  1. I just use the Move Cockpit Camera commands (which I have re-bound to my arrow keys) when I sit down in the cockpit. For example, in the Harrier I tap the down arrow 3-4 times and it moves my head back a little bit so I'm not hugging the UFC so closely. Seems about right to me. < = Move head down (get shorter) > = Move head up (get taller) ^ = Move up closer to the UFC v = Move back further from the UFC
  2. The Harrier radios are jacked up in the game right now, we are still waiting on RAZBAM to fix/implement them properly.
  3. Would be nice if I could update my callsign while in the server...that way if I join and end up going on a sortie with Mustang, we could on the fly change our in-game to Phoenix 11 and Phoenix 12. Too much of a PITA to leave the server then come back any time you want to update your callsign for your current flight package (especially so with the long load times people are experiencing) That said, 100% agree that I would like to see the practice of adding a flight name and # preceding callsigns...we just need ED's help to make it more feasible.
  4. Relevant update: https://vkbcontrollers.com/?p=9860 GFP and MCG bumped back to March now. The new bundle with TMW adapter sounds relevant to me...plus the “W” cam, designed to compensate for the added weight of the TM Warthog grip for the pitch axis.
  5. I rolled back to 388.71 and found an improvement versus the latest driver. Wonder if it's worth rolling back even further?
  6. Hell yes! I can't wait for this to come out so that I can add it to my VR pit
  7. Well, the Slaw RX Vipers arrived and I finally had a chance to set them up very early this morning before I headed in to the office. Damper is installed and they are bolted on to my pedal plate on the WSP. (again, sorry for the shitty iPhone pics) Next up: Custom JetSeat SE from Andre, I received the message from him yesterday that it was finished being made and that he will be shipping it to me shortly. I should have it here in the states within a few weeks. My sketch (made-to-measure to fit my Steelcase Leap V2): His final product: Also currently working with rrohde at VKB NA to coordinate an order/pre-order of a VKB Gunfighter Pro with the 20cm extension.
  8. Yeah, my "that ED is working to fix" would imply ED also thinks a fix would be nice. Be patient. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. There's a memory leak that ED is working to fix, 16GB is still plenty.
  10. Thanks dude, will give this a shot next time I fire DCS up -- probably a few days as things are quite busy at the moment. Appreciate the follow up
  11. Get a damper on those Slaws my man! Really cool pit, creative design. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. It used to launch just fine running in DCS, but it never actually affected the picture in the HMD... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I think the point of SRS is to simulate real life Comms. Hence you should be using proper brevity and starting all calls with who you're calling follow by your callsign. No need for a crutch of the persons name being shown. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Ah yes, that hadn't even crossed my mind somehow lol. Thanks dude! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Ah, my mistake. I think the expanded radios are just done in SRS for FC3 level aircraft but I'm not certain. Ciribob would be the guy to ask for certain, but I'd expect that the Harrier will only have 2 functional radios in DCS fully integrated/simulated like the real jet...and controlled within the Harrier once RAZBAM updates the radius modeling. I believe 30FM is just the dummy freq Ciri gave the Harrier since Comms 2 doesn't do a thing currently. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. From the pocket guide, re: the ODU... Option 2: This option is only available when the selected frequency is between 225.000 to 400.000 MHz. It toggles between AM or FM modulation. Otherwise it is blank. V/UHF Radio Set Control is still a WIP, I will search through the NATOPS manual later tonight and see what else I can find out on it.
  17. Embrace the realism and the immersion of operating multiple radios as the real guys would  It's definitely a little bit of a learning curve but very quickly it becomes second nature to you just like everything else. Also, just a tip that I've found to help limit the comms overload a bit: While I always join in the 104th TS when flying, once I am loaded in to the server and on SRS comms I mute my mic and my sound. If someone wants to contact me to coordinate in flight, I request that they do so via SRS. Otherwise I catch myself having to work to figure out if someone is talking to me in SRS or in TS, and that is an unnecessary workload for me. TS is pre-flight, SRS is in flight.
  18. It really is a great thrill trying to do CAS pushed that close to the enemy. Without adequate CAP it causes you to really think about your strategy and plan your flight in advance...even then, it can all fall apart in the blink of an eye. It can be frustrating getting shot down over and over, but like you said, that's real life  Another thing that will help immensely for CAP/CAS coordination, at least on the Blue side, will be the Harrier having two functional radios once RAZBAM updates for it. The Harrier is the current majority of blue CAS, but it's a massive PITA to flip back and forth between 257.8 and 140.0 on Comms 1. Once I can have both tuned on Comms 1 and 2, it will be so nice to have simultaneous coordination with my CAS guys on working the ground targets and be able to 1) stay apprised of the situation with CAP on 257.8 and 2) call for CAP on 257.8 when necessary. It's do-able now, it just causes a huge headache and breaks communications on 140.0 and you never really know what the CAP situation is looking like
  19. I think the Systray step must be where I am going wrong. Will give this a shot tonight, thank you sir! o7
  20. Would rather see a F-16, or any number of other Redfor multi-role or fighters before seeing a Super Hornet to complement the Hornet we are getting. Would it be cool to have a Rhino? Sure. But it's a ways down my list.
  21. Well shit, that ruins that idea then  I do the same as you...I use them both.
  22. Turn the volume of the radio you have tuned to the ATC freq down then?
  23. Wonder if it will be adaptable to the VKB base?
  24. Bump for this...I've still been too stupid to be able to figure it out
  25. I got lucky and never felt even the slightest bit of motion sickness when I got my CV1 last August (within 5 seconds I was doing barrel rolls, pulling G's, etc like a mad man wow'd out of my mind) but I've heard many many times from people that did that JetSeats/ButtKickers help to reduce the effects substantially...you might want to give one of those a shot to continue to enhance your VR experience?
