  1. Absolutely Phenomenal! But, what sizes are the T-shirts? I mean, In cm. Because the standard S-L stuff can vary by quite a lot.
  2. Ooooh yes, my little Viggen is wagging its tail!
  3. Whoa! Are those GBU-32s? That's an 'ole lot of hurt on that thing.

    Aircraft 3-views?

Soooo, I haven't been able to find any useful drawing for those, and I doubt my capabilities in making those myself. Does anyone have acces to blueprints for 3D modelling for those? (i.e. the kind that ED likely used when making the models for the game)

    Aircraft 3-views?

Thank you! That's an awesome resource! Now I only need to find a drawing of the HTS, one of the ALQ-131 and maybe a Sniper-XR.
  6. Hi everyone! I was wondering where I could find detailed, high-res 3-view drawings of aircraft (as in, having the rivets and panels drawn, no cross sections or the like). I was thinking of making myself a T-shirt with the underside silhouette of an armed F-16 (those I can add myself to the pic; gotta love GIMP) with some text scribbled on it.
  7. No laser Maverick in our version. There are versions of the F-16 that can fire the L-Mav, but those come with more features that we'll likely never see (such as the Amraam-D), so, in order to stay true to our plane version, no laser Maverick.
  8. The more you look the worse it gets. Warplane edition.
  9. I think it's just a simple generic sound meaning "Powered on". My digital camera makes the same sound.
  10. I guess this is mostly down to the fact that there haven't been too many high-intensity conflicts in the past 30 years, so noone would actually need to dump the tanks.
  11. Heard there are some underground structures, too. Apparently 9, of which 5 have allegedly been found (?). Never saw a map of them. Is there any way to noclip through the ground or something? Other than using the tunnels. Do you remember where that was?
  12. You're gonna like the F-18 then. Unlike the camera on the Toad, the TGPs on the Hornet have much wider fields of view. So you can have the target area on your 3 or 9 o' clock and have all the time in the world to scan it. Not to mention FLIR and the ability to make your TGP look at the waypoints you placed on the map, making it that much easier to look for targets.
  13. Well, the built in Su-25T campaign is ridiculously hard. I wouldn't really recommend that to a beginner. The single missions are alright, though. The "Long Day" mission is particularly nice, imo. Try to learn the area where you're shooting stuff. Look for landmarks. Cities. Buildings. Bridges. Roads. Forests. Use the Mission Planner (or the F10 map) to find where everything is. Usually, you will find just enough information to not ruin the experience. Try to make a mental picture of where everything is and where you can find your targets around the landmarks. Sounds harder than it actually is. "I know that South of this settlement is an armored column, so if I follow this road..." If you like the F-18, go for it! I mean, trial it first. If you like the aircraft, you'll enjoy learning to properly employ it Happy hunting!
  14. This is an amazing resource!
  15. It still is kind of weird, as both those weapons have simple photocontrast sensors which, in real life, should track the spot in the image that's darker/brighter than the background that I locked, regardless if it's moving or not. I mean, the Kh-29T magically drops the PR indication once the target is moving. I don't know how that would even be achieved in real life.
  16. I found that the optical sensors on those two weapons will either fail to track moving objects or refuse to fire altogether. Tracks attached. The Kh-29T can engage static targets (AC shown on screen) or arbitrary spots on the map (KC shown). In both those situations, we get "PR" on the HUD and Shkval. But, as soon as the target is moving, the "PR" indication disappears. (demonstrated in the track by alternatively locking the moving target and the ground next to it). The only way to shoot the missile then is by using launch override. And then the missile will target the area where the target was when I pulled the trigger. The KAB-500Kr can be dropped when locking a moving target, but it too will hit the place where the target was when I pulled the trigger. This is a pretty jarring bug, as the seeker is supposed to track the blob on the image that I told it to, and not act like a JDAM. Kh-29T_tracker.trk KAB-500Kr_tracker.trk
  17. Yeah, apparently only the Type 052B and Type 071.
  18. What? How?
  19. It's the single best fighter jet as of today. But there's relatively few of them, they're expensive and there are even better things coming, all while its job can be done by other aircraft, too (but with a bit worse performance). For now, they're retiring some ~36 beat up airframes that were not upgraded to the latest version and are currently used for training.
  20. We can say that about practically every defence company, though.
  21. SIGINT. One of those bad boys flying around listening to signals and correlating them to actual events Or one of those, recording every little signal until its untimely demise, for example:
  22. Well... The F-16 did fare a lot better on the export market.
