  1. How I understand it is you can either turn it up to 1.5 in steam VR settings OR in game but you don't want to do both.
  2. Per a facebook post ED is getting away from Starforce protection and creating their own: https://www.facebook.com/eagle.dynamics/posts/10159721195000341 "We recognize that the current copy protection is far from ideal. As such, we are currently developing our own protection system that we believe will be much more customer-friendly."
  3. That's what got me excited... reworked FLIR is so important to the simulator as a whole (well, the aircraft that use it at least).
  4. Might be worth adding from here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3302766&postcount=17 "Upon wrapping up the APG-73, we’ll move on to the ATFLIR, and at that time, develop a new and improved FLIR technology to provide the best and most realistic simulation of such a sensor." Sounds like the FLIR system is getting a complete and much needed rework.
  5. I don't remember seeing them saying the MCG-TM could be made into an MCG-Pro... the limit as far as I understand it is the amount of buttons that the warthog base can handle.
  6. Odd, Corsair power supplies are generally top notch. They are manufactured by Seasonic and Channel Well. I have had a Corsair PS for... jeeze... years now without issue.
  7. I went with VKB. I am done with the Thrustmasters and Logitechs out there... I have an X-55 and don't like the quality. Even the warthog had the dodgy gimbal. I am looking forward to the MCG pro stick to retire my X55 stick... now I just need to be patient and wait for the VKB throttle.
  8. I did the same thing, I was convinced it was dead. Never doubt Andre. :D
  9. Did you try running a repair in DCS? One of the guys I fly with has this issue every now and then.
  10. As a Pimax backer... I actually HOPE it gets delayed. It seems like they gave themselves a really short window and might have to rush to meet a deadline... i'd rather wait and get a better product.
  11. I like early access in general, for DCS modules it's fantastic as you get to learn as the aircraft gets developed and there really isn't a burn out factor. It's a bit different for regular video games as you can burn out before the game is even done.
  12. I think you need to "pick your fights" so to speak.... it isn't really important when they release so I wouldn't worry about it or even mention it.
  13. I think we all need to take a few steps back and stop arguing sexism, etc. Basically it comes down to this, there is no reason NOT to have the choice (aside from dev time and priority). Hopefully this is something that is added in the future, not only female voices but female pilot models.
  14. What works for one person doesn't work for another. I find that only having access to a few things at once helps me master those systems before moving on to others, so it doesn't bother me that they aren't available. Along those same lines Early Access isn't for everyone. I have no problem with it most of the time, I play a bit of the game to see what it's like, then don't touch it until a patch, or until it is finished.
  15. I would like to be part of a squadron (along with the two guys I fly with). Problem is we fly at odd hours (midnight until 3 or so AM ET on Sat and Sun night) since I work night shift, one guy is in Japan and the other is west coast USA. What time do you guys usually fly?
  16. That's why I actually prefer to start a module during EA. It really lets you learn systems as they come online and it helps not to get overwhelmed.
  17. Hmmmm, I will see if that's the case when I mount my stick. Yea, drilling holes wouldn't be a big deal if I get that wobbling.
  18. I actually use 3M locking tape instead of bothering to drill holes. The stuff is amazing. They hold my rudder pedals, I am sure they will have no trouble holding my stick to my stand.
  19. After seeing the lack of quality with my X55 stick.... delay as long as you need VKB. :D
  20. For your first reason, if you have a vive already you can use those base stations and controllers. If you don't have a vive then you need the entire setup (base stations, controllers). For the second reason, you have to be careful about the types of games you play and the FPS you are getting on those games... there is also the issue of building up your "VR legs". I get motion sick VERY easily in cars, but have yet to get sick in VR because I am really careful and build up a tolerance. You can also take ginger pills to help. Just thought I would chime in. :)
  21. Yea, I might just hold on to my pledge now. :)
  22. yep, superglue here as well. I just let it dry first so it isn't conductive.
