  1. Maybe there is 4 seconds worth of radar reflections still bouncing off the target?
  2. Saitek pedals are that bad people are giving them away, now that there are pther options HAHA :P
  3. Because generally things don't go on sale until they are at least finished....
  4. Hmm, true, well in that case I guess the only way this would work well would be with a non-stop rotary like a mouse wheel, where it doesn't have a start/end position it just keeps rotating in either direction.
  5. Wow that campaign trailer makes the A-10C look amazing :)
  6. I think he meant just the CAD file not the actual 3D printed model.
  7. Ok, lets get straight to the point :) How much should I be throwing at the screen?
  8. I've been using VAC (voice activation control). It works perfectly. I mostly use it for the ATC so I don't have to fiddle with the F1-F12 keys. What we really need is a bluetooth mouse that can find it's way to your hand by way of voice command :P
  9. I don't think anyone would complain about having laser guided rocket pods :)
  10. Encouraging classic gender roles plays a part here too. On both sides parents subtly make children of each gender behave a certain way, and over several years to a decade it certainly makes a difference. It starts by painting your kids room pink or blue (classically female and male colours), the toys you buy and the subjects you talk about. Gender neutrality will almost always make a better person as they will have a more rounded view of the world.
  11. My theory was then you'd want headphones that can hit accurate frequencies near mids, well below and above. Since many sounds have a range of frequencies to create the sound, the you'd at least hear some of it. E.g. an engine sound might be made up of a high pitch whir, a mid freq hum, and a low end rumble. If your headset cannot make the high and low portions of it you would hear nothing. But with hi-fi you might still hear the low and high, even if your ears are unable to pick up the mid. But if you only have headphones that can create the mids, then you'd hear nothing at all. I guess a buttkicker or gamer cushion Andre sells here would be great for people who have hearing loss, as they would be able to feel some of the sounds.
  12. In that case it would make a lot of sense to get hi-fi headphones so they produce more frequencies to make sure you getting as much sound as possible.
  13. How do you plan on measuring skill?
  14. Where does the turtle come into all of this? And I never understood what the turtle is riding on.
  15. 970 should easily drive that type of screen at near max details. For the most part my 970 GTX gets over 120-180FPS depending on conditions. Of course at airports and things it will drop down to near 60-100ish but that's still plenty.
  16. From what I've heard here I think the Replika stuff will be available before the Hornet is out :)
  17. Sure, I use this exact one: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/3-5mm-Jack-Adapter-Head-Wore-MIC-Flexible-Headset-Studio-Speech-Microphone-/141362479898?hash=item20e9dc431a:g:JYwAAOSwGvhT2J2m I've just snipped off the headset wire, and used blu-tack to attach it to my left headphone. Sure it's an extra cord, but you can use a bit of velcro or whatever to help keep the cords together. You can also use something like this, but they pick a little bit more room noise, which means you have to use Push-To-Talk (otherwise pets/kids/tv can annoy other players). http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/3-5mm-Plug-Clip-On-Mini-Mic-Microphone-Studio-for-PC-Laptop-Desktop-Notebook-BU-/251822468159?hash=item3aa1c9ec3f:g:ag0AAOSw-W5UsIms The quality is plenty for voice chat since most of programs will compress the audio anyway to keep your game from getting network lag.
  18. Even though Dimitri was approaching the end of his tour, the duality of his being tugged at his heart. He could not wait to spend the rest of his life at home with Natasha, but at the same time, being a sailor was all he knew. This ship was his home, it was part of him. He stared off into the cold, black water, and pondered the meaning of existence.
  19. My advice would be to buy a $99 headphones, and a $1 mic from ebay or similar. Because headsets (headphone + mic in one unit) are generally overpriced for what you get. If you were to buy a headset for $100, you're getting the equivalent of say $40 headphones and a $5 mic. But if you buy them separately you're getting a much better product for the same money. Something like a Sony MDR, Audio technica, Philips Fidelio, Sennheiser, AKG , Beyerdynamic etc. These brands all make set in your price range, and will sound several factors better than a headset (especially a gaming brand one). It's not hard to put on a $1 microphone with a bit velcro backed 3M tape or if you want a turn key solution grab one of these : http://www.modmic.com/
  20. Well in that case, enjoy :)
  21. Where on earth are you buying from? The warthog is around $550AUD, and the X-55 is less than $300AUD in most places that aren't inside a shopping center. (Try Umart, IJK, PC Case Gear, MSY etc). It's still double the price, but hardly $800. Every store in Australia by law has to replace or refund a faulty product up to 12 months. Btw unless you have giant hands, you might wanna try the X-55 because a lot of people aren't able to press the fire button while holding the stick in the default grip. Edit. I personally would have gone with CH products Top Gun Pack. It's slightly more than the X-55, and a lot cheaper than the Warthog + pedals.
  22. Anything that has 144hz - It's sooooo smooth and less blur that you can still read text and gauges while you are moving your head with TrackIR.
  23. Briliant! :D
  24. Having tried the DK2. it's not a product you'd want to use all of the time. It's fine as a taster, but having tried it, it feels very much like a prototype and has many limitations.
  25. Yes come and play online, we need more people on the servers :) It's also a great way to learn if you jump on with a friend you can both feed each other information. Or if you look in the multiplayer sub forum here, you can join a training group.
