  1. Shifting the JHMCS up to compensate for this is out of the question. Once you zoom in it will slide off screen (like the HMD in the KA-50 does by default).
  2. In the case of the F/A-18C, all of those are already there.
  3. Thanks. The first program was able to show that my button was flaky. The second program, much like Joy.cpl, was not quick enough to catch the short pulses. I replaced the pickle button with an Otto mil-spec type button and all is well.
  4. The placement is dead center. Problem is the default view is looking down instead of straight ahead. Center TrackIR while looking straight ahead and the JHMCS will tell you it's pointed like 13º down.
  5. It won't show up unless the IFEI_init.lua has been modded for it. Sounds like you downloaded someone's export mod, which will be overwritten every time the game updates unless you use something like JSGME to remove and apply mods for updates.
  6. If I gather what you're asking, the stick itself moves parallel and perpendicular with the aircraft, only the grip itself should be "canted". I think with the TMWH, if you don't have an extension to allow you to cant the grip, you can rotate the whole base and use the TARGET software to compensate for the base misalignment relative to the aircraft.
  7. I took a long break from DCS. Now that I'm back I notice the Tunguska missiles are now smokeless. It's incredibly deadly now, because unless you're zoomed in and looking directly at it, you'll never see the launch. Otherwise if you can see the launch, the missile itself isn't that hard to trash.
  8. The two that I can think of off the top of my head will be IFEI and RWR, probably the HUD as well for a niche simpit application. For example with other aircraft I have exported the armament display for the Mirage, as well as the INS display. Exported the computer and waypoint number displays in the Viggen (I forget the names for them), the NADIR display in the Gazelle, ect. Generally if it's some type of screen, you can export it.
  9. Took me about a minute to reproduce this and make a track. BRA.trk
  10. I simply do this. Much simpler, and keeps the throttle fairly linear. At least with the stock AB detent, dunno about the various shapeways ones.
  11. The button only version should be solid, I have a DSD button box, while I no longer use it in favor of my custom panels, it's hard to beat for the money. Really for $100, you'd be better off just buying a FLT1 button box, unless you plan on making something specific for a specific aircraft. I am very unimpressed with my 12 bit analog board I bought from DSD for my custom collective. The axes all exhibit a cyclical noise, a noise that was not present when using an Arduino Mega. I emailed DSD about it and they basically told me to pound sand. I have a Leo Bodnar board on the way to replace it.
  12. Generally you go to the aircraft folder, in this case FA-18C/cockpit/scripts/Multipurpose_Display_Group/AMPCD/indicator/AMPCD_init.lua. It should have this line try_find_assigned_viewport("CENTER_MFCD") This can be added to other _init.lua files for cockpit things such as the IFEI (with a unique name, of course).
  13. It should be called CENTER_MFCD by default IIRC.
  14. I have a Gunfighter Pro with a TMWH grip. Is there any switch debounce built into the firmware or adjustable through the software? I'm having trouble with my pickle button giving me multiple inputs in game even though I only press it once. Best I can tell is I'm getting switch bounce that isn't filtered out resulting in DCS thinking I've pressed it multiple times. This isn't visible in Joy.cpl in Windows, which makes sense since it happens so fast, but I'm quite confident this is what's happening
  15. Make a JSGME mod and reapply it after every update.
  16. If the APU doesn't fully start it's because one or both engines are motoring. Make sure the throttles are in the cutoff position and the ENG OPER switches are in "NORM".
  17. I'm having this issue off and on. It seems to be extra sensitive to any switch "bounce" in your pickle button. Sometimes only one fires off, other times they ripple. Highly annoying.

    HARM

Weird, I swear that's what I tried the first time and two left the rails on me, hence trying shorter presses after that. Trying normal long presses seems to work just fine, so never mind then

Anyone else having trouble firing just one AGM-88? Even with a very quick press of the pickle button I still sometimes have two missiles leave the rails.
  20. No it shouldn't be a sure thing, but it should detect more than like 5% of them, which has been a the case for the last couple years since this bug appeared. It detects all other missiles pretty reliably, but not MANPADS.
  21. The only thing I've ever seen shoot down missiles in DCS is a Tor (SA-15).
  22. Looks like it says "Black Shark".
  23. I'm perfectly happy with the aircraft we have, it's plenty capable, they're never going to update the suite, so just stop asking about it. I'm just hoping someone will address the two year old thread discussing the very unreliable detection of MANPADS by the MLWS.
  24. I disagree. The Hornet cockpit is great, don't get me wrong, but the ability to do so much directly from the HOTAS in the Hog trumps having the radios on the UFC.
  25. Another year has gone by, this is still broken and no one is acknowledging it.
