  1. Wait a second. What you've posted isn't a question so there's no need for an answer but instead it's a perfect illustration of what I've said previously about misinterpreting what I said to debate against YOUR OWN misinterpretations, e.g. putting words in others mouths. Let's see what he wrote: "I assure you it is awesome , even on my rig , and that if there is no conflict between these two statements , you must be saying that no one should fly VR in DCS ." Good. He assures me it is awesome although I never said it can't be awesome, I've never given a valuation, but you talk like I did. He also says that I must be saying that no one should fly in VR in DCS, which I also never said but again was put into my mouth. I ONLY meant that giving people the advice to just aim for "40+ FPS" or so for DCS VR is undeniably not a legit advice. Simple as that. It's not what you're aiming for in DCS VR, that there are functions like ASW doesn't negate the goal being to achieve the HMD refresh rate in terms of FPS. I have never given valuations, you painted me like I did. Should be obvious to most anyway but still glad to help. This all isn't your fault, for most it's hard to grasp with an IQ of 105 or so. Have fun "ignoring" me snack. Still digging that hole deeper I see.
  2. Always a pleasure seeing people projecting or putting claims into others mouths so they can then debate against these self made claims, then getting emotional when countered for the immature shit they do. I do in fact know how to read others statements and focus only on what they've said instead of creating some imaginary claims to them. Atleast you've tried, clap clap.
  3. Never did I claim it is possible. This is also the reason why I said the hardware and software in combination has to mature so then it is possible. It should be the goal when you build a NEW system around DCS VR, not settling for "40+ FPS" and then go with it. So it has not matured to the point where it needs to be, since you need to bring the "eye candy" down. Good to know. It's not like you can buy and use other headsets than the rift which most simulator pilots do in fact right? Do everyone a favor and read carefully, don't put words in my mouth. I thank you a lot.
  4. On a normal screen not hitting the refresh rate is negligible and doesn't change the end result so much like it does in VR not hitting the HMD refresh rate. Hitting the refresh rate was and still is the target to hit in VR, not 40+ FPS. It's just a stepping stone until the hardware and software in combination has matured enough to constantly hit the HMD refresh rate, not the goal. Saying to someone he only has to aim for 40 to 50 FPS or so for VR, then it would be awesome, is not a legit advice.
  5. 3800X and 3900X are on par with 9900K in terms of performance. Let's say it again: AMD Hertz are not Intel Hertz, they don't translate 1 to 1. Which has better performance then depends on the title(s).
  6. In VR the goal is to hit the refresh rate 100% of the time. Medium FPS on a normal screen is negligible, not so with a VR headset because of the dual picture 3D effect. Better have "too much" horsepower than too few. 45 FPS is barely the refresh rate of any HMD.
  7. With having in mind you need picture clarity first and foremost for it being the best in DCS - yes it is.
  8. Do not be a cuck now, God brought you to DCS.
  9. There would be, but really not a lot. But you might want to support AMD and really have a decent price for the card, if so then go ahead.
  10. I've literally waited months until the first one comes around to correct the ones always saying "investing" rather than buying. There he is. Kudos, if I'd wear hats I'd probably pull mine off for you.
  11. You can clearly see in my initial post that "He" and "Sukebe" are two different persons. The OP didn't ask for the best pedals, that's what I said. He asked for recommendations.
  12. He didn't ask for the best pedals and Sukebe didn't say the Crosswinds are the best. MFG Crosswinds recommended.
  13. If you don‘t fly these overkill missions which are so hard on RAM and probably don‘t even have PG then you go with the 3600 to raise frames on the Ryzen, this especially goes for when using VR. But who uses DCS like that? Not a lot.
  14. Not like they are selling it to people as a game to broaden the scale on potential buyers right? SAYING it‘s a game doesn‘t automatically make it a game fool. But why talk to people who are too idiotic to think for themselves?
  15. 32GB 3200 if you intend to go multiplayer. If only singleplayer then 16GB 3600. Welcome to the team.
  16. Me neither, no one is, quit projecting. It's a simulator. 1) Tries to talk about other peoples "insecurities" then 2) asking Google for assurance on this case: check. Did he really use Google to prove his point? lmao, my eyes. Please no, stop.
  17. It's not about the waiting, it's about if the delivery is going according to plan. It's fishy you receiving the pad before me although I ordered quite some time before you, especially, since it's 3 times more distance which it has to travel.
  18. Literally, the geographical distance to Germany is atleast 3 times less than to west coast Canada fml. Which poor soul lurking here works for a delivery service and stole my glorious Jetseat?
  19. Not knowing the difference between a game to pass time and a simulator which simulates something where there is a equivalent in real life: check.
  20. I've never claimed that you've claimed this aswell but I displayed the flaw in your "argument" against VR. Ah, you're feeling. I see, it's about your feelings. I'm neither a "VR fanatic" or a "2D fanatic" but you could also say the same thing for the "other side", so what.
  21. Where is the immersion when you look at a 2D screen, which in this case your argument isn't even working for but against you? When you look on a screen you also have stuff in your field of view which isn't even related to DCS. Pens, wall, people, animals, cans or whatever, not even to talk about when the picture gets distorted because of changing lightning conditions in your sim room through sun light for example. In VR atleast it's pitch black. Where is the immersion when you can also see the pixels on a normal screen, which in this situation you are again also limited by your real field of view (e.g. you see other things around the screen) and doesn't create a 3D effect? Even when putting the screen as close as possible to you you still have edges on every side of the screen - exactly like in the HMD but without a 3D effect. You can't spot a IL76 2 miles out? Failing to setup everything correctly is your fault or you are exaggerating to support your point aren't you? Why no word about the possible future integration of gloves/controller use inside DCS so you can flip the switches with your virtual hands if controlling the mouse is so immersion breaking for you? Let it mature. And DCS is not a game, the name itself has the word "Simulator" in it. Is there a difference between a game or simulator? Yes there is. I seriously cringe when people call it a game. Angry Birds is a game.
  22. No. 1) You'd need whole new platform for it, the money spent isn't worth it. The difference in performance is way to small, if even worth mentioning. 2) The performance difference of AMD and Intel clock speeds are not 1:1. So 4.6 GHz on one doesn't automatically mean the same performance on the other one also having 4.6 GHz (in terms of instructions per cycle). Upgrading to Ryzen 3700X or 3800X for example would be more reasonable, if you're asking yourself what would give you the most decent performance increase.
  23. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=238454&highlight=SLI https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=228327&highlight=SLI SLI does work in DCS, I just did a quick forum search now. You can also find Screenshots from someone who tested it and he gained a decent amount of FPS by it. It just doesn't work in DCS VR, only 2D. The software, in this case DCS, must kind of "allow" it/be able to make use of it first.
  24. DCS can use SLI unless you're using Virtual Reality. SLI only works on normal screen as of now.
  25. Ordered on 4th of September and mine didn't move for 12 days after leaving Russia customs. Are you from the US/UK Axion yes?
