  1. I didn't accuse you for making it up. You saw what you saw. But it can be as simple as someone "from the inside" created a server with the not yet officialy existing Falkland map, a fake server, a non working server, even if you got the password. Just so that hopefully someone, somewhere, would catch the bait. In this case you. You saw it, took a screenshot and posted it here as a sighn of soon to be released. And the hype is soon a fact, just as "They" hoped. ED like these kind of subtle, "coincidencial" marketing strategies.
  2. Might just be a marketing scheme. They know how hyped the community gets from even so small hints or insinuations. Like the Hind for about 0.5s in that video. We have also seen not yet announced aircrafts on MP server lists before.
  3. Yes it does, but only if you have used Right CTRL+PG DOWN first. And it stops at center position, so no RPM increase. Just to expand on the issue a bit. Edit: forgot the "DOWN"
  4. As Orso said. Just to add, one can manually create the zip without using OvGME. As long as the first folder in the zip has the EXACT same name as the zip itself. Then simply move it to the (OvGME) MODS folder. Of course, folder structure still as Orso described.
  5. So, just tested the Cold Start at Mozdok, and at least in that mission you seem to be right. The disk is about 5~6mmHg off. I also did some calculations (with an online aviation calculator) and the QNH and QFE are correct for the elevation. I haven't tested any other mission, so can't be sure it's not a mission specific bug, but I find it unlikely to be.
  6. I assume a typo here. You ment QNH, right? QFE is supposed give 0m on the altimeter. I might try this later if I get the time.
  7. Does the black line move with the disk when you change the setting? I'm not sure if I understand the issue here?
  8. 760 mmHg is the standard pressure, in aviation referred to as QNE to be set in the Kollsman window. The red line at 760 mmHg is just printed on for quick reference.
  9. When you mentioned it, several missions in the Argo campaign has this, you land and the doors open, they close and you are supposed to lift of again.
  10. Just a quick guessing, without actually knowing but based on how MODs should be handled now in 2.5.6 (I just assume you are using OB). Have you tried to create a folder tree "Bazar\Terrain" in your Saved Games\DCS... folder and putting your files there? I know that for some sound MOSs using the old folder structure but in Saved Games is the way to go, despite the fact that the "sounds" folder in the DCS main location is removed entirely.
  11. Only tested on my phone, but it's really looking promising! Good job! May I ask, is there a possibility to get access to the tile server URL or WMS/WMTS for it? I hope to be able to add it in the mobile maping tool I use, Oruxmaps.
  12. You mentioned "trimming". It's like the Pandoras Box of the Ka-50.......
  13. I just thought about it because I done the same mistake myself, so no need to feel embarrassed alone ;-)
  14. Just a thought, did you really turn the dial all around to homing, fully clockwise? I ask because there are more settings between T/R and homing.
  15. So, its really nice to have the invisible pad, and with working ground crew sa well! But i noticed some differences compared with original FARPs. 1) In ATC menu the invisible pad (and the others related) isn't listed with callsign, i.e. "London". It's just "..." 2) When requesting inbound "my" request includes "angels 2.5 (or 3), state 1.4". What is this? what do they mean? (bonus question: I don't get the "contact tower on ..." and the possibility to request landing after an inbound request when closing in on any pad/FARP, original FARP included. I remembering getting this in missions flown in DCS 1.5.7) I also realized an additional usage for the invisible pad. As you know, with a single FARP (original included) one can only request and abort take-offs (possibly request startup and hover check). But one can not request inbound nor azimuth (nor request landing). To be able to do the later things, one have to add an extra FARP with the same callsign and frequency (close-by to get accurate azimuth), i.e. getting a total of 8 pads for the original FARP! But with the invisible pad one can add that instead (with same callsign and frequency) and mark it as hidden in ME to hide it from the map! I haven't tested at night to see if the FARP lightning will work correctly, i.e. the lights turning on when requesting inbound (or was it at landing request?), I guess it won't.
  16. Try download it again. I compared the version I downloaded a couple of days ago and the most current one downloaded 15min ago, and those pads previously not "ground crew enabled" was updated later the same day (22 of March) you posted your concerns. Now the ground crew reply and comply to your requests! Upuau, thanks again! Now on-the-feald operations feel much more realistic!
  17. Updated 2.5.6 version for latest OB! Not tested yet though, but it was small changes so unless something like cargo view have been removed completely without possibility to enable it again, or something similar, this MOD should still work as intended.
  18. This has been discussed in long threads several times. In one of the latest I believe one of the forum admins (NineLine or BIGNEWY) promised to report it to ED for investigation. I have learned to handle this tendency (having a long stick without centering spring but with some friction just enough so it stays in whatever position I put it, then frequently taping the trimmer during attitude changes), but others have big problems with it. If it's a bug or realistic behavior I don't dare to guess (but I suspect that this very thread might become yet one more of those lengthy ones I mentioned above).
  19. I guess the radar range was 120 (if I remember correctly)? Known bug. Change the radar range and the stuttering will stop.
  20. ...or tap it frequently during the entire maneuver, as I do ;-) And there are also those who turning off the heading channel just before turning, then turn it on again when established new heading. But yes, use the trimmer (the way you feel giving you the smoothest control) until you have established a steady attitude. Then release/stop taping.
  21. Excellent! Will test as soon as I have the time (unfortunately not often at the moment) Thanks for all, upuaut!
