  1. All the new airfields/towns/structures are great, really help fill out the map. Lighting does seem a little better as well as performance. Unfortunately the game always freezes solid on me after the update so I haven't been able to enjoy it as much as I'd like.
  2. I can confirm this seems to have always been a problem. Looks like it needs to be reported.
  3. I really hate using the mouse while flying, it's why I bought Cougar MFDs and started making my own panels.
  4. Then the problem is with your hardware.
  5. You need to edit the view LUAs to allow a wide enough FOV (I find 160 max is plenty) and edit the default snapview to put your head position in the right place to see the HUD. The distortion on the side monitors is completely normal, that's what happens when you have a wide FOV on a 2d screen, you're way overthinking this.
  6. Used properly, LGBs always seem to hit their mark. JDAMs will often miss their mark by a few feet, if your target is a tank you might not get the kill.
  7. Sounds like you're using the 3 screen profile. IMO it doesn't look right at all. I stretch the view across all the monitors and it looks much better/more natural IMO.
  8. I wondered if I was going crazy, not working for me either.
  9. Yup, deleting that worked for me.
  10. You can find the commands in the clickabledata.lua and create them for the default.lua in the input/joystick(or keyboard) folder. Currently in the default.lua file there is a note that the IFF controls are on the to do list, so it sounds like they will be coming as default eventually.
  11. None of the module's effects work for me in the 1.5.5 Open Beta. (buttkicker user)
  12. So far no troubles, these pots are very clean. Also, I'm only using Helios for this and the RWR overlay (Simshaker and Helios gauges do no play nice together, so I've chosen Simshaker), perhaps it's more of a problem if you're using a bunch of gauges and switches. I did have that trouble with DCS bios when I did a little testing with it but I found a bit of code that smoothed the input signal completely.
  13. The lighting panel finally. Probably my last panel build. The pots are mapped to the A-10 via Helios, the whole thing acts like an HID so I can easily bind it to other modules.
  14. The Russian aircraft only have a single brake axis (or button in the case of the FC3 aircraft) because they use a single brake lever on the stick and the ones with differential braking are accomplished with a combination of the brake lever and rudder pedal deflection. All of the western aircraft except the C101 and A-10A have differential brake axes. As far as more axis assignments go, that's a module by module and developer by developer basis to add them, not really an overall DCS wishlist feature. And there's no need for a gear lever axis, I made mine with a microswitch, much how I imagine the real ones work.
  15. I'm constantly pegging my 16gb of RAM in 2.0/NTTR multiplayer, I will probably be doubling it soon.
  16. The Mirage stores management system is not designed to use more than one type of A/G munition, the certain combinations that seem to work are purely coincidental.
  17. Between the Arduino, switches, mini stick, damper, neoprene grip and UHMW stock it was about $100. All the metal was laying around.
  18. Thanks! Looking back I guess I didn't post anything in this thread about the collective I made which can be partially seen in the last photo. Build thread
  19. My pit now with MFG Crosswinds.
  20. IMO it always makes sense to makes all your mods JSGME compatible, otherwise you lose them whenever the game is updated.
  21. Before the VRS was pretty violent, now it doesn't seem to exist at all. Hopefully we can find a good middle ground.
  22. That would be the problem. Synchronize HOTAS at start does that for some people, including me, mission starts with throtte/collective full forward/up and the stick full forward and left. Uncheck the box and the problem goes away.
  23. I like them all, however I find I spend most of my time in the Huey nowadays, it's the epitome of a helicopter and it's extremely rewarding when you can make it do exactly what you want.
  24. Sorry, just replying to the thread title request. Mine is really pretty simple, it's just 2x4s and plywood combined with a few panels and a collective I made, doesn't look too different from how it started.
