  1. Same issues, CTD with no log file when using external views.
  2. Yeah, I’ve found sometimes it works and sometimes not. Didn’t know about the Mach limitation, maybe that’s why!
  3. He asked for ED’s official response, not to restart the whole argument over again...
  4. Could be the home fuel caution. It uses your current fuel flow to calculate fuel required to make it to your home waypoint, so sometimes it will deedle deedle on and off when you work the throttles. PITA on a carrier approach!
  5. I get dud on occasion too. Assuming you’ve correctly set up your fusing, switch mode to CCIP then back to Auto, usually solves it for me.
  6. If you’ve used the Stennis (and not the Vinson), perhaps it’s your graphics settings? I’ve noticed when I play on my laptop and have to turn settings way down, the carrier gets ugly.
  7. Are you using an axis for your TDC? Does it look like the video in this post? https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=227481
  8. It eventually worked for me. Longest 46mb patch ever! Haha
  9. Stuck too.
  10. It’s about suppression (the S in SEAD) An S300 can engage 4-6 targets simultaneously (depending on variant, and only based on a very quick Wikipedia search). I also would not be surprised if there are azimuth limitations to this (ie those 4-6 targets must be in roughly the same direction, not on both sides of the radar, though I have no source for this, just basic knowledge of how the tracking radars work) 1 element of HARM shooting hornets can keep lobbing HARMs at the S300, forcing it to engage the HARMs or shut off to avoid destruction. Either way, the S300 is not engaging the other element of hornets or vipers or strike eagles coming in low level to hit the headquarters or whatever else the S300 is guarding. They’d only need a small window, which can be gained simply by keeping the S300 busy. Destroying it isn’t always necessary, sometimes you just need to keep him busy for a few minutes.
  11. You can use shift+p to temporarily remove it without going into the options menu, but I know this can be tough in VR. I like wolf’s idea though!
  12. It does this automagically for you! No need to change any settings.
  13. +1 We all have our one thing that we really want to see implemented or fixed. I have always wanted a save game option, to the point where I once swore not to spend any more money on DCS until it came. Then 2.5 came out, and the PG map, and the Hornet, and the F14... I’ve just come to realize that we all can’t have our one thing always be at the top of the list, because we all want different things. Do I want a fix to the mouse issue? Yes, though I’ve largely mitigated it by using touch controllers, now that they are implemented (no doubt someone else’s “thing” at some point too). Do I still want a save game? Absolutely. But there is just too much good in this whole ecosystem to quit over one “thing” that may be annoying but ultimately isn’t a deal breaker.
  14. Yeah, internal to my LAN I connect with IPv6, but all my friends connect via IPv4 externally, we have no issues playing on the server at the same time. Works great!
  15. Why was this moved to bugs? It’s not a bug, it’s a question about how the engine works / will work!
  16. When the F14 comes out, we will now have 2 available high fidelity carrier aircraft. My question is, given the F14 is a longer aircraft than the F18, when approaching at on speed AoA, I feel like the pilot’s eyes will sit higher up and in a different position when the hook is in the ideal position for center ball. Given how sensitive the ball is close in, I feel like a tomcat pilot will see a high ball when he’s actually on glide path. Conversely, the pilot of, say, an A4 Skyhawk would be opposite, due to the small size of the aircraft. I believe in real life the ball can be adjusted for the aircraft type. Is this going to be done in DCS? Or are we going to have to just fly the ball differently, at least until the Carrier DLC comes out?
  17. The A10, you barely feel it at all. Could be poorly modelled the other way, or could be because of the inherent stability of that long straight wing. You feel it in the Hornet, but not to the point of losing control. FBW may help there though... I’ve just found that sometimes an aggressive peel-off in the Harrier after firing a Mav or 500 pounder will leave you rolling uncontrollably...
  18. I was trying to do this yesterday through the ME and CA, and it was extremely finicky / not working for me as well.
  19. Sometimes the aircraft borders on uncontrollability with asymmetric loads... I’ve always thought it felt overdone.
  20. Does it matter? Mine shows the IPv6 when I connect but still works great...
  21. MAC address? Mine shows the same, but still works great *edit* nope, mine isn’t a MAC address. Maybe it is IPv6 like Maverick says? Either way, it still works great with super low ping
  22. Strange. I do exactly what you are hoping to do, and mine shows up right away in the server list on clients (much faster than the rest, it shows up by itself immediately then the rest populate a few seconds later). When you select it, it actually displays the MAC address of the server, rather than the public or even local IP. Ping is stupid low, like 8. Mine does it automatically, but maybe if you try entering the MAC address into the connect by IP field? *edit* it’s not a MAC address I’m seeing, maybe IPv6?
  23. You must maintain the lock in single target track (STT) mode, the aircraft’s radar guides the missile. AIM120 has its own active radar and you can break lock once it has gone active (ACT countdown on HUD to 0)
  24. I can't even get a Reaper to engage. Loaded with hellfires, target a BMP, and he just turns around and heads to the nearest airport.
