I really don't like this new forum. Completely erased all my followed content, even all threads I started myself. Had a hard time finding it, but here it is:

Yes, all of the default ones and also self defined. When starting this thread nothing specifically related to me was shown, no threds I had participated in nor any threads I have started myself. But now I can see these, if I do the right selections, but none of the threads or subforums I previously had marked to follow are marked now. So I don't get any notifications of new content (except the ones I have marked since the forum update). Strange thing is, that I have gotten a few notifications about content I have never ever followed. An that content wasn't marked. Not many notifications, but still. I hope this gets sorted when the "Content rebuild and reindex process" is finally done.

Since the last forum upgrade I noticed that I have no followed content anymore! Well, almost. I tested to re-follow some content and it works, butt everything I used to follow is no longer followed! Does this have something to do with the "Content rebuild and reindex process" mentioned above? When do I get it back? 4th December? No big deal with the subforums, easy to go through them and just re-follow them. But individual threads? There must be hundreds of them scattered around the forums and buried far down in the lists, not to mention in my memory.

Due to above mentioned issues, similar to all helicopter missions/campaigns originally made for DCS 1.5.X, I still have last DCS 1.5.7 as my main install for serious playing. DCS 2.[whatever] I still consider Beta, even the version they claim to be Stable. Flying it only due to better looks and new features. DCS 1.5.8 broke many stuff still not corrected. So my advice is to install 1.5.7 and play the campaigns there if you want them (almost) free of bugs.

Just a heads up: The UH-1H part of this MOD is slightly outdated. Actually it is only a newly added feature missing, "Solo Flight", easy to add in the corresponding file. The file is the 'AB-212ASW.lua' located in [MOD zip or folder]\Scripts\Database\helicopters. At line 100, add following as a new line: { id = "SoloFlight" , control = 'checkbox' , label = _('Solo Flight'), playerOnly = true, defValue = false}, After finding above issue, I also looked through the file 'Mi-8MT.lua' in the same location as above and compared it to the original. Unfortunately the MOD:eb content isn't commented in this file as it is in the above. The differences in sections 'LandRWCategories' and 'TakeOffRWCategories' in the beginning are most likely part of the MOD, but further down regarding the pylons, in each 'CLSID' line, there is a part beginning with 'forbidden = ...' in the original file but not present in the MOD:ed one. The same with all lines starting with '{ CLSID = "<CLEAN ...', no such lines are present in the MOD:ed file. My gut is telling me this difference isn't part of the mod, but pure update of the file (the MOD:ed file is last changed 3/8/2020 and original 8/26/2020). What do you think guys?

Aha, found it! Thanks. The thing is, I had looked there before and I looked there now, but no such option. Then I disabled all my MODs and there it was. I have to go through all MODs to see if I can find the correct file and correct it. I always compare my MODed files to new original ones after every update and make sure only the only difference are the MODed parts. Must have missed this. How long have this been present? I did a quick Google and got indications it may have been around since 1.5.x?! Edit: Yeah, it's been around since 1.5.6, but it was for the L-39, not the Huey. Must be a Huey specific file then. Investigating. Edit 2: Found it! It was upuaut's "Addon Tents, Watchtower, UH-1-Cargo" MOD causing this issue. Sorry, but where exactly is this setting located? I have searched and searched, in ME and elsewhere, but can not find it? I'm on latest beta as of today. (no biggie for me, I'm a pure SP guy, just curious since I can't find it...)

They are to some minor extent. When storing, sending and receiving targets with what-it's-called system, controlled by the unit to the left, just below the overhead panel, selected target location is marked on the Abris. But that's about it. The Abris was, if I remember correctly, an afterthought during the development and never got fully integrated.

For what I know there is no real connection between the Abris and the PVI-800. Your flight plan on the Abris will only be visual (on its screen) guidance. To get indications on the HUD, automatic switching of WPs and AP to follow the route, you have to program the PVI-800 directly. Look in the manual for that.

