  1. Dell Visor is on it's way! Next weekend is going to be fun :-) (or super frustrating as I stuff around with windows updates lol)
  2. If you have the option, and it's not too much trouble, I would try a clean installation of Windows 10. Then do all of your windows updates, then install any graphics drivers etc. (I know it's a pain, but it's likely the fastest way to get it working since there is no obvious cause)
  3. That makes perfect sense. Thank you :-)
  4. I noticed the other day that heads up displays in combat aircraft seem to have an accurate reticle regardless of the pilots head position and angle. It always seems to shoot the right way no matter what I do with my head. (Where as of course if I hold a rifle in real life, and move my head, the rifle's line of fire would no longer match up with where I am looking, which is why you need to line up the two sight markers to aim) Can someone please explain to me the theory/method of how this works? Does the HUD somehow know which way the pilot is looking, and adjusts the symbology to offset the angle of the pilots head in real time?
  5. Hopefully there will be native support coming for WMR headsets if Wags is using one :-) WMR headsets are nearly 1/4 of the price in Australia compared to a Vive.... (Which means that many of us will be able to either afford VR period, or afford VR and have something spare for flight controls LOL, or even perhaps that much needed upgrade to run VR at 90hz)
  6. By any chance has anyone used more than one of these headsets? I can get my hands on a Dell Visor WMR headset for around $250AUD or a Samsung Odyssey for close to $600 AUD. As much as I'd like to get the boost in resolution, could anyone give me an indication whether it is worth such a big price difference? Or should I get the Dell now, and wait for another 12-18 months for an even better headset? (Oculus and Vive are out of the question as they are both close to $1000 AUD)
  7. Great Ideal using rollers imo. What this needs is to be about 40% bigger, and a full bubble that can fit a full hotas and rudder pedals, and so that it can spin a full 360 on all x/y/z axis lol
  8. Ah I got excited thinking that a GTX 1070 was giving you 90fps in VR ...... Well I was wishing I guess :-)
  9. Being able to feel the switches and knobs, and feeling the click of a button on the UFC etc would just be amazing for DCS.
  10. YEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSS!! :D
  11. Hopefully DCS will support natively in the near future :-)
  12. Is that specific to the mix reality bunch of headsets? Or can I expect that on even the vive?
  13. I'm really liking the whole welder goggles / flip up style of these headsets. Such a better system. I've been eyeing off the Dell Visor headset. EDIT: ooooh and now I've just noticed the Samsung Odyssey, it's not as cheap as the Acer, but it has a higher resolution - same as the up coming vive pro, and with AMOLED screens instead of LCD, so there should be far less ghosting.
  14. I'm having crashes with reshade enabled for DCS (works on other sims though). I've installed to \\...\DCS World\bin\ and select DCS.exe Downloaded all fx etc, even tried pasting in the config posted by Smacko Steam overlay is disabled. DCS crashes and the log file says Any help appreciated :-)
  15. Oh yeah LANTIRN pod. That makes the Tomcat so much more desirable now. Looking forward to a coop campaign too.
  16. Is it possible to turn Labels on/off during a mission, and particularly in MP? I like to play with labels on, but my friends don't. Is it possible to have labels enabled for my PC, and then have my friends turn them off on their own PC? (we play coop, so no there is no competitive advantage :-) )
  17. This grip looks fantastic - is there any word about a modern throttle?
  18. Old school flying action game :-) RGFPwx31O7o
  19. Ah yes the radar does make things a little bit more complicated. But I guess homing missiles also make the combat easier. I would perhaps set up a scenario where the other planes are guns only, and the player aircraft has close combat missiles - and then all you have to do is put the radar into close combat mode - it will lock up enemies automatically when they are in range/view. I think that would play very much like a typical action game :-)
  20. Why not just turn on game-mode flight model and systems, unlimited ammo etc in the options? :-) Especially for Flaming Cliffs modules, the avionics should be simple enough if you print out the commands - engine start, flaps, gear etc
  21. that is something! something amazing!
  22. Yes, unarmed versions of many aircraft would be excellent. Perhaps with some other limitations too. Also any multi-seat aircraft would be cool if the gunner/RIO/WSO could play for free, or at least sit in and spectate from the cockpit view and come along for the ride.
  23. Congrats RAZBAM team! What an impressive module!
  24. Pie's and cakes are on the menu :) In fact here is the dessert list: https://www.drmcdougall.com/health/education/recipes/mcdougall-recipes/?cat-id=7&cat-name=Desserts And I believe this is the reason it works so well (for me at least). I get to eat most of my favourite foods, however with strategised ingredients. How exciting to meet a fellow McDougaller, and here of all places! We'll have the healthiest sim community at this rate
