  1. This isn't an RB thing - pre-order and then EA is an ED thing. After several recent EA releases that were definitely under-cooked I'm not surprised if ED is being cautious (and RB have always released modules into EA in a relatively complete state). I do find it rather curious that you're advocating for modules to hit EA in a less complete state.
  2. DCS liberation provides infinite linked missions as part of a dynamic campaign, each of which you can play SP or MP.
  3. Your sarcasm meter may be overdue for inspection and calibration.
  4. Are you saying this classified information is just out there? That the US gov isn't taking it all down, prosecuting everyone that takes a photo of the cockpit, blacking out the canopy when they display the aircraft at airshows and so on? After all, the aircraft is still flying so every detail must still be classified.

    Weaponry?

Is anything ever final? If they get information that a particular weapon config actually cannot be used for whatever reason (such as weapon A next to weapon B results in one damaging the other) then it'll be removed, as it should be.
  6. Hinting at progress on testing is completely counterproductive. How long testing will take depends entirely on how many problems are found, how long they take to fix, how many problems are found during re-testing, how long they take to fix, etc. They won't know how long it'll take to test until testing is complete.
  7. I replaced the tailpiece of the TM grip with a steel one that has the forward rake built in and epoxy bedded it into the grip. No play inside the grip and no play between the grip and base. https://www.shapeways.com/product/XRFBJD5SX/thrustmaster-joystick-tailpiece-13-deg-angle-m?optionId=58918864&li=shops
  8. If you get any feedback about the problem I'd be very interested. I'm curious to know what defect is causing that because they are mechanically very simple.
  9. This is most likely your grip, not the base. If you've got an RS grip then make sure the four screws around the bottom of the grip are tight. If you're using a TM then check the two screws that hold the tailpiece - one is at the bottom rear the other is inside. In both cases I recommend using a suitable thread locker (loctite 819) so that they stay tight.
  10. Also, you'll find that it'll run into your legs. Bases intended for that kind of use have less travel
  11. You mean, "at least May"?
  12. There's likely to be a bunch of cross-pollination between FCAS and Tempest. It might even become one airframe except that the French will insist on a catapult launch capable aircraft so we'll end up with at least two.
  13. We don't need to speculate too much. The MOD and USAF both have public plans for the next gens. The BAE Tempest is looking to be an evolution of the F22 into a drone controller. (It's the sleek one in the pics) The US NGAD takes that idea further - if the drones are going to do the fighting then make the controller bigger to give it longer legs. There's already an NGAD demonstrator flying, Tempest is a few years away.
  14. If an aircraft is on both sides in a conflict then your ROE on the DTC will cause an aircraft of that type with no IFF response to not be flagged as hostile. To be flagged as hostile will require no IFF response and NCTR to return an aircraft type listed in your ROE as enemy force only.
  15. The sunshield is a very classy touch.
  16. I'm not sure you can create three separate viewports which is what you'd need to make that work. I'll let someone else comment on that. Assuming you can't, the problem you have is that the center display has a very different pixel density to the other displays and you need to correct that (so change the vertical resolution of the center screen to as close as possible to 1080). Then it will work fine.
  17. Don't you know that when a Dev says "maybe, if everything goes well, it might be possible to do thing on date" that means it absolutely will happen and if it doesn't then it's FALSE ADVERTISING?
  18. Same problem with rotary encoders as well.
  19. If you're close to Wroclaw, there are cheap flights from there to East Midlands Airport which is very close to NAM.
  20. https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/mig-23mf-cockpit-photogrammetry-58cf3d0bccea4f069acde600c2aaced1 ETA - you're a Brit? You should talk to Newark air museum. They're great and they do make cockpits accessible on most of their exhibits. I don't know what state the Mig23's cockpit is in but talk to them. If it's mostly complete then ask if you can get access to it to take pics and measurements on a quiet day.
  21. And let's not forget the same baseless speculation said we'd probably have an idea of the release date in summer 2013.
  22. I have a hide pilot button as part of my interactive startup checklists. Once startup is done I turn the body back on.
  23. It's not. WW did their own thing with grip attachment where most others went with a more or less TM compatible system. WW sell a kit to make their bases TM compatible but I'm not aware of anyone selling a kit to make their bases WW compatible and RS certainly don't.
  24. The USAF NGFWH has the whole head mounted display and visor pull off to mount NVGs. They also tested using the head mounted display with cameras and determined that it was inferior. Camera/display based NV systems have a long way to go. An NV system inferior to regular NVGs would be a nice addition?
  25. Were you losing the fuel in that wing?
