  1. There is nothing wrong about that value. It's called installed thrust. Engines lose a bit of thrust when they are installed on the airframe. I explain a bit this behavior here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3404789&postcount=46
  2. IMHO this is the best way to identify an A-10. Whether it's a Charlie model or an Alpha. You could say the Missile Warning System (MWS) on the wingtip and tail, but there were A-10Cs without them too. But in case you see them, that's an A-10C for sure. An A-10 carrying a TGP doesn't mean it's a Charlie model either, there were A-10As+ carrying the LITENING Pod on the Station 3 and 9. The Pave Penny was removed around the time when they were introducing the Suite 7.
  3. I feel embarrassed for creating this thread nowadays. Lol
  4. Very cool! You can see how the LEX surface area is much greater, as well as the intake, which provides a higher airflow to the engines.
  5. Why would I? :)
  6. But it doesn't change the fact that RAZBAM releases their modules and almost forget them after a while. Then they move onto the next. Very active and good communication during the development, and then it goes silent once the module is released.
  7. Where did you get these images from? I'd love to get my hands on it. Is it publicly available?
  8. While GE engines don't have stages :) Thanks for sharing!
  9. ROFLMAO! Never thought about that!
  10. The Jet Engine thread Looks like they found a crack in the engine's fan blade. Due to centrifugal forces and fatigue, this crack probably developed into a bigger crack and the fan blade ended up flying towards the fuselage, breaking a window and killing a woman. This is very serious. As mvsgas pointed out, the Southwest had a similar issue in 2016, so I wonder if that happened due to poor maintenance. 11. I laughed out pretty loud! holy crap that's so funny! (Tripod) Nice work Greg!
  12. Hornet can pull a lot of AoA as you all know. It will probably get the first shot. But it bleeds quite a lot of energy, on the other hand, the Flanker can maintain its energy pretty well. So perhaps, if you try to fight the Flanker based on turning, you'll end up dead just like the Eagle. A few weeks ago I was talking to a U.S Navy pilot and he was telling me a story where the Viper was almost getting the Hornet's six, but they called the Viper dead because of the JHMCS + 9X combo! So be careful when dogfighting a Hornet. It just can't run though, it's not as fast as the Flanker and Eagle.
  13. Just imagine taking a boat to the island, then walking down the island and getting into the Hornet pit. fire it up and take off! One can dream... :P They look great!
  14. My eyes seem to be sweating.
  15. You can't just say this or that is wrong. There must be a strong argument based on real-life evidence and documents. Not just a pilot or videos from youtube. ED isn't going to change anything because someone said it was wrong. It's not that simple. And a few months ago, the A-10C got around 10% more thrust. I confirmed it with many, many people, people who fly the Hawg occasionally and even my buddies from 476th vFG. Plus the fact that this is an old post...
  16. Excuse me Nicholas, Any update on the lack of details in the jet pipe?
  17. Hey guys, did ED remove the resonance sound of the Flanker when the engine is about to reach IDLE RPM? Resonance sound hapens at 56-60% and the IDLE stablizes at 71% ish. Here's an example. Please go to 1:15 I'm no longer hearing this anymore. I spoke to a friend of mine who flies the Flankers as well and he confirmed it.
  18. I am very excited and looking forward to the Persian Gulf map. Simply because it is what NTTR and Normandy aren't. A map which was and is a base for many real-life conflicts (Modern jets, obviously). Not just a map for training, not just a map for a specific range of aircraft. I'm sure it will be great, and I can't wait to fly all the modules over that map (especially Hawg, Tomcat, Flanker and Hornet). There are thousands of options on this map. I don't fly on Normandy or NTTR either, but that's because those maps aren't for me. Since I can only speak for myself, I'll certainly enjoy the Persian Gulf a lot! I hope you do too. Because it's different from both available maps that we have right now.
  19. Very short, but beautiful trailer! Holy crap. Very well done!
  20. The sensor placement on the Hawg was quite simple. Wingtips and tail.
  21. That looks dope!
