Having read the other thread about 1.5 freezing, I tried installing Win10. This has solved the problem and now all missions are loading correctly again! I would have preferred not to use Win 10 at this early stage but will see how compatibility with other games goes.

I had originally posted this in the thread about the Fury X gfx card, having read some of the posts on here, it would seem others with Fury's have the same issue with the game hanging at the point of loading a mission. ( Running on Win7 64 ) Having seen others mention loading Windows 10 solved their issue, I gave it a try and am pleased to say this has solved the mission loading hang for me! Hope this helps! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------–-------------- I have the same issue with the Fury ( At least I think I have, google translate not withstanding... ) I have been playing the Beta without issue on my old GFX card ( Ati R9 290 ), I have just installed a new gfx card ( Ati Asus Radeon Fury Strix DC3 4096 HBM ). The game opens to menu OK, it is only upon the loading of a mission that the computer hangs. The load always gets to about 75% but goes no further. Alt tabbing out just gets the windows "swirl" and then says "computer not responding". I have tried this on the Hawk module and standard SU25 and with various mission. Each time exactly the same load ( 75% ) but no further. I have uninstalled the beta, deleted the folder, re booted PC and reinstalled. Same hang on mission load each time. No mods now loaded ( just SU25) still same issue. I have tried gfx drivers as follows - 15.7.1 and 15.10 Beta. DCS 1.2.16 loads missions with out any issues. PC system - Win 7 home premium 64 bit, Intel core i7-3820 CPU @ 3.6GHz - 16Gig RAM - DX11.

Hi all, I placed my order at the start of July. I received a notification on the 6th Oct saying that they were ready to ship and a courier tracking number on the 9th saying awaiting collection by the courier ( though it still says that on the tracking companies website??? ) I did send a quick chaser to Milan on the 5th when I hadn't heard anything and he sent an email straight back saying they would be ready soon. ( Sooner than I thought, as it was the next day that he emailed saying they were ready. ) Hopefully yours wont be much longer! -
yep, that's the one I tried, as suggested, I will start a ticket. Thanks all for the help. :) Cheers EDIT - Got it sorted, apparently I had bought A10 with another profile ( didn't realise I had more than 1 lol ) now all is good in the universe. Very quick turn round by customer services, thank you!

Sorry, that's what I meant. ( I followed the link given on the product page to the eShop/Nevada page) On that page it shows details of the product and a price and option to add as a Pre purchase, No serial number. I am logged into my account and it's the same account that when I put the A10 serial number in, it shows the details of my purchase back in 2010. Should I contact customer services?

Sorry can't help with your question, just wanted to say that this may be the best forum title I have ever seen. :D

Thanks, that's a good point. Wouldn't want to miss out on one of these! **EDIT** Glad to say all is well! I emailed Milan and got a very quick reply...Note to self, always read the small print! My order is not going to be fulfilled till Sept and stated that in the Terms Of Sale ( my bad ), thats when another email will be sent to pay, etc. Now very much looking forward to September. -

Thanks for the info, I didn't want to start bothering him this early in the process, as I'm sure he gets enough requests and queries as it is. I'm happy to wait, just wanted to make sure this was the norm. :) -