Well they do have some special behaviors that extinguish them from the rest, making them usable as target waypoints nevertheless. They are part of the route (in contrast to BX) and poses individual fixing (in contrast to the entire route when performinga fix for any B). An I guess I most likely forgot something more. I know you already know this, just pointing them out as of not deem the M completely worthless.

Thanks for suggesting that, I came here to do it myself, but you beat me. I just updated to the latest beta and nothing was changed in the original files, so I figured it would still work (didn't test it yet myself). Thanks also for the confirmation.

And pictures often isn't showing, have to go to the web interface to see them. But my biggest issue now is the lack of indication at the subforums headlines if something new has happened in them since last review. Previously it did give an indication, and hence one only needed to check those subforums out, no need to enter the other ones. Now I have to go through ALL subforums I follow, including all levels below, not to miss something out. This part is actually easier in the web interface. Threads are indicated if new content has been added though. The most important feature though SEEMS to work, the device notifications. I don't trust it just yet. My hope is that we will eventually be able to use only one interface again, as we could previously.

Thanks for getting the Tapatalk support back, really appreciated ???? (I hope that's a thumbs up, have previously not worked) Edit: Nope, still the four '?'... But there is still a rather tedious issue that I am not sure is on the ED forum administrators table, but I report it and hope it can be fixed. Previously in Tapatalk, before the forum update, any activity in a subforum, even several levels down, was indicated with (in my case) a blue vertical stripe on the side of the subforum headline, and at all levels down to the new content. For instance, if someone posted a bug report regarding the flight model of the Huey in the correct place, the main Huey subforum would be marked as unread, also the Bugs and Problems one level down, and the correct Flight Dynamics two levels down, and of course the affected thread. This does not happen any more. No subforum headlines are ever marked for new content, only the threads are. This is really tedious, needing to go through EVERY subscribed subforum, and EVERY subforum on EVERY level below just to see if someone might have posted something worth reading. Instead of instant "nope, nothing about the Huey today". Thanks!

Individual threads can be subscribed, not entire subforums unfortunately. Hope they fix it. Strange thing is, if I mark a subforum for subscription in Tapatalk, it works. Next time I check in the forum the subscription button is activated.

Jepp, get them all the time now, always days behind. When I have regained trust for the new Tapatalk functionality the e-mail notifications will be disabled.

Yep, noticed it's back again, thanks! But so far it is incredibly slow to load posts, and I have only gotten two notifications on it? Ah well, let's see how it works out in a few days. (by the way, I'm on Android, and it turns out that Tapatalk has been removed from the Play Store! Hope they sort out any issues leading up to that)

Happy you got it sorted! Yes, they stated in one of the latest updates that they added some button possibilities for the mouse. Maybe that addition broke the possibility to use the middle button?

The flashlight isn't available for the Huey by default. I believe my MOD should still work, haven't tested the flashlight myself for a while though (I am rather thorough to check and correct for any changes after every update).

Na, didn't criticize you, just listing some of the good stuff with Tapatalk not easily achievable with a browser forum, for anyone not knowing. Stating the forum works good on a mobile browser might make people believe our request is of minor importance when in fact it's quite major. Just wanted to highlight the real reasons.

If hitting that big "+SUBSCRIBE" button for a subforum, I only get a pop-up stating I'm not authorized to see the page (!?) Maybe, but it requires a browser to be open to see notifications. In Tapatalk: * I get notifications on the notification bar regardless what app im currently using or if I have my phone in my pocket * I have sound notifications * all subforums I subscribe to are listed at one location * all new content in individual threads I subscribe to are listed at one location * sub-subforums to subforums I subscribe to didn't generate notifications. Some might think this was a bad thing, but I liked it. For instance, I subscribe to the Heatblur subforum because I am only interested in the Viggen, J-35 Draken AI, Scandinavian map and other potential Swedish aircrafts. Going into the Heatblur subforum I immediately saw if anything had happen in the Viggen sub-subforum. Now I get notifications for F-14 sub-subforum related stuff, something I am completely uninterested in. * most likely I have forgotten about something
