  1. More specifically, Voice Attack. VAICOM isn’t really required.
  2. Voice Attack
  3. Doesn’t the 3PT mean you landed on all three wheels, rather than 8 degrees nose high?
  4. I must have blinked. :)
  5. In real life? In a real Hornet? That’s not what a retired Navy pilot is teaching me. Don’t you need to make trim changes in concert with power changes?
  6. I would like to know what button he uses for trim. I didn’t see him once touch a bottom on the grip.
  7. I saw 7.4 at one point.
  8. Will DCS ever publish a FLIGHT MANUAL for the Hornet?
  9. Once, when I lived in Chicago, I remember an F-16 pilot with a flame out made a successful approach to a general aviation field near Ohare in real instrument conditions. I’m sure he was thankful for that EPU. Some great piloting, too.
  10. I was practicing carrier landings today. After one landing, the plane started moving backward, from my vantage point in the cockpit. At first, I thought it was being pulled by the arresting cable. In reality, the plane was not moving, but the ship was. I let it go until the plane was hovering over the water, while the ship sailed away. Has this been seen before?
  11. Since I was having trouble getting Bailey's program for the FA-18 to work, I contacted him. He spent about an hour and a half on Discord patiently walking me through to get it set up. That's what I call customer service. The program is fantastic. Thanks Bailey.
  12. Bailey, I downloaded everything, but am having problems following the video. Things happen pretty fast, and the images are small. If things on my end don’t go as in the video, and they haven’t, I’m stuck. So, could you make an instruction sheet with narrative and screen shots, for us slow learners with weak eyes? Or, possibly we could get on TeamViewer at a convenient time? Thanks,
  13. Where is this manual to be found?
  14. If you zoom in on pretty much anything, it will be visible. With everything else to watch during an approach, zooming in is too much, and the HUD figures are in the way. In real life, the ball obviously is easily seen. We are all using a monitor. This is a game, so give us a break and make the iiflos more visible.
  15. I'm no Top Gun or computer expert, but setting up the Warthog for the Hornet is really not a big deal.
  16. For 2.5 years it worked fine. All of a sudden, the stick is dead, after running TM software/firmware. TM has been no help. I think they have made it worse. Anyone have some insight? Thanks,
  17. Then what happened? You now have no way to open DCS?
  18. Of course. I had already done that. But, that gives you a folder icon, rather than a DCS icon.
  19. I have never used anything but the Open Bets version. In trying to attach the dcs.log, I'm told it is an invalid file. ?? Not sure what/where the dcs root is.
  20. So, would it be OK to move or copy the exe file to where I have always seen it in the Open Beta folder?
  21. C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin\DCS.exe I found mine in the above. How/why it is there, I have no clue. That's not where it is in the Updater.
  22. Why would the DCS Updater send the latest version to: "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin\DCS.exe" rather than the Open Beta folder, where the Updater says it should go?
  23. In small planes (Cessna, etc) raising the flaps just before touching down works very well. Especially if the flaps are driven by an electric motor, because they go up slower, and there is almost no pitch change. You're not going very fast, anyway and putting the flaps up keeps the plane on the ground by taking away lift. I use the same technique in another sim with the WWII warbirds.
  24. You might try this:4 of these “L” shaped bars. Take 2, flip one around, screw them together, and repeat. Add a Monstertech Throttle plate and a couple of wood blocks below that plate. Screw it all together.
  25. I got that software/firmware from TM, ran it 2 days ago, and now my throttle is dead. I contacted TM, and waiting for a response. Dam it!
