  1. Happy to help
  2. And one more thing: Do you have the fuel lever (short one next to the rotor brake) bound to a HOTAS axis? If so make sure it is fully engaged 100%, NOT 99%! If you consistently can engage hover hold with a breeze, you are probably good. Otherwise add a small saturation (don't remember which) to that axis so it is guaranteed to be 100%, otherwise non of the AP stuff will engage.
  3. I don't have a SimShaker myself. I didn't see it before, but better instructions can be found in posts #19 by Knock-Knock in the first link, with replacement files.
  4. Honestly have no idea. I still only fly casually with my C-n'-C. Never bothered with trim or AP so far. Hope someone who knows will help.
  5. I can't really help because I have not messed with the AP much myself, but I noted one thing you didn't mention: trim Have you flipped the trim switch and do you trim while flying?
  6. You happen to have a Simsaker? Post #12: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=195668&page=2 Suggestion for a solution, also post #12: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=188476&page=2
  7. Install DCS 1.5.7 (not 1.5.8!, incredibly stupid AI). This is how I do it, 2.x.y is still just for flying around for me. Most DLC campaigns where made for the 1.x.y branch, and got broken one way or the other when going 2.x.y. The gunns on the Huey are highly inefficient since a couple of updates ago.
  8. Please see my answer in another thread here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4322888&postcount=4 If you like to get more response you should post all this in the dedicated Huey forum: https://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=263
  9. It's a third-party map, the only one so far. If other third-party maps arrives it will be te same, located under that developers subforum.

  11. Ask in the general DCS forums, there is a way to enter configuration options for the updater and I believe something in the line of saving dovnloaded data at the temp folder after the installation is done. Might be of some help, but maybe it only worked for the torrented data. Asking doesn't hurt.
  12. Just a small issue on the Through The Inferno website, the link to the download of this 1984 Normandy map points to the 1944 WWII one.
  13. Bugger...
  14. ~*~*~*~* I SUMMON THIS THREAD FROM THE DARKEST OF TOMBS !!!!! :fear:*~*~*~*~ So, does it still work? I have compared the SA342.lua that resides in 'coremods' with the one included in the MOD linked to in first post, and the present one seems to be "encrypted" while the one in the MOD isn't. I haven't seen this MOD being mentioned elsewhere and assume it is deprecated. I have not seen any traces of additional weapons in ME either when having this MOD applied unknowingly.
  15. Jus a small thing about this. You actually don't have to call for rearn & refuel, only need to open the R&R menu and select whatever livery and hit "Cancel". You can see this by going F2 when performing it.
  16. Doesn't help much maybe, but a start: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=269388
  17. And the simple answer is: No! As stated numerous times, it provides a gui for managing several useful "tricks" that can be done by other, often less intuitive and more complicated means. Converting your Stable to Beta and back again cam be done with the DCS_installer.exe (the one running every time you staty DCS) but in a comand prompt, something not everybody feel confident with. This utility uses that same DCS_updater.exe and the same commands but with a gui to (hopefully) make it simplier and more intuitive. But not everyone think it does. That's okay. They just simply doesn't use it... EDIT: Disregard. I had this thread open in Tapatalk while doing other stuff, and it had not updated to include the ongoing discussion, so I was hopelessly late to the party without knowing ... Sorry
  18. It's ridiculously short. There is a way to increase it, I think described in the thread linked to in post #4.
  19. Indeed, when it comes to atmosphere nothing beats LB2! (or LB Gold for that matter) DCS World is all about accuracy (might differ from person to person what that mean exactly), but lacks atmosphere. That said you will have tons of fun with the Shark. And don't listen to the people still spreading wrong information about the 'autopilot' 11 years after release (don't trust anybody telling you to hold the trimmer; find the method best suited for your ;-) ). PS you all know LB2 and LB Gold can still be run on Windows 7 and 10, do you? I have both (and Comanche 3) on my Win7. You need a controller with maximum of 4 axis or it won't be recognized correctly. And they are not VR ready...
  20. I'm not familiar with open track, but in TrackIR one can define a button to disable the tracking. If open track is supposed to have that but it doesn't work for you, maybe the same button is used in DCS and causing it to be "hidden" for open track? I don't remember if it was like that in TrackIR, but I defined the mouse wheel button (needed some tweaking since it's not officialy supported in TrackIR to use a mouse button for this) to disable tracking in the TrackIR software and made sure that button wasn't in use anywhere in DCS (seen as mouse button 3).
  21. If you contact Jose, the developer (it's only him), he might be able to help you. I didn't see his email on the website, but I can provide you with it by PM if you like. But otherwise don't bother about it, focus on the main thing, the web map. Anyhow, thanks for looking into it.
  22. When going to minigun seat [3] disable headtracking (i.e. TrackIR) and hit [LALT + C]. When leaving, enable headtracking. The [LALT + C] can be activated in beforehand and only ones without issues I believe. I have a button on the mouse for TrackIR disabel/enable.
  23. I haven't seen it in the web map, only in Oruxmaps, so I concluded it being part of the special case issues I mentioned earlier, the one I don't want you to waste time on. But if you believe it's not a big thing to fix then I definitely appreciate you looking into it. I for sure wouldn't call it "a mess", the overall experience and look is amazing, you have done a great job so far!
  24. Looking good! [emoji106]
