  1. I didn't like 3 screens... DCS warped too much and trying to get rid of that warp.. ehhh. I ended up going with an ultrawide monitor.
  2. You can try and get the SAMs to fire at you, then drive them into the ground or take cover behind something (mountains, buildings, etc).. and keep doing this until they stop firing at you. It's risky but you don't have the proper tools to deal with them any other way.
  3. From what I was told by Jello... it changed. Now if that was an official change or the RWR is programmable so the pilot can change it how he wants, I don't know.
  4. I don't think anyone is questioning that, ED told us as much. But now we know (this is the first I have seen anyway) that it did in fact change... perhaps multiple times. All I have seen so far is, "my guy said it is this way", "no! my guy said it's that way!".
  5. I posted this on hoggit but this may help folks here too (ED included). I asked Jello from the Fighter Pilot Podcast about the RWR, specifically if higher threats are on the outside or inside, and apparently... it changed a few times. So, either way could really be the correct way, no wonder there has been so much confusion.
  6. Windows 10 knows the difference between HDD and SSD... it used to be that you wanted to make sure Windows didn't try and defrag an SSD, but with Windows 10 that isn't a worry anymore.
  7. I haven't flow my poor hog since the Harrier came out.... it's just nice not being slow. The F/A-18 will eventually be my main module but right now it's pretty limited.
  8. Yea, I went ahead and got myself a T1600 throttle as a holdover until the VKB throttle.
  9. Problem is the internal wiring, they are very hit and miss with questionable durability.
  10. http://www.filedropper.com/dcslog-20180609-111432 Happened during case 1 recovery practice. Thanks as always!
  11. Hey... he was still in safe mode when he dropped! :megalol:
  12. Another hotfix may happen today per wags... but it isn't 100%.
  13. Ah, as usual thank you bignewy. Appreciate all you guys are doing. :)
  14. Ok, crash file was too big to attach, so here is the link: http://www.filedropper.com/dcslog-20180608-115956
  15. having trouble uploading the crash file... standby...
  16. Flying back from dropping a bunch of snakeyes on a target in the through the inferno server.
  17. That's what I figure... more maps will come out and more modules... so I might as well get the extra room now.
  18. Whelp, my 250 GB dedicated DCS drive is about full... time for a 1 TB dedicated DCS drive. :D
  19. It's funny how some people find some airframes easy and some really hard. For me I think the Harrier is the easiest of all the aircraft to Air refuel... maybe it's because the basket is out of sight so you don't end up focusing on it by mistake. The mirage I absolutely HATE trying to refuel in due to the lack of nose down pitch... it drove me mad. The F18 I find to be of average difficulty... it's harder to stay connected due to the engine lag, but connecting isn't too bad.
  20. Just want to thank you guys for this server... I had one of my most memorable moments in DCS last week.... Me and my two buddies were flying around in the F-18C kind of unsure of what we were doing before heading to a random mission when a guy in a helicopter contacted one of my wingmen and asked if we could support him in taking an objective. We obliged the random helicopter pilot's request and were rewarded with the first truly dynamic CAS mission in DCS multiplayer that I can remember. He dropped troops and called that he was taking fire from the city, we confirmed and started rolling in one after the other dropping bombs, firing guns and rockets in an effort to support the troops on the ground until we were winchester. I am unsure if we were 100% successful (there was still some sporadic fire), but damn was it fun! I think this is the first time it wasn't just attacking static ground targets where you always know where they are...
  21. I'm sorry but, I am not sure you understand what early access means.
  22. I think it is absolutely worth it, I think this may be the first map we see a shift in multiplayer servers toward (might end up even with the black sea map).
  23. Settings all the same in game as well as the AMD control center?
  24. Go to your zoom axis settings and tune the Axis. Make sure slider is checked then set your Saturation X to your preference, I set it to like 85. Then when you mess with your zoom for the first time it will move your head back a bit.
  25. I overclock my 1080TI and have no issues with DCS nor any other game. What I suggest you do is read up on how to properly overclock your videocard. Games do not care what clock speed your videocard is running at, games don't care if you are or are not overclocked. If you are crashing in DCS when overclocked then your overclock isn't stable and you need to either allow more voltage (up to 120% for Pascal) or dial back either your GPU or MEM clock offset. I am sorry to say but you have no idea what you are talking about to the point of almost sounding crazy, I don't say this to be insulting....
