  1. Install LOMAC 1.0 CD, Install FC CD, intall 1.12b CD patch. Then update SF.
  2. $325 is a good price. I bought mine a few years ago in the States for $350, now though...
  3. Huh, actually users have been asking for it for years now. And the reason for it, isnt dumb. Its just 1 click anyways.
  4. I had an X2 4400+, and thats the upgrade I did. I would do it again too. The CPU and RAM sure is cheaper than when I did it. I got a P5B-E, E6400, and 2GB PC6400 RAM for about $600.
  5. Yeah I know :) I think you may have missed what I was saying. This shimmer problem happens to all nVidia cards, regardless of image quality. So if my 7x series shows improvement, you would think the 8x will also.
  6. I am using the 165.01's. http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=2224538&postcount=9 So far, I have drastically reduced shimmering @ 16AA. I got a 7900GTX, so I would think that the 8800 would be just as good. I got some screenshots, but they are too large for the forum, I will see about resizing without losing the quality. *edit* ah yes, they are in .bmp, easy enough.
  7. Yeah I never had it crash with my 7900GTX in Vista, just the graphics corruption, but the driver fixed that. Ok so you did get DX9, thats good. That driver should work, if not the best performing. You could look for the 165.01 driver, but I am not sure that will help any. I would think to try and make sure all your drivers are up to date, mainboard, sound card, network card. Runtime error... hmm. Maybe reinstall LO?
  8. Yeah I dont understand Pilotasso, you dont loose any RAM by running in Dual channel. There is no benefit of single channel over dual.
  9. If you have a different sound card then Creative or Realtek, still try the ALchemy software, it may work, I dont think its card dependant.
  10. I thought we were all on 1.12a, 1.12b is new I think GG. But the fix list appears similar to 1.12a. 11. Its junk. :music_whistling:
  12. I have actually used it once, and got a kill. But it was only a "Hey I wonder if this will work", kinda thing. I wouldnt expect it to be a repeatable success.
  13. I am not sure the performance of the Hornet at the speed its at, but based on what I see, I would think that Raptor got the advantage after the pic rather quickly. The Hornet would have to roll and follow to gain speed, where the Raptor is already heading down and should have plenty of energy.
  14. It is reasonable to think that similar engineering objectives would have similar solutions.
  15. Immediantly surrounding maybe, but if you are throwing Iran in there, I think you would be underestimating them.
  16. I play it now and then. As far as lighting effects, I believe turning off HDR helps. The AI is bloody smart. Still trying to get the convoy mission done. 1 guy againt a convoy.... pfff.
  17. The problem with printscreen, is it writes to the HDD, which I believe is whats causing the performance hit when done. Its sorta like when you got some corrupt texture file or something that seemed to happen back in 1.0. And you would fire your guns and all of a sudden drop to 1fps, check your error log and see a few hundred lines of error, the problem there was the writing to HDD to frequently. So macro'in the printscreen just exploits that.
  18. Does blinking effect AIM-7 Flood mode ;)
  19. maybe blinking between aircraft, 1 on 1 off, and they alternate.
  20. Yeah, damn near everything has to be run as admin it seems. Especially if it needs to access a USB device.
  21. Yup, back up. I feel so relieved. :pain:
  22. Hyperlobby down for all of you? The website times out too. :crash:
  23. I believe that since the Cougar Joystick base has the connector for the rudder pedals, that it will have the additional 2 axis.
  24. You need to right click on the .exe and choose to run as admin. I dont think giving permissions to the user account will do this. The screen shots are a driver problem. Get the latest beta driver from www.guru3D.com It solved the same issue for me. Also might want to install the latest DX9 software.
  25. Well do what you can, which seems to be a lot. I think even a seperate HOTAS would be awsome too, considering the throttle is different, interesting over/under dual throttle. How ever it works out, let us know so I can make my wife hate my computer even more :D
