  1. Someday http://simpit.info/motion-integrated-g-seat Until then a quality office chair.
  2. Go ahead.
  3. Hold your horses, time will tell. But AMD gaining more market share is certain.
  4. If you want to test the strength of one CPU against another, sure. When you see that a 9900K has the DCS performance of X and you have a benchmark testing a processor against this 9900K you can use this as an indication of how well this new CPU would perform in DCS. If that's not what you meant be more specific.
  5. Wait 2 months or so, let the hardware and software mature and then go build a Ryzen setup. Once the manufacturers see how well it performs maybe even someone like EVGA jump onboard and build boards. Possibly, the 3950X will even be better for DCS, if not theres still the other new AMD CPUs. Who would build Intel rigs with built-in backdoors anyway? :book:
  6. Good to know for setting up the controls as realistic as possible. Good one.
  7. ~4.5 GHZ on Ryzen is about as capable as Intels 5 GHZ in real world performance output.
  8. This is why you always actually wait for new hardware and software to mature before buying into it. You literally bought on the 3rd day or so, that's what you get. Lesson learned.
  9. There are still people who don't or can't check hardware compatibility before buying and then the first thing they do is blame the manufacturer the moment they encounter problems :doh:Lmao
  10. I'm not 100% certain where to find the thread/posts and also don't have the time to look for it but I remember someone (Silver Dragon?) stated something about the progression of Vulkan implementation and most people left with the impression that it already was surprisingly advanced, more than you'd think.
  11. Yes. This should be the reason for ED to port DCSW to run on Vulkan. And then if you consider this and build a little future proof - the AMD CPU is now the better option. 3900X (3800X?) really does not lag a lot behind 9900K in single core honestly. As of Gamers Nexus benchmark the Ryzen also has a more stable frametime than its Intel counterpart which translates into a more smooth experience, especially for VR this could possibly make a feelable difference.
  12. Going the AMD route is still likely to be the better option with having in mind DCS World is being moved to Vulkan. Just for raising competition and giving a **** you to Intel aswell. Edit: Nice censoring.
  13. The XTAL headset by VRgineers is what you're looking for. It's a professional unit. More costly than the other headset but miles ahead of them seriously. SweViver did a video on it just recently.
  14. Offer a throttle only purchase option ... it's not about that your joystick is bad. Don't shoot yourself in the foot.

    F-15E?

Wrong. The opposite is way more likely, especially due to the nature of the Strike Eagle being a two seater. We are not in real life here. If you have to or should be a two pilot flight first because of the workload this would be a major obstacle for a lot of people when it comes to just flying some hours spontaneously on the weekend or whatever. Who on these forums would really care what has it done in "real life" combat or not since 1999? It's about selling the module to customers (us) to atleast break-even financially. If you ever programmed something you maybe have a glimpse on what amount of work it is to program not just a game with beautiful graphics here and there - but a realistic combat flight sim. There is not a thing which is more demanding on developing in entertainment industry. It's an F-15 Eagle, legend for a good reason. The Strike Eagle just has the additional options for A2G and doesn't even excel there in comparison to planes which were specifically designed for A2G and some air to air combat. The F15 is for the latter.

    F-15E?

I really hope. Let's see if this is the truth. If multicrew in mandatory then goodbye F15 sales.

    F-15E?

Please give us a single seat version which doesn't force you into multicrew...
  18. I mean the possiblity to be in a jet with a friend (which in my eyes would be the biggest selling point of the Strike Eagle, as of now it sounds like you are even being forced to do this) is not needed anymore since the Tomcat is released. Why would someone take the Strike Eagle over the Tomcat when the latter is already released for a year and people have experience with it? Only those people buy this who for the sake of it can then say "oh I have the E version of the F15, look at me". This is a niche market within a niche market. I'm not saying the Strike Eagle will not be sold but I'm saying it will be a lot, lot less then a single seat version full fidelity module, be sure especially when it forces people into multicrew. Not my money and time being put into this though. Better than no "real" F15 module I guess. In my eyes it's in interest of RAZBAM themselves (sales), ED themselves (again sales) plus the community. If something like the license is getting in the way of a "reconsideration" that would be a tragedy/sad. As long as all parties of the contract agree nothing must be set in stone. I also do not know how far they are with the development and how much the A/C version does differ from a Strike Eagle when you look at the effort to develop.
  19. Yes. That there is already a FC3 version of the F15 is no argument, it will sell again when released in full fidelity. Even more people than those owning the "arcade" FC3 version. I have FC3 but will buy this over F14, F16 or F18. If I were of RAZBAM I would really, really reconsider their choice on making a E instead of a C or A version, especially with sales in mind. I mean with the FC3 version there are atleast the basics of the additional development covered, they are into development anyway right now but for the wrong final product. RAZBAM you hear us?
  20. This will push down sales heavily compared to the ability to fly it alone (C version). When it's not usable as a single individual - how many would purchase this? I clearly will not. When you have to have someone sitting in the back everytime you want to fly it effectively or at all? Please ... For A2G there will be the Hornet, Viper and for additional multicrew even Tomcat. A2G scenarios are perfectly serviced with these. Why then Strike Eagle instead of full fidelity C version which is perfectly usable as a single pilot? Eagle belongs into the air for superiority. 1 or 2 of 3 people ever flown the FC3 F15C version will still love to switch to a full fidelity one in a heartbeat. Strike Eagle which forces you to always have a mate in the backseat to be effective? Not so much. Developing the Strike Eagle instead of the C version might turn out as a really bad decision when you think about development costs to how many people will actually buy this module. I mean really bad when the market for A2G is already saturated. "Oh for air to air it's already saturated aswell ! ..." Subjective, but you can fly alone whenever you want to and are dependent only on yourself compared to the E version. It's time for a C version - as a single module or somehow incorporated into RAZBAMs product. I see unnecessarily low sales numbers on a multicrew only Strike Eagle.
  21. Surprising but good to see. Well, how will the RIO situation be handled? Like in the F14 with the Jester menu? A bit of a immersion breaker when you are flying solo. Will there be an option to actually get a full fidelity C version whether by ED themselves or included in RAZBAM product?
  22. Cables only. Listen to this dude.
  23. Release a full fidelity F15 Wags. I take this over F18, F16 and F14 honestly. Isn't this already planned? I know a 15E version was started and then aborted by a third party developer "some" time ago.
  24. Uninstall your graphics driver completely and reinstall the newest one again. Of course, do a restart in between. If problem is still there uninstall DCS World and reinstall it again. Do a restart in between. Or
