I have every module except the new Yak, I understand how early access works - thanks. I don't have a problem with slow dev time - I have a problem when the devs are unable to acknowledge problems in the basic concept of how the systems actually work. Early access also implies that it is in active development - no real updates or fixes in 3 months or so at this rate, if I'm wrong - prove me wrong.

Sorted? As in you have sorted my criticism or me out? Sheer arrogance - I provided a list of just the basics that have been skipped over since release, including many module-breaking ones and you have a little phrase that addresses nothing.

Here comes the one word reply crowd. When was the last update of any kind of significance?

I am not normally in this kind of mood where I am extremely critical but today I have reached my limit with this module and have to make a complaint thread. The harrier was released about 9 months ago. The CCIP does not work properly. Auto (CCRP) does not work properly (the ASL does not move correctly and is basically unusable) The APU doesn't work and the rest of the other power/fuel systems are not implemented or at least - not realistically. TGP -not working. Weapon parameter UFC not implemented. Weapon interval and ripple quantity panel not working (!!!!!!!) INS not finished. And plenty more but lets be honest these are the real deal breakers. I am the guy that always defends this module but your in ability to even reply to the very well sourced thread about the CCIP pipper and many other issues. Sorry but can you please sort this module out? At the moment it is sub-flaming cliffs level of simulation and it is meant to be a 'DCS' module. We are your consumers and I feel like some kind of explanation might be due. That's it, I got it all out. edit: inb4 muh early access.

Hi Chromium, I seem to be having the exact same problem with our server that Picchio is having. The temp folder is created but no mission file. The message ‘saving mission’ comes up but no .miz file appears. I have triple checked the permissions on both the C:\ folder and the saved games folder but to no avail. It works absolutely fine on my client PC when mission testing, just not on the server. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Dangerman- keep going, this stuff is gold. My mate has transitioned onto typhoons now but when he was doing this stage of training it was fun chatting about these little techniques. Of course I was and still am hugely jealous of his career choices lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So before they had proper PN, the dcs missiles bled their energy straight off of the rail because they instantly ‘knew’ the intercept angle - instead of gradually adjusting in flight that is? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey, I'm having the same problem. I thought it might be the same problem as you were having above angels 25 BUT I have realised that it always happens above the same piece of land in the Persian Gulf map. See attached logs and image of the suspect area. Thanks guys for all the support so far with this - this bug is a bit of a bummer because we are hosting this amazing public mission but this piece of land is enroute from the carrier group to the AO! Thanks dcs.log.zip

At this rate Patrick Little will be president of the US before we are doing our case 1’s. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Hey - thanks for the info. I recently made a QFE calculator for myself and a few friends to use when planning strike missions but the output always differs from the viggens calculated QFE in the kneeboard. What is the new atmospheric calculation used by ED? If I knew it I could use that instead of the real life formula. Thanks in advance! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ooh good idea, wasn’t there going to be mission designer placeable WW2 airfields? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Damn these time zones! Why can't everyone post times in GMT. Would be useful for me lol (2 miles from Greenwich) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This is still a big issue despite the changes. It does seem better in 2.1 but when I'm running 4K and flying with 1080p pilots, they are spotting things at great distances! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

AI Never Die
CallsignFrosty replied to CaptJackG's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
It's lopsided too, I can lose an engine with a single round through the radiator but the AI are like terminators lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Hi all, Here are two missions (4 and 5) of the Operation Piercing Fury campaign. Definitely my favourite so far and I will be streaming the upcoming missions in the future. Any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks guys :joystick:

Quantum computers will never replace conventional cpus for these kind of tasks. Plus I don't really want to have to have vats of liquid nitrogen in my house to fly on DCS in 2030! Carbon nanotube microprocessors seem like the next step and I assume they would be able to use a similar processor design but the manufacturing material would allow for higher speeds and thermal performance. I have a friend working on those ATM for his PHD, I'll ask him over Christmas what his work may mean for DCS! The only problem is convincing intel to release new tech when there is no serious competition in the marketplace :(. (Cue some AMD users getting triggered haha) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Using the INS for precission bombing Using the PI bombing mode. Find an IP about 15nm from target area, something that you can easily find with your own eyes. I generally use a 'corner building' of a town or a bridge or a split in a river. Program in the grids of the IP then set the offset to the target (use the bearing and range method, its easiest) At about 10nm from target (if on the deck) pull 20-30 degrees nose up, full burn. Release on the cue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Still no luck for me in 1.5.5, asked for clearance and got it. No start up for the wing.
