  1. Great explanation of the difference  I save it to share it to the next person who ask similar question.
  2. Ok thanks, that's what I expected ;) but it indeed needed a clarification. If I may, here is a little guide for those who would like to match their physical detente with virtual detente properly using Joystick Gremlin.
  3. I used two Warthog over a ~6-7 years period, never had an issue. I always connect my controller AFTER the PC is fully booted and ONLY when I want to use them. As far as I remember always on a powered USB 3 HUB. Never had a single issue really. The only maintenance I had/desired to do was greasing the stick and throttle. And changing the friction throttle friction pad. I also tried to mitigate the that unfortunately I had on both of mine. Here is a kind of review I wrote a year ago. PS : Ooh, I changed my friction pad recently and do to so I disconnected the main board. After that one of the axis of the slew control wouldn't work anymore :(. I re-calibrated the throttle using the TM tool and it is fully operational again  Same with the Joystick btw, each time we open it to re-grease or whatever we should re-calibrate it. Below are calibration tool for both throttle and stick. https://www.dropbox.com/s/7ogb522axno2akn/HW_Stick%20Calibration_V1.13.exe?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/ca4sgzfrprayh42/Throttle%20Warthog%20Calibration%20%28V1.07%29.exe?dl=0

  5. Good idea, but why is it also important to adjust the saturation of your throttle in DCS?
  6. The grey friction lever on the right side of the throttle. It is vertical however. Can you use twist axis? If so I invit you to have a look at VKB and Virpil instead of the Warthog Stick. If your budget is tight then I think the VKB Gladiator + Upgrade kit + SCG PRO grip could interest you. Note however, that you won't be able to add an extension on that base later. While you could on the Warthog. But I guess a twist axis is more important to you.
  7. You start with a cold plane? If so you have to get the F18 throttle from off to idle first.
  8. About the Gladiator PRO, yep not much news. I don't think they have obstacle, more that it is pretty low on their priority list.
  9. Thrustmaster TWCS + VKB Gladiator + Upgrade kit + SCG PRO grip. I wish the Gladiator PRO was still available.. It would have fit your budget. https://www.reddit.com/r/hotas/search/?q=recommend&restrict_sr=1 If your browse those posts you'll see that the Gladiator is often recommended together with the TWCS. And if you upgrade it with the SCG PRO grip then you have a grip with similar layout as the A10C. It might not be cost efficient cause you'll end up with the KG12 being useless but.. VKB doesn't propose yet the "Space Gladiator". Edit : Note that they are working on a Gladiator replacement. And also that a PRO version will probably come back soon or later.
  10. I can't provide any help to fix the Logitech/Saitek driver things. However I can assure you you would benefit from using Joystick Gremlin.
  11. Same problem here. And same as you I mostly fly Warbrd so never really bothered. Someone who fly jet asked me if I had idea to fix that problem recently. The best I could think of was to add a slight curve (EXTREMELY small curve) to one of the throttle axis. I did that using joystick Gremlin. Then I adapted the idea to another fix/improvement I do for the Warthog throttle. I can't think of a better solution sadly. I've read similar issue on the Virpil throttle.
  12. We can probably adjust the acceleration and maybe even the jerk in some DCS file but I have no experience in this. I could do what you what want using 3rd app software like Vjoy+Joystick Gremlin for exemple. https://whitemagic.github.io/JoystickGremlin/ I would map Vjoy axes to the wingspan and distance mechanisms. Then I would add "Macro" action to some hat or buttons.. And inside the macro you can add some Vjoy axis event. So you could increase, decrease etc.. Set preset values.. You can of choose how fast it will change by changing the size of each value change (+/- 0.5% for exemple), and also how fast the macro would repeat. Which isn't mandatory.
  13. Of course I understand that, but if your stick recenter perfectly, I want to make sure it isn't thanks to a deadzone set in the VKB software.
  14. Uhm, the deadzone and curve setting I would like to know about are the one you have set in the VKB software, not the one set in the game.
  15. Thanks for your review  To add value to what you said above, you should tell us what are your deadzone and curve setting. I also wonder if you tested that with the extension or not. I also had that notchiness on my MKII + extension + MCG PRO, even with 2x#50 spring, on #10 cam. If they solved that I'm really happy! (I sold my MKII to get MKIII soon, I'm in Europe so have to wait a bit longer). If that is solved, could you try to explain how? Is it the cam? If so how does it help? The force near center is increased? If so does the center detent is more noticeable? (Avia S cam is the one that interest me). Thanks again. Edit : Are you on the Hotas/Hosas/Simpit Discord? If not I invite you to it.
  16. Try to uninstall Windows store. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3925050&postcount=20
  17. In this post I share my opinion/experience on the Warthog Hotas and also quite a few mod.
  18. https://www.saitek.com/manuals/SST_Manual_En.pdf Because you use a Scroll wheel, you can not control how long the input is, the pulsation is very short and so there is no really repetition. To force a longer "hold" we can tick the Macro box. This way the macro will execute fully even if the button have been released. That's how I understand it, can't test I don't have Saitek/Logitech hotas. Edit : I think you can delete everything in the press and release line. It shouldn't change anything, but it would be cleaner, to my eyes at least x)
  19. You have to convert the axis response from absolute to relative. I do not know if the Winwing software provide this functionality yet (I don't have the Winwing Hotas). If not I advise to use Vjoy+Joystick Gremlin. Very easy to setup in Gremlin. (no script).
  20. Uhm, weird, are you sure you are in "Axes Assign", cause otherwise the game is waiting for a button/keyboard input instead of an axis.
  21. Can't you make a "macro" with : Press Num*, Delay 32ms, Release Num* for exemple? And then adjust the delay duration to your liking? If not I already helped someone else to do adjust a virtual axis using that scroll wheel. We did that with Joystick Gremlin. Let me know if you're ok to use another program and I'll take some screenshot to show how to set what you want in Gremlin.
  22. Have you tried to assign the Toe brake axes manually usiing the drop down menu? The automatic recognition might not work.
  23. I though the problem would come from the fact you use keyboard shortcut, but you says it worked before so I don't know.. Anyway I'm pretty sure it would work if you remapped to DX buttons. Target only provide 32 by default but we can edit the Target.tmh file to increase that number to 120 afaik. See this post to learn how to. Note it only work if you use Target Script Editor. If you use Target GUI then I advise you to use Vjoy+Joystick Gremlin instead. It does more, more easily imo, and isn't limited to 32 buttons but 128, per Vjoy, and we can create multiple Vjoy so..
  24. What is the mapping of your speedbrake and trigger button? And which module? I guess you remapped the default key shortcut to the button?
  25. Good luck/speed ! https://forum.virpil.com/index.php?/topic/142-worldwide-webstore-restock-date/
