  1. The rudder when operated from buttons does come back to trimmed position when button release. Not alike MS's Flight Simulator series.
  2. Charly_Owl, you are awesome! Great!
  3. good catch! I didn't knew that or I don't remember from tutorials. Now you got two indications for friendly or enemy.
  4. I did a simple test with the editor to check the HDD while WVR lock with vertical scan and centered. Circle for friendlies and triangle for enemies. The same as BVR on the HDD. This is a friendly SU-27 being shown as a circle with a line to illustrate direction This is an enemy F-15E being shown as a triangle with a line to illustrate direction I hope this helped. :smilewink:
  5. Edit: didn't check correctly your question. My sincere appologies. If you lock onto a enemy using vertical scanning mode or other method you might able to check target simbology on the HDD (Heads Down Display). I might check that! I don't usually fly the 27 but it is a very interesting scenario. Good Flying
  6. DCS modules have a high standard quality. Technical inputs from real life references are similar to PMDG boeing aircrafts from what's been told to the public. DCS MiG 21, for instance, relied on constant input and insight from a real life MiG 21 pilot. I had my small share on PMDG aircraft experience and it really compares to a DCS standard and vice versa. They may be on the same level. FMCs modeled by PMDG I remmember being pretty thick and full fidelity, it was the most remarkable feature from that product and can be compared to the immense depth feature as the DCS A-10C electronics. You can not expect a fighter jet or attack jet to have so many buttons or switches as a commercial passenger jet (stating the obvious), but as fidelity, both are among the top really close. As physics or flight model are taken into consideration, DCS have higher definition. Expect way better fps on DCS world also. I hope I've helped. Good luck and be very welcome! : ) Good Flying
  7. Amazing Brisafresca! I would've looked after this chart forever. Thank you for the data. Nice. I had no idea. For a swept wing jet fighter from the 50s I was surprised on how it handled no engine flight. Nice to learn these stuff with the sim when it's correct to reality. That's a money worth flight I had. :smilewink: Interesting! I am a lot more conscientious about what happened and less skeptical. I had little to no knowledge about Sabre performance other than some gameplay on MiG Alley sim title back in the days. I did not climb that much, but with these data on the side supporting such performance I can see it now. These kind of things, at least for me, gets my money worth out of the module purchase. Good stuff! Thank you all for these awesome replies! Good flying you all.
  8. Have you deleted DCS installation folder prior to re install? Some mod files survive from uninstall and repair.
  9. Here's what my bazar/effects folder looks like. And the other is where a damage folder is located inside sounds folder. No fire.cfg file inside my damage folders. Only sound type files.
  10. That's a negative on my end too. I do not have this damage folder on my DCS open beta instalation (in this path). I've never had this error, though. Any mods may be the cause? EDIT: Just tested my open beta installation. I do not have this error.
  11. It was really strange. Maybe has something to do with drag at low speeds. The fighter felt like it wouldn't slow down. At 140 kts I noticed little to no deceleration. It was very weird this performance when in control. Maybe something to get used to (positively) or looked into a latter date. In hope to be the first. I've always thought about the F-86f as not a good glider at all. lol Thank you Good Flying
  12. ok I made it upload. Tacview track Tacview-20150111-210712-DCS.rar
  13. [This post is entirely directed towards clarification about the real aircraft performance versus simulated in this module out of curiosity. I do have the knowledge it's beta and I'm aware on future improvement.] While completing the first mission on missions section of the Sabre aircraft in DCS I got home with no fuel nor power. I ran out of fuel at 275ft, 12.9nm from home airbase at it's heading and my engine shut down. Start of RPM's decline moment speed [549.9 TAS] [534.4 IAS]; data recorded by tacview. I pulled up a little immediately after noticing loss of RPM just as my experience in sims taught me. The thing is: I made it home. Is this possible? :noexpression: Tracks and screens attached. (somehow i'm unable to upload the tacview .acmi track on this post. I will see if able to do it later) no fuel SABRE.trk
  14. I'm glad to help. That might be the case with the keys you purchase directly from the website with few exceptions. I remember this occurring to me too with the Mi-8 and Huey modules purchased from the website. I don't know why. Good Flying on the unsteamed!
  15. Login on Digital Combat Simulator website http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/ Then you'll see, on your left side of the screen, the section: Personal Section. Click on it, then go to Licensing. Place your module key on the blank space and hit "Request Information". You'll be greeted by a lot of information about the Key you just typed and on the top it will be a option to bind the key to the following account name. BIND TO EXACTLY THE NAME OF YOUR LOGIN/ACCOUNT ON THE DCS WEBSITE, NOT THE FORUMS ONE. That account name and password you can log in on the Module Manager on the game and install your modules. I've done it with all my steam purchased keys so far, without problems. Good Luck!
  16. I think that's a beautiful dream and I also have it. :D IMO, FC3 level aircrafts serve a purpose to ED and DCS World that any other "full fidelity" would be able to. While this entry level purpose to newcomers are needed, we might not see the 10A in that format. That's what I think and I've noticed but I can be completely wrong. You can always load the C without the TGP and ignore other little things to get more close and personal to enemy ground forces. :D
  17. A more accurate representation is this very mod: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=100333 I don't remember if there's a way to use it on huey. It should be a must have if so.
  18. I too hope. It's going to be great to rely on a new engine as it doesn't mean that some of the DCS world we can experience is not short of baffling amazing. Thank you Witchking :)
  19. Since long ago I played LOMAC, FC2 then the A-10C module came out, it was the most sensational feeling of not believing a home computer could display such fidelity in geometry and atmosphere of being inside a real aircraft. DCS became world and continued to grow with modules without any let downs in relation to immersion. Every module release is a new world to discover as a man who dreamed of being a pilot since kid and never actually flew. Since official module announcement I've been anxious about the MiG release. Really counting the days. I knew it would suck against 4th gen jets, but who gives a ****. The machine just get the player to it's limits and each flight is a insane adventure. I loved it. I've made so many screenies over the past few days and I edited some in photoshop. (way too excited about 2.0 lighting effects) also my first f-15c kill is there, yay!
  20. Proper order is: Download and Install DCS World > Download modules via Module Manager OR Install modules if you have their last version executable on your computer via DCS website ORInstall module from a CD. If you did a new OS installation or changed certain hardware you'll need to activate all modules losing one of those activations left, if you did'nt deactivate them before reinstalling again. Good luck
  21. Nice! Great job! Did you uploaded to DCS download section site or Lock On Files? I'd download that.... :smilewink: I'm too making my first steps on making liveries XD . Good luck!
  22. The 86F I was incredibly surprised about the Sabre module yesterday. I didn't know how beautiful it is to fly the F-86F, how really pleasant. Belsimtek, you guys rock! Taking too much time in the mission because THAT much fun. Ran out of fuel and lost hydraulics. The only road straight enough to land the plane was just where my targets were. Going in. Marvelous Module!
  23. @Barthek Wow, those textures are amazing!!!
  24. Is this the sound? @ 0:55
