  1. i was just surprised and pleased to see that contrails are even a "thing" in DCS yes, they could be better not going to put any requirements on it other than "ED, please make contrails better" -- and let them take it from there so far when they do things, i am mostly very impressed --- they think of things i wouldn't think of, and include features that i would hesitate to request for fear of it being "too little and insignificant" - yet they do it..
  2. also, i think (i seem to remember - ?) the point that the glide slope indicator brings you too is too far down the runway

  4. absolutely concur think about the Instant Action feature of the game - you set up a 1v1 guns fight and......... you have to wait.. wait.. wait...... OK now start! what the heck??
  5. i had real problems reading the HUD at some angles - i turned off HDR in the options and i have no problems now idunno, would that work for you??
  6. ok, that is a serious discrepancy that simply must be addressed that too possibly related (possibly not - ?).. i've noticed that if i am down in the weeds in a mountain range, and i lock up a jamming contact, i'll look in the HUD to get a line-of-sight to the strobing contact.. and the TD box will be in the mountain! in other words, the jamming signal is penetrating through the mountain (or, said another way, the RADAR code doesn't do LOS calculations on jamming signals) i wonder if these issues could be related
  7. how long does it take to re-load SA-10s? if you fire more (or equal) ARM missiles at an SA-10 site as it has in ready-to-launch status, and it fires all its missiles in self-defense at the inbound ARMs...... haven't you therefore effectively "suppressed" that site??

  15. oh.. very interesting idea especially if there's a long-term, real-time, persistent environment........ : ) my concern though.... it "might" be risky to just hand over trust to some RTS 'general' (he has the BIG VIEW - all you know is your small picture of the world and you receive orders for your small unit) but an intriguing concept, granted could perhaps be resolved via a scoring/reputation system - ??

  20. (quoting you, but not singling you out) all these speculations about which model they're going to develop.. i think that will be decided more by what documentation is available and what/how many subject matter experts they bring on board, than anything else does that make sense??
  21. hey hey! whoaaaa there jack! the f-111 was the backbone of usaf interdiction/strike for decades! if there's ever to be an 80s/90s scenario in DCS, then we need AT LEAST an AI F-111
