  1. you're not looking close enough - put it in combat relative bearing he manuevers, turns further than the gimbal permits -- missile still tracks
  2. i know that but i was the target aircraft so i know the jammer was not active not a factor in this scenario
  3. alright.. i had some time this afternoon i set up a scenario -- AI SU-27 w/ R-27ERs + heaters vs me in my FC3 Eagle you can see here, i let him fox first - i notch, lose the lock (audio and visual RWR indications), turn back hot, acquire and fox - guide to impact in the tacview, you can see the SU turn defensive moving me (ie: his target) off gimbals yet at no point did the R-27ER ever lose guidance - it maintained guidance well after it lost energy to effect an intercept i had to run this setup approx half a dozen times until i found a time when the SARH missile failed to guide - i know that is frustrating to the devs, i know they want a consistently repeatable and reproducible situation but it is what it is and i'm submitting evidence that i believe supports my case ---- please see attached trk, miz and tacview files 11-02_SU-AI_HEAD-ON_35nm_NTM_SARH-ER.miz 11-02_SU-AI_HEAD-ON_35nm_NTM_SARH-ER.trk Tacview-20250919-155353-DCS_11-02_SU-AI_HEAD-ON_35nm_NTM_SARH-ER.zip.acmi
  4. i can confirm SARH missiles are having this problem - i've seen it half a dozen times (or so) unfortunately, it doesn't happen with *every* shot but i've seen AI shoot an R-27, then turn away - target is off gimbals and the SARH missile continues to guide no audible or visual indications on the target a/c's RWR i rarely visit the ED forums anymore but i wanted to check to see if this SARH problem still exists after the recent patch (mid-Sep 2025) devs, any chance you can look into this? and no, i don't have track files or youtubes or tacview files ---- i'm telling you, this exists thank you

  8. tooltips DO NOT APPEAR anywhere else for me - but when i fly a mission from this miz file, tooltips appear i've done a lot of work on this miz file, so i don't want to start over - i suspect at some point along the way a setting was changed but now i can't find out how to undo it original mission is on the caucasus map - no tooltips when i copied-and-pasted the target array into my NTTR miz file, i get tooltips when i fly the viper and the hornet extremely annoying i'll attach both MIZ files demonstrations: DCS - Target Array - Caucasus Map - NO TOOLTIPS DCS - Target Array - NTTR Map - CANNOT TURN OFF TOOLTIPS (VIPER) DCS - Target Array - NTTR Map - CANNOT TURN OFF TOOLTIPS (HORNET) WPNS TRAINER_06_Pop-Up Attacks_VFA-14_Mk82s_Snakes_GBUs_JDAMs_IR-MAVs_L-MAVs.miz NTTR_Open_Training__2025-05-26b_A-G-TGT-ARRAY.miz

  10. yep, that worked -- didn't end up near weisbaden, it was more to the south-east - but that's fine, at least its on the map : )

  12. can't seem to find the bullseye to place it where i want it - from the screenshot attached it seems like its at E20deg LONG - but the map only goes to 15deg E ??

  15. mm... i still see some "weave" in other words, there's a slight (but significant) turn away from the direction of the orbit, then the turn (ie: quick bank to the left, then 180deg turn to the right) i've got the tanker box set to 15x5 Tacview-20250330-105112-DCS-BAZ-Shield-ACT-Salti_2025-03_02a_UNLTD-WPNs_LIM-FUEL_AIR-START_AAR-15x5.zip.acmi

RED AIR has R-27ER and R-27ET - but if both types are onboard, they will only fire the ER seems like they'll carry those heavy ETs all the way to the merge would be much more effective if they would fire both ER and ET from max range would be nice to have that as an option in the mission editor along with the other firing-range options (ie max range, half max range, min range, random) thank you
  17. also.. i notice the AI don't always use the same runway, even if the winds are the same (?!?) shouldn't the AI always take off into the wind - regardless of follow-on waypoints, regardless of which AI starts taxiing first (seems like the first AI chooses the closest RWY and all others follow), etc etc ---- should be no other factors in the choice of the active runway than which direction the wind is blowing or damage thank you for your attention

I'm launching out of Ramat David in Syria map - i've set wind to NW (blowing in SE direction) - AI units taxi to RWY 33 - once taking the runway, the AI units TURN AROUND and attempt to take-off to the SE (ie: RWY 15) - but that is the WRONG DIRECTION also see this video (20s): AI units take off in wrong direction thank you for your attention [ edit --- they don't "always" do this - run the same mission multiple times and it doesn't happen 100% of the time - weird ] BAZ-Shield-03m_OCA-Lebanon-TARCAP_WEAX-WINDS-NW_2025-03-23.miz BAZ-Shield-03m_OCA-Lebanon-TARCAP_WEAX-WINDS-NW_2025-03-23.trk
