Zeus, F-5 (and the rest of belsimtek) is very good example how to handle switches and rotaries/position knobs, in addition include like in the m2000 (on else off) And it should be good. I thought after those years this should be already cleared and standartized. Honestly I find razbam controls setting complete mess m2000 and now harrier (regardless of on else off which is a good idea) m2000 misses any rottaries and now the harrier even the simple toggles are messed. I am not a cockpit builder but I have warthog hotas and 2 button boxes with rottaries and positional knobs to handle mostly radios and other important controls. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk

Yes the hotas as well. +1 Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk

Still no rotaries for radio frequencies and channel selectors!!! This is a shame! I was thinking to return to this module after a pause because of some bugs but it looks like it is just another prove that 3rd parties are not in the same league as ED/Belsimtek. I was considering to buy the harrier just to test it and support but I will reconsider this for now..

Spring Tension Formation Flying
metzger replied to zerocoolant's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
Many helicopter missions are ruined cause of this AI behavior. I can't understand why mission designers are keep doing missions to fly with an AI lead, it is frustrating, not fun at all and a must fix for ED! Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk -
Lol haha are they really so sensitive :D Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk

I am an example of a person who started flying DCS because of VR. I was doing only racing sims and civil flight and didn't like dcs with trackir it was way too unnatural to watch the screen in front of me while trying to move my head left/right, never got used to it. Oculus DK2 made a big change and since then I do only DCS and nothing else owning almost all modules. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk

In my opinion this is not going to work well. 3 days is ridiculous if this is a good idea at all, it should be no less than a month.

Great news! Looking forward. :) Thank you ED!

Easy one :) keep bandits out of your six or have a wingman/lead to cover you :) Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk

Hmm then a question comes to mind why we don't see sde on the old low res screens ? I remember having 640x480 monitor but never noticed such effect. Also I have an old low quality Chinese 22 monitor with 1280x1024 also never noticed such effect. I understand we look trough a lenses at close distance but of it was so related to the lower res shouldn't we notice it on the lower res screen as well ? Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk

Thanks for the review. Is the sde still there ? As I was expecting that honestly as I don't see how the distance between the pixels will disappear just with more pixels.. It's unfortunate that after 2 years of oculus there is still nothing really better that worth buying... Hopefully after the holidays oculus and vive will announce their next gen as it is hard to believe that after the time and [emoji383] they invested they don't have something significantly improved to hit the market. This is already there for me, but still in options -> preferences I am still seeing my old path D:/...... and not my new F:/...... no matter I have changed it and clicked save . I did change the DCS path in the registry as well. Saved games is fine and I can do custom kneeboards but I can't modify the position and size of the kneeboard. Also the new version 7.0 crashes on startup for me while 1.6.9.8 works fine. Win 10 x64.

Try turning off the shadows and see if buildings will still kill the FPS. More buildings = more shadows = less fps Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk

Shadows are the single most FPS affecting think in dcs. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk

Everything is affecting FPS. Big cities and trees are more demanding than plain fields or water. Missions with too many ground units will also have less FPS. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk

He is saying most of us not all... If most of us are satisfied with the a-10c for example, I don't see why the same can't achieved for MiG-21. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk

It's not an advantage as the AI can see you the same way, so you are handicapped if you don't use the wingman to recon. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk

I think the question was not that the engines are different but that they are not very accurately modelled in dcs in compare to the usaf sim. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk

Was great fun. I was close to shoot down a saber then someone came with a snap shot stealing the kill from me :) Reached bingo and Winchester, successfully rtb then got shot on the taxiway. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk

Optimization. The performance with mig-21 at least in VR is horrible. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk

Navigation to bulls is easy enough just follow bearing approx 150-160 from base until you reach the mountains. Returning is also easy just dial 288 on the ark, so I see no real benefit of f10 map icon. Using the mountains, the sea and 288 on ark gives you good enough information where are you. There are also plenty of other beacons one can use for cross reference his position :) Според мен навигацията с арк е интересна :) Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk

+1 for removing own icon from f10 map. Navigation is a huge part of a good airmanship, especially back in 50s.
