IMO, Don't go reference unless you plan to watercool or are building in a really small case. The aftermarket cards run way cooler, quieter and... well very slightly faster, but the other things make them worth it.

Agreed. Before I *cough*attempted to repair*cough* my x55 I was annoyed by the same thing. Only way to use it as you suggest is through the software. I have temporarily moved to the Thrustmaster 1600 throttle with my X55 stick (soon to be replaced by the VKB MCG pro and VKB throttle once it comes out).

I don't think slewing axis binds (for that specifically) work yet so you have to bind them to keybinds temporarily.

The software will probably take a little bit of reading the manual (I have only skimmed over it), it's got a ton of freaking options most of which I have no idea what they do. I assume it's pretty powerful.

Changing them out is really easy so you should be able to manage. I have done it a few times.

I know that, that's why I specifically said in regards to key bindings. The last time I asked they said it is in the plans, but now with the MCG coming out I haven't seen any more mention of it until I asked.

I remember mention of the joysticks eventually being plug and play with regards to bindings when I asked about the official DCS sticker on the box. Is that still in the plans?

I mean... we are sorta arguing trivial things here... "in the coming weeks" and "before whatever months" is basically the same thing. I have seen some people misquote it as "in a few weeks" which isn't what he said. This is why we don't get dates from ED anymore, people taking everything as promises.

AeroGator, don't take me the wrong way here... there is a reason I am willing to wait instead of going with someone that can ship now, I believe VKB's product to be superior, and due to that am even willing to wait until you (nobody else) release your throttle. Even with the delays (I am a DCS customer, I know ALL about delays :megalol:) I am more than willing to wait. But the communication is still confusing. I was (perhaps mistakenly) under the impression that all the product had arrived at the VKB HQ to hand over to shippers, the line used on the official forum was, "Fellow Pilots, 15 Dec has come, and here they are." ... so I assumed that meant all product was in house and ready to start packaging and shipping. Hopefully you can understand why there is confusion. The prior communication about preorders was that on the 15th of this month we would be charged, I figured that meant (again, maybe my own fault?) that shipping would start probably next week... but then we get this update that Jan 2nd is the preorder charge and shipping week. So, to me that is another delay and the source of my disappointment. Again, not anger, just disappointment. Don't take it personally, I am not canceling or angry... Do not feel disheartend over this, you have no reason to!

The message I got in email suggests mine isn't shipping until Jan 2nd. But you say they are going to shipping agents on Monday? It's a bit confusing...

No Man's sky has nothing to do with this. DCS is a released product right? For a released product you cannot release early access DLC in steam. Might I add that you need to learn how to talk to people. You come off as insulting and rude. Just a suggestion. :)

Do yourselves a favor, move to the standalone and launch through steam as a non-steam app.

I love the X55 layout... just hate the lack of quality.

I went with VKB but until they sort out their product line and shipping you could end up waiting a bit to get your item. Honestly... you can't go wrong with either one. They are both fantastic products.

It will be all merged together into 2.5. Everyone will get the new caucasus map for free.

Everyone needs to step back and freaking chill. An acrobatic plane (which DOES have an audience when it comes to virtual air shows) is not going to ruin your beloved combat sim. I will admit the hype was a tad silly and they set themselves up... but the backlash is unwarranted.

While it isn't an aircraft I am interested in... it does have an audience. Virtual airshows are a thing in DCS and a group of people flying in these would be pretty cool. It isn't like this aircraft took as long as some of the more complicated modules to make (at least I wouldn't think so).... so I don't see the big deal.
