  1. I have a word but it's kind of taboo here... :)
  2. Oh my! Where do I start? Let's see.. First, you must learn to turn coordinated, then you must teach yourself to be gentle with the stick, she doesn't like it rough and do NOT lose speed or you'd be dead soon. You cannot outturn the P51D in a horizontal turn, so what's left? Exactly.. use the vertical, just as you said, better climber. But remember that the P51 is a better diver (just a bit). You need a lot of hours to master the Dora. Remember that tactics is what makes you win a fight.. always. She's the best energy fighter that DCS has to offer, so use it to your advantage. AI will not make you better, as you'll develop bad habits. Go directly online and you'll quickly learn, probably de hard way, as we all did. See you in the skies! P.S. I personally love Dora.
  3. Hello, Can you check Dora pilot hit box? It seems that is kind of big, it might be related to the bug when you can stick your head out of the windows when looking behind. I get too many pilot kills especially from dead astern. Much appreciate! L.E. Apparently pilots say the Anton suffers the same problem.
  4. You're absolutely right. Maintaining the energy hence flying coordinated all the time that's what the art of flying and 'dogfighting' it's all about. Knowing your opponent weaknesses and using your advantages against your opponent is what makes you successful in a fight. I may say that any mediocre pilot can pull the stick ergo put the velocity vector on the opponent and hope that his/her plane turns better is a weak tactics. But doing a rope'a'dope to force the enemy in a climb, losing his energy while doing so and become a certain victim it takes a lot of skills to properly do it. And that's just a small example of 'energy fighting'.
  5. That's really puzzling..
  6. OpenBeta or Stable?
  7. How many Gs did you pull? I noticed that ~6G the guns jam. All of them at the same time, which is weird at least. I made a small vid showing this.
  8. Just try to pull the stick while firing and see what happens..
  9. Dude, do you even fly any of the axis planes? Dora guns ARE jamming..
  10. Good point.
  11. My impression is that the allied planes have been beefed up lately to keep up with the late models axis planes. I racked up a pretty large numbers of both hours and kills on MP, Burning Skies and recently LFDM servers, so I know what I'm talking about. Sent from my Redmi 5 using Tapatalk
  12. About 2 weeks in ED's time.. :)
  13. I'm biased towards truth and common sense.. heavily biased as a matter of fact. Thanks. Sent from my Redmi 5 using Tapatalk
  14. 250-300km/h IAS is not a high speed.. Sent from my Redmi 5 using Tapatalk
  15. Just listen to the interview.. It was the only comment about the axis planes. Sent from my Redmi 5 using Tapatalk
  16. Because nobody gives a rats ass about german planes, as depicted by Nick Grey himself in the last interview. Sent from my Redmi 5 using Tapatalk
  17. Having "success" online that does NOT count as being well modelled.. You can be successful in a motodelta and a handgun.
  18. Yeah.. too bad. At least I had a good laugh, the comparison killed it, so thank you!
  19. Short story: I've took off from Carpiquet with 55% fuel or so, I've arrived at Lignerolle and engaged a P51, during a climb maneuver I lost the engine. It happened a few more times before but I cannot pinpoint the exact cause, as I always verify the temps. The common factor was defueling to ~60% and always happened when I maneuvered the plane, that is when I boom and zoom. So probably a dry run of some sort..
  20. Nope.. After 5 minutes in air and I only engage it when climbing, mostly..
  21. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1878294&postcount=26 Quote: "The system was sensitive not only to the fluid pressure but also to the pressure of propellant air after emptying the tank. On the one hand it required constant pilot’s attention to avoid "dry running" at emergency power boost that could ruin the engine, and on the other, it possibly could be a reason to implement reduced "dry" boost rate (1900 hp) that was considered safe." I think my engine quit when the rear tank emptied and it switched to the fwd tank during climbing and maneuvering. Can you verify this?
  22. Unfortunately, there IS an issue with the Dora's engine. It does lose performance and seizes afterwards in a steep climbing turn, even if it's in Continuous power setting of 3000rpm. That's definitely new behavior. And I agree with Snapage here that the Dora can be easily caught up by the Spitfire even after a steep dive. Sent from my Redmi 5 using Tapatalk
  23. I'm afraid we don't have computers for all that.. Sent from my Redmi 5 using Tapatalk
  24. Indeed. The K4 was used mainly to destroy bombers that flew @ 6-7000m, hence the 30mm cannon. Without the MW50 is just artificially handicapped so it can be easily caught up by P51 or Spits, having nothing to do with reality. Sent from my Redmi 5 using Tapatalk
  25. No. People need proper missions with proper assets so they can properly use their planes, for the purpose they were intended when they were built. Flying the Dora at low level or the Pony with very low fuel so it can be more maneuverable are not falling in the 'properly used' category. Sent from my Redmi 5 using Tapatalk