Hey guys, I was wondering if you guys who have the crosswinds could tell me how the ordering process went. I've just ordered some, received an acknowledgement saying "order confirmed" but havent heard anymore ( ordered them just under 2 weeks ago. ) Do they contact you any further before they are ready or do they wait until they are ready to ship before asking for payment, etc? ( Just wondering if they are still producing them as the web site hasn't been updated since March ) Thanks! -
iControl DCS (Another iPad pit)
Ratcatcher replied to boarder2's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hi boarder2, Well I would like to see something that allows the input of numbers to the various radios/TACAN/ILS controls to be altered so that their input is a lot more straight forward. Currently it tries to replicate the actual input a little too literally, which is a neat idea but leaves me endlessly trying to roll my finger round and round in circles like a demented tv studio floor manager, then having to reverse the direction when it over shoots ( or as a consequence of the current state of the game - having the numbers jump about all over the place. ) It might be easier if the icontrol representation of each instrument was larger ( as it is very fiddly ) but tbh I think its the fact that flick / pinch / stroke gestures don't work that well with this type of control input. I find it bad enough on a 23" touch screen using HELIOS, let alone a 10" Ipad with the 5 nav instruments represented on the one page along with the warning lights panel and weapons arming panel. I would like to see something that may not actually replicate the real world instruments, but accurately and quickly allows the user to input the desired radio frequency. Taping each knob/dial rather than flick up and down. Disadvantage would be that you would have to cycle through all numbers - 0 to 9 - should you over shoot. But at least it would be a simple tap tap tap. Alternatively, you could have a keypad come up. Say for example you wish to select an ILS station. You simply tap the ILS control box to make it the live input. ( Signified by a colored border ) A keyboard pops up on screen and you put in the required digits... 1 - 0 - 9 . 9 - 0, then hit "select" or "OK" ( or similar ). This keypad could also have a volume "+" and "-" and a power on / off button. Basically you control all the inputs on the one keypad. Once your done hit "set" and the input is er... input. :music_whistling: You would also need a "del" key in case you input the wrong number. Once you input the selection the keypad disappears retaining the realistic representation of the instruments. Sorry for the long post, but you did ask :D Hope it makes sense! Cheers -

I have just got back into A10 after a long leave of absence and have finally got things running correctly again. I would really like to see an update that improves the radio selection system. Fingers crossed for an update soon. ( Though I do appreciate that the continual changing of how systems work in DCS must make it very challenging / to say nothing of frustrating - to keep on top of ...) -

[How To] Export ALL Indicators like MFCD via ViewPorts
Ratcatcher replied to icemaker's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
Well this is very strange ( as is always the case with anything to do with DCS lol )... I have just amended my monitor.lua and renamed the viewports as per deaconjb's post on page 48. I have amended all the ones on his list, saved and loaded it and the 2 MFD's are now back on my fourth monitor ( and in the right positions I left them ) but all the other indicators are still missing! MickF, could you post your Export.lua please? So I can see what your naming the indicators. This is what I have at the moment that gives me 2 MFD's but no more...( please note its now a mish mash of the old naming conventions and the one I took from deaconjb's, neither of which are working ) _ = function(p) return p; end; name = _('HELIOS_Ver2'); Description = 'HELIOS setup' Viewports = { Center = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 5040; height = 1050; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = 5.04; } } CDU_EXPORT = { x = 6423; y = 733; width = 280; height = 180; } LEFT_MFCD = { x = 5105; y = 145; width = 380; height = 380; } RIGHT_MFCD = { x = 6265; y = 145; width = 380; height = 380; } DIGIT_CLOCK = { x = 5456; y = 809; width = 100; height = 100; } RWR_SCREEN = { x = 5536; y = 141; width = 200; height = 200; } CMSP_SCREEN = { x = 5980; y = 182; width = 236; height = 47; } CMSC_SCREEN = { x = 5784; y = 139; width = 218; height = 34; } ED_A10C_UHF_FREQUENCY_STATUS = { x = 5609; y = 671; width = 120; height = 33; } ED_A10C_UHF_PRESET_CHANNEL = { x = 5693; y = 466; width = 30; height = 27; } UHF_REPEATER = { x = 5599; y = 540; width = 110; height = 28; } Gui = { x = screen.width / 3; y = 0; width = screen.width / 3; height = screen.height; } UIMainView = Gui UIMainView = Viewports.Center -

Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Yesterday all my exported indicators were where I wanted them...today ( following a small patch ) they are now back at default settings! I have checked my monitor.lau and its loading the correct one in the menu. Any ideas whats changed? ( I wouldn't mind so much but its just taken me about a week to get the damn things working were I want them! ) :wallbash: -

Good question as I had noticed one display considerably brighter than another... unfortunately I have no idea, sorry. Not sure if the in game display can be adjusted and if that is mirrored in the external? -

Hey barra, great to hear! It really is worth it when it all works. In fact doing all this has reminded me of the feeling I had in the early days of gaming when I spent more time getting the game to work rather actually playing the damn thing, lol
