. LOL. Just posted a video this morning from our last flight. Thread for ITJ is below with the latest video. We got all kinds of ideas and objectives we are incorporating into our mission that will transfer over to other maps very well. Stay tuned. We have our heads in the jungle right now, but I see some Desert combat on the horizon.
  10. @Hawkeye60 Outstanding news! Any chance you have any updates? Currently the guys and I are working on a Vietnam experience and it is taking off like crazy with the community. I would like to incorporate your mod as long as it works with the A-4, Bronco, and OH-6 Cayuse/VAP pack. Take a look at what we are doing below. Link is in the video description to our thread on the forums. Feel free to download our stuff and test the CH-53. It would be a good test bed ensuring it is compatible with other mods. I would really like to use it on our map. Having a Jolly Green would be great!
  11. So today was a quick test "literally" of how the bombers will attack Andersen in an alert F-4. What I did not expect was how close Kandy put them to Andersen for the test and also that he snuck an escort Mig-21 in there. The outcome as you can guess did not turn out in my favor. I did not even have time to arm, but damn cool takeoff and successful test of a very cool implementation on the way.
  12. Follow up video to @tobi @Eight Ball
  13. @tobi @Eight Ball I realized that there was never a separate Little Bird thread created when Tobi and Eight Ball started working it. This might have been a reason for the lack of motivation. I have posted their progress photos below but as of late they have stopped development. I feel this was not in the spotlight like it should have been. If I could ask to pull the community together on this one and bounce over to the OH-6A forum for Tobi and Eight Ball. They are ceasing all work on their mods to include the Cayuse and the upcoming Little Bird due to lack of motivation. Not sure if it is lack of motivation internally or from the community, but I thought we could do our best as a community to hold them up and let them know they are wanted and very important to us and our experience in DCS. I created a video for them providing my support. I encourage everyone to drop them a line on their forum below and or create a video if that is your thing. We need guys like this to stick around. They value is tremendous to this community and they are providing content ED has never touched before in DCS.

  15. HAHAHA, we do it owe everyone this!!!! I will talk to Kandy about it. We got sucked into our Vietnam ITJ mission which was a small side project, and it blew up into a fan boy favorite of the community. We had the groundwork laid out for the last few missions so I will get with Kandy and see if we can't get it knocked out. We do want to finish it! I will see if we can do a fam flight again in the Kiowa and get back on track with it. Appreciate the support and follow up. Love that community digs our stuff!!!! Thank you so much for the support.
  16. @tobi @Eight Ball I second my friend's comments and will take it a step further. Please listen to my video gents. You have done more than just create a mod for DCS, you have changed the community. You have turned long time single player DCS members into cooperative machines on dedicated servers. This is all because of you and your hard work. The Little Bird was going to be the game changer helo for the Afghanistan and Iraq map in my humble opinion, based on facts from our ITJ mission. I had too much to say in a thread so please take the time to listen to my overwhelming gratitude for what you have brought to DCS and the community and my plead to have you stick around.
  17. Last video for the weekend. Finally had a chance to shoot a CSAR from the Chinook. No chapters in this video. I narrated this one to give some advice on flying, landing, and performance in ITJ. Hope it helps. Really looking forward to bringing more functionality to the Chinook in ITJ in the near future. This not only a blast to fly but also to hear and see coming in while flying the Cayuse or Huey. You can hear her coming a ways out. Love it! More to come.
  18. And the here is today's video of the actual first combat flight with the boys. What a great time it was!!!! Absolutely looking forward to more flights with Puff! Even more so looking forward to flying with the Cayuse while Zipper or Kandy are overhead bringing the rain. Hope you enjoy. More vids to come.
  19. Introducing the Anubis C-130 mod into ITJ. It has been a phenomenal mod that has been around for a long time. In current state, it is a great aircraft to use for CAS and loitering overhead for your friends online or searching for targets solo. Shooting takes some practice, and I need it for sure. You will need to get use to watching where you first point of impact is and then learn how to walk your rounds to the target. It takes some practice. I welcome anyone who has more experience than I do (very little) in this mod to please provide your comments. I would like to become more accurate at a higher altitude, but I find the sweet spot currently is around 3 to 4K for me. This is the latest version (Last version from several years back). If anyone knows how to change the gun reticles or replace them, I am open to suggestions. It would be nice to have something a little more subtle. We plan to try some further things with this mod other than just a combat role. More to come. I do not want to give the entire list of ideas away. We need a lot of scripting and testing in the background before we commit to anything. Hope you enjoy this as much as we are starting to. It will be ready to implement in the next update and we will upload the front page with the download link.
  20. One other thing about the alert fighters which I probably should have said. I set those 3 up for some future content where we hope to randomly spawn incoming bombers to the Airfield which will bomb Andersen. I would like to have random fighter escorts around them as well, so you never know what kind of hornets' nest you are getting into. This is on the list of things to attempt but we need to script and test it first. These alert F-4's that are on a hot start are armed for intercept. Not to say you cannot rearm them for ground attack. Just wanted you to know what was on our mind with those 3 and why they were labeled differently. That is also why they are at the end of the runway and in place for a quick launch. More to come in the future with intercept fighters. I have some ideas for the upcoming F-104 as well.
  21. Yesterday's tutorial for using the radar and dive toss mode in the A-4. Been a while since I used it, but very effective. The landing was an embarrassment though. Thought I would keep it in there.
