  1. Appreciate the suggestion. I did all of that, moved the seat up and down (which helped but made the view of where I was sitting within the cockpit weird...i.e. like I had a 6 inch torso sitting on the seat). No matter what combination I tried it's impossible to get the view to a realistic point (looking out of the cockpit through the HUD), where you're also sitting in the cockpit in a realistic position. I'm assuming this is just a known/common issue that's not been fixed? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Can someone please, please, pleaaaase help me to achieve a realistic head position/camera view, where I can still see the HUD properly? When I move the default camera back far enough, I can't see the HUD properly. When I then move my head up or down, it's like I have a 12 inch torso and the stick/grip is at my neck level. What the hell is wrong with the cockpit view?! :joystick: The Harrier does this perfectly, the Warthog is by far the worst I've seen (I don't own every module) I am in VR, if that is useful to know..so no TrackIR lean back and set the head position voodoo, please. Please help, if you can. Thank you kindly in advance
  3. Sit/lean forward, then turn/rotate around. If you can't accomplish that, work on gaining some of the flexibility your body should have back.
  4. I run both together, and I do so in VR with a boosted PD and the DCS preset "High" settings plus I turn AF up to 8x and move the sliders to the right :music_whistling:
  5. Read the sticky from CptSmiley in the AV-8B forum section...
  6. This, 100%. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. This is also the present day Batumi coast, but I believe our map is based on the build of the area decades ago...
  8. Sounds like a great way to induce motion sickness.
  9. Also confirmed/discussed by Sith here in the top comment:
  10. Yeah, the trackpads really are great IMO. The main reason I want them desk mounted is because it feels much more realistic when flying in VR...i.e. I have to reach forward in front of me to operate anything on the cockpit dash. I look at what I want to interact with (lets say my left MFD) and that initially focuses my cursor roughly in that direction, from there I simply reach forward exactly where my virtual MFD is (left or right, since I have two trackpads in those same positions) and my trackpad is right there...I use my finger to refine the cursor position a bit, and click to operate any OSB button on the MFD. For now, I do the same for Master Arm, Master Mode, etc...in the future, the VKB modules to be added on the the TECS will take care of that for me. I can use either my right or left trackpad to otherate the UFC, depending which is more convenient...granted my hands aren't interacting 1:1 with the virtual positioning like the MFD's, but it's only a small variation. For any right console interaction, I just use my traditional mouse which is on the "L-shape" extension of my desk to my right. For the left, essentially everything I use is bound already to my throttle switches. Outside of hand tracking that will (hopefully) come in the future, this is about as "realistic" as I can practically get it for the time being.
  11. Honestly, I find their launch pricing to be seriously laughable. Gen 2 pricing (or even higher?) for Gen 1.5 hardware. Great strategy (/s) and a surefire way to fall flat on their faces. Hold tight and prices will fall quickly, at least I would imagine so at HTC realizes they need to start chasing profit to break even.
  12. It's very difficult, easily the most challenging part of VR flying that I've found. I personally still haven't found a way to combat it myself. I've died many times to the hands of someone I had the jump on simply because I forced myself to wait until I was inside of visual range where I could clearly visually identify the bogey (i.e. inside of 2 or 3nm)...only to then take a missile to the face from 4nm. Alternatively, I've then reacted to those experiences of getting killed by someone I had dead to rights by jumping the gun and foxing on a plane that I thought was outlaw before I could clearly visually ID...when in reality, there was a friendly merged with him and he took my heater for the ever embarrassing TK (team kill). Wish I could give you a better solution, but for the time being, it's just a limitation you have to deal with as best you can...I'm sure there are pilots much better than myself who could manage to stay "invisible" to the bandits until inside of a couple miles, but it's been hit or miss for me (very average pilot).
  13. After the status above is reported, search Google for the same tracking number. USPS/UPS/FedEx will pick up the tracking from there under the same number, and that is where you see the details I provided above. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Once it arrives and scans at customs it will update, then it updated often after that...clearing customs, outbound from customs, outbound to destination, at local facility, out for delivery. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Yes, since about a month ago. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. So you're trying to use this with your DCS volume blasting in the background on external speakers? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. That's how tracking works. It clears from Russia and you don't see any other updates until it's in possession of US Customs. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. What Nvidia driver are you running, out of curiosity? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. There is a detailed section in the manual that walks step by step how to add in a custom command, IIRC. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  21. Appreciate it, thx bud. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. Hasn't stopped for me with a few hours of flying. Didn't stop for me with a fresh install and then a few more hours of flying. edit: This is all in VR, and I am confident it will get sorted as work continues. Just stating the fact that just because it runs fine for some doesn't mean it runs fine for everyone...and some of those with pretty strong systems.
  23. I would adamantly disagree with the performance issues being largely fixed, my DCS actually runs worse now than pre-update #4. I went as far as doing a complete reinstall and had the same results :(
  24. I get it, but if the real jet doesn't have an audible notification, the DCS simulation shouldn't either. Look at the switch visually to make sure it's up (ON) and has stayed up.
