Yeah something strange is going on since the previous update. If you're flying along and quickly lower the collective, the T4 will spike for no apparent reason and then the engine blows.
Yes, there are elevation limits, unfortunately there's no elevation indication nor a defined set of limits. Just know if the target is way below or above you, you will not get a launch authorized.
Actually I don't have any DCS-Bios stuff yet. The teensy boards I'm using work like HID boards. The rest of my panels are on hold as of right now.
But I figured I'd do a small update on my pit. I since switched to a universal racing seat, it has a transducer mounted to the bottom of it for a homemade buttkicker type setup.
I have that exact one. Works great for me. Only thing I changed was I bent the bottom bracket flat to bolt to my custom desk rather than clamp on the back.
While the AI is superhuman at detecting you, I don't see them looking through buildings and mountains. I can pop up and they will start aiming at me, if I drop back down they will turn away.
Great idea! Forestry is a big industry around here, so this is pretty neat for me.
I just had to add an Mi-8 with a 100ft long line and some 6000lb loads  Too bad we don't have a CH-47.
Sounds like trouble with coordinated turns. If you're just using the stick it's not going to turn very well. Need to use some pedal too, and it appears you need more pedal than the slip ball indicates.
This is pretty much how I always approached targets too. However I'm happy to report the latest open beta update finally nerfed the amazing accuracy of tanks and IFVs, AAA as well. It now appears IFV turrets are terrible at aiming at aircraft, tank pintle mount machine guns are a little better than the IFVs, Zu-23s are about as accurate as the tank machine guns now and the Shilka is better than Zu-23s but not as good as it used to be.
All in all a huge improvement. Now I finally fear AAA more than tanks and IFVs.
In a nutshell, FLT PLAN only allows you to cycle through waypoints that are part of your current flight plan. MARK allows you to cycle through mark points you've created (and mark point Z which is your last weapon impact point), and MISSION allows you to cycle through any waypoint (not mark points) in the CDU, whether they are part of your current plight plan or not.
You do not have to have the Page knob on OTHER to enter new waypoints.
Oh yes, they definitely fixed this. Just setup a test against 4 BMP-3s and they never hit me once, and I was making it very easy for them.
Finally! Been waiting for this for so long!
If that was the problem, a small amount of aft cyclic would correct it, it does not, nor does a large amount.
I really, really like the Gazelle, but the flight model is not yet perfect.
Here's the mission. We already know the laser does not currently measure any objects, upon further testing it appears it's not measuring the top of the mountain where the BMP is. It's measuring the ground beyond it, and at a low angle the ground beyond the mountain top is greater than the 15km limit away. I went straight up from the FARP and tried ranging. It was clearly lasing the ground beyond the mountain. Attack on boulder coop only.miz
There's no contradiction. You can quickly pick it up into a stable hover without noticing the sliding. You cannot slowly lift the collective and get light on the skids without sliding forward.
