  1. Per the latest update, ED is adding two more Iranian airfields to the map. The airfields are supported to be pretty far north of the gulf in order to increase the distance between red/blue sides. Addition of the airfields will be after the map launches in EA.
  2. Does this mean you don't know how the aircraft counts down until Pitbull in real J-11A or in the real J-11A the pilot does not know when the missile goes pitbull? If it is the latter, what do the real life pilots do to determine enough time has elapsed before breaking lock?
  3. Lol. That's exactly where my mind went too.
  4. Very much looking forward to your JF-17!
  5. Nineline: just out of curiosity, how many coders/artists are employed by ED? Always wondered the same about the 3rd parties. For some reason I always imagined ED employed around 50 people and 5-10 for the 3rd parties...though I might be way off.
  6. I believe they've said they are fully engaged with the Hornet right now. I'm not expecting updates on the F4 or Mi-24 until after Hornet is in EA.
  7. Contrary to a lot of opinions here, I expect at least a Falcon 4 level dynamic campaign engine. If ED is going to do this, then do it right. Half-measures will just leave a large percentage of the community still yearing for something that another developer may deliver at some point. Do a DC, do it right, and watch DCS retain its followers for the next decade. Half-ass it, and no one is happy. Oh, and sorry MP'ers, but paying for a new DC engine (done right) is more than fair.
  8. Oh, there's plenty of love. Just not a high likelihood of getting a full fidelity module. Higher priorities out there for ED (they can only work one module at a time) and I doubt a 3rd party would pick it up as there would be a limited return on investment.
  9. You're supposed to let the hype-train leave the station before derailing it!
  10. Super Étendard confirmed! :D
  11. I'm on vacation and can't watch the live stream until late next week. Can someone please summarize what questions Wags answered (and the answers) during the live stream? Also, a brief synopsis of the live stream would be appreciated :D. Thanks.
  12. In the latest update from Heatblur, Cobra mentioned that in the next update, he will provide more info on further content planned for the Viggen. Pretty sure he'll address road take-offs in that update.
  13. Didn't the i9 just come out?
  14. This...very much this.
  15. The soon-to-be released F-18 joins the A10C, Harrier, Mirage 2K, F5 and upcoming F14, F4 and F16 as full fidelity western/NATO modules. The "red" side has only the Mig-15, 21 and soon the MIG-19. What are ED's thoughts on this disparity and is there any concerted effort to bring more modern ex-Soviet aircraft to DCS in order to provide a more complete simulation?
  16. I see what you did there...
  17. Many current NATO countries operated the MIG-23 and MIG 29 in several variants. There are de-militarized MIG-29's in civil ownership. The data is out there. Legal issues with the Russian government (and ED being based in Russia) seems more likely.
  18. Thanks Cubanace.
  19. Anyone know what's up with the JF-17 or Deka Ironworks? They used to be really active of FB but nothing new out of them since JAN 4th. Is the JF-17 still on track?
  20. DCS really needs a dynamic campaign and some more full-fidelity Soviet aircraft (MIG-23/27/29, SU-17/27) in order to properly flesh it out.
  21. Still only 1643 Pacific Standard Time. :P
  22. It's not April 1st yet...
  23. Is only 0915 PST. I've got all day for a March update :D
  24. 9am on Easter Sunday? Looks like I'll be watching when it's uploaded to YouTube.
