Milhouse: "I knew the dog before he came to class!"

I'm always hearing people on non aviation forums say the follow: -I can't dog fight, F-4's couldn't dog fight and they lost all of their planes. -It's too fragile and keeps breaking down I don't agree with that, because (I know it can dogfight like a boss) but also that it will almost never get into a dogfight, since they don't really exist. I've heard that dog fights haven't existed after WW1. It seems like people just like repeat sensationalised and ill-informed media statements What do yo guys think?

+1 the multi-crew potential in this aircraft especially is very exciting.

The big question is though, will DCS support StarVR?

Because they've hopefully put this on hold to work on the Hind or Cobra :D

Wow OK, well starting up the aircraft will really be something! Of course it'll be tricky to use when flying though (having to pick up a controller, flip switches, and put it down again). But it's a fantastic start!

Nice work! Are you considering creating pedals that are helicopter like design, since you fly choppers mostly? Helicopter pedals are designed to use the balls of your feet, instead of placing the whole foot onto the pedal. Like the ones from Huey. More like this so you won't need to move your legs to push the whole pedal, but instead just rotate your foot, more like a car accelerator pedal.

F-14 release towards the end of the year? Did I read that right?

Database Designer or Engineer would be a much better term. But you are right, not as hip and trendy :) As for Sales Architect, that just sounds complete stupid. But that's the corporate world for you. Big buzzwords and little useful results. Technology has gotten to a stage where it's as much of a burden as it is a blessing.

+1 if you aren't in a hurry, then waiting for the new nvidia cards will be worth while :) CPU wise I think it will be fine. I'd start with a new video card, and see how it goes.

It looked good. But if you can do all of that in less than 1/2 the time with the mouse and more accurately it's still a bit of a hard sell to me.

A lot of missions already have the A-10C up and running on the runway or ramp :) And if they don't it's very easy to change in the editor. The A-10C is probably the easiest plane to fly in DCS, you put the throttle to max and leave it there. The only way to crash is if you forget to turn your autopilot on while you have your head down to press switches ;)

nice! That's some very smooth flying :) Now you just need to add some remote control car shock absorbers (with the springs removed) to give you some "feel". If you fill them with the right thickness oil you'll be able have the stick remain where you left it, so you won't need to trim and will be able to take your hands off. This guy has added them to the shaft, but you might have an easier time attaching one shock damper to each axis ring instead. Sle-xYRj2wo
