  1. Just to add to what have already been explained to you. This utility is, if I have understood it correctly, merely a shell, a GUI to simplify frequently requested functions. The update, repair and clean functions are actually preformed by the very same launcher as if you would start DCS with its regular icon on your desktop. Has nothing to do with this utility other than this utility makes it a bit more intuitive and simplified for the user. You can perform all three (and more) functions utilizing the cmd.exe, but obviously with text based commands. So if this utility doesn't find an update (that isn't released yet), the update check performed every time you start DCS the official way by the official launcher won't find any update either (since it's not released yet), because it's the same exe that is running. So no, it's not here you report these things. Edit: When a third party application (like this one) is failing something that you suppose should work, always, ALWAYS, try the official way of doing things (even if a bit tedious) before complaining on the third party app.
  2. Summing it up, adding to this: If not to much asked for, could we please have some more snow? About 1.5-2 meters in thickness would be sufficient in urban areas...please-please-please-please...
  3. Something similar as described in the end of last post here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=4453762
  4. Just to add. Tested now to remove the requirement for the car to be withing the "Car stop" trigger zone for the mission to proceed, and it did. The car eventual found its way back to the taxiway via going straight through a hangar, and then he skipped the last WP (15) and went out the bush...
  5. So, I did a quick search and didn't see this reported. OB 2.5.6.52437 In the second tutorial, Taxi and Ground handling, the car to follow doesn't stop at the thrust revers training inside "Car stop" trigger zone, but makes a slight right turn and going off road before stopping just outside trigger zone "Car stop" making any further mission progress impossible (trigger "Continue follow FL8" require the car to be inside "Car stop"). I tested to open the mission in ME and save it without any modification, moved the cars WP5 slightly and saved, and added a condition to the WP5 "Hold" action since that was the only difference I could find compared to the WP1 "Hold" that works as intended. Tested both "Time More 9:00:00" and "Is User Flag 5". Nothing worked to make him stop at correct location. Time is long overdue for ED to shape up ground AI behavior...:( /H
  6. I definitely appreciate all this effort! It looks just amazing! But take your time, don't rush it so you feel overwhelmed and loose the joy.
  7. I see. What you have done so far is still amazing. Thank You!
  8. Indeed it is! [emoji106] Now, a bit frosing on the stems, slightly more white on the conifers and a bit hanging branches on them as well and it's definitely here [emoji106]
  9. Thanks! Looking good [emoji106] When you mention winter, I hope you increase the snow coverage an add some pronounced snow banks along the road sides... [emoji6]
  10. Would be nice to see some low-n-slow (i.e. helicopter) pics from the mountain areas...
  11. Thanks [emoji106] See the comment #250 by YSIAD_RIP. The 3.0 had some leftover files from Skullz development not used. They are removed now.
  12. Just you considering it made my day (actually night) [emoji106]
  13. First, thanks for this enhancement to DCS, MUCH appreciated! I run it with Mustangs textures. Now to some requests: I live in the mountainous northern Scandinavia and the winters here are, well, snowy. We have a thick layer of snow for at least 6 months/year. So you could guess whats coming. Most texture MODers have a tendency to REDUCE the snow coverage compared to vanilla DCS, making the cover thinner, to my disliking. That's obviously not your fault. But what you actually could do if time, inspiration and benevolence permits, is to add REAL winter trees, WHITE trees, where you could see the built up snow burden the tree branches, not just change the brown color to white. And by my understanding the ground below the trees as well (subctrate?). What do you say about that? You could make it a separate download. Pretty Please? I guess we northern Scandinavians, Siberians, Alaskans and Canadians are together a minority in DCS, and the Caucasian winter might not be like up here, but I figured I might as well ask.
  14. Yes, removing those and then there are the 8 sdef files I mentioned above present in v3.0 but not in v3.01. See attached picture (sorry for the quality).
  15. First, big 'Thank You!' for this MOD, indeed! I compared the v3.0 with this v3.01 and noticed the 8 files previously going to '[Game Folder]\Mods\Aircraft\Uh-1H\Sounds\sdef\Aircrafts\Uh-1H\Cockpit' are now missing. Is this by intention or just a mistake? Should they go to '[saved Games DCS *]\Sounds\sdef\Aircrafts\Uh-1H\Cockpit' similar to the 3 sound files previously in the Mods directory? Also, think it would be a good thing to add this to the first post.
  16. Since you only mentioned resizing textures, I just want to make sure that you saw post #658 too? Individual posts drown so easily...
  17. Helikopter operations, especially sling load. I vote for letting them stay!
  18. When you go into settings, choose the right most (maybe the one next to it) tab (Special?), not controller settings. Then choose Mi-8 in the left column. Sorry for my bad memory and hence description, but I'm sure you will find it.
  19. Not axis settings, but "Special" I think it's called, under Mi-8. Only for the Mi-8 even if it would be useful in all modules.
  20. Admin, this thread has emerged in the wrong fotum, the Mi-24P Wish list. Need to be moved to wherever it belongs. Thanks.
  21. It's perfectly possible I'm even worse...
  22. Most modules, if not all, including F-14 and Viggen has a discount on the store at the moment.
  23. If you have the space, you can install the stand-alone (possibly without any other modules installed) and run the testing on that one. For the discount I don't know if it is possible to transfer from stand-alone to steam though.
  24. Longitudinal (forward or behind the target) or lateral (left/right) or both? If I remember correctly, the target elevation isn't taken in consideration, so the camera will most of the time be pointing on a spot forward or behind of the target necessitating a manual correction up/down.
