You could download DCS world on steam, then go to properties and then beta's, and then opt in for the "legacy 32bit build" wich remains forever on 1.2.x that would allow you to play fc3 in a 32bit enviroment. If you insist on playing FC2, I know this site still sells keys. http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-LOFC2/lock-on-flaming-cliffs-2

Hey mil, glad to see you stuck around! I remember your last thread :) You can hold R to dump fuel. A good amount of fuel to retain for your approaches would be between 800kg ( you will hear the first Bingo fuel warning ) and 500kg ( the 2nd bingo fuel warning ). While technically still overweight, it should be a lot more doable than with 3800kg of fuel!

even with use of nosewheel F-86 puulls to left on takeoff
Sryan replied to Ramstein's topic in DCS: F-86F Sabre
Heya, normally it's great if you upload a track with these kind of problems, but I have a hunch at what the problem might be. The Nosewheel steering function is only powered when you hold down the steering button. What might be the case is that you center your rudder at the same time you let go of the nosewheel steering key. this causes the nosewheel to be jammed in an off-centre position. When rolling on the runway after a taxi, make sure to hold the nosewheel steering key for a few seconds with the rudders centered to allow the nosewheel to level out. You can use the F2 external view option to observe if the wheel has leveled out properly. Also note that nosewheel steering during take-off is normal and in compliance with the manual; page 12 untill a speed of 50kts has been achieved to allow control surfaces to become effective. -
How to use countermeasures effectively/friendly missile launches?
Sryan replied to WelshZeCorgi's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I program the countermeasures myself. I think the stock configuration has some 260 chaff for 90 flares or something. I swap that the other way around, mostly flares and some chaff. whenever I ingress, I start a program that releases a single flare every 3-5 seconds. The A10 is not some afterburning jet, and the vertical stabilizer hides a lot the hot gasses coming from the exhaust, so having those flares in the sky and continueing the program is usually enough to fend off anything coming from the mud. There's no need to make a freedom angle on every launch. Programing the CMS gives something to do while the autopilot is on path-hold mode while you're cruising to bandit-country. Whenever I'm like "it cán't be... but it cóuld be.." like the OP describes I just let go off a flare or 2 on that low intensity program. -
nobody played this? I had a confirmed kill before my dad had his first :gun_smilie:

It's true right now there doesn't even appear to be the right opponents, but they are in the works! Let's see what we got: Dehavilland Vampire http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=134703 Gruman F8F2 ( 1948 prop ) http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=126116 Gloster Meteor. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=134698 Me262-A1 http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=116893 ( technically a friendly :) you can find it under the 201? modules. I'm not sure how its developer is doing. I think it rolled up but ED took over and promised to finish it, some day :P So you're gonna have to spend quite some time waiting but eventually it'll be fun to fly the first generation of jets! ( on the northern france/english channel map they're making too )

Greetings all. Primary info My game is crashing when trying to play the campaign mission: push-3-1.miz from the georgian hammer campaign. It seems to happen about 10 to 20 minutes into the game, for no particular reason ( as in, I'm not doing something specific ). It has happened 3 times so far. Secondary info I've played the 1.5 beta fine since release, and flown the Su25a and Ka50 without problems for the last weeks. Since I've been getting back at the A10C I've expierenced irregular crashes, mostly when trying to land. I have taken a look at my logsfolder and found several .crash and .DMP files. I hope these can help you squash some bugs. While your attachment services refuses .dmp and .crash files, I've hosted them on a third party source. Let me know if you need more info, Good work on patch 1.5 and the bugsquashing so far guys! http://www.filedropper.com/dcs http://www.filedropper.com/dcsopenbeta-20151008-155636 http://www.filedropper.com/dcsopenbeta-20151009-035645 http://www.filedropper.com/dcsopenbeta-20151009-055232 http://www.filedropper.com/dcsopenbeta-crash-20151008-155636 http://www.filedropper.com/dcsopenbeta-crash-20151009-035645 http://www.filedropper.com/dcsopenbeta-crash-20151009-055232 http://www.filedropper.com/debrief Hardware: AMD R9 290 AMD FX8350 8*4GHz. This also happens in the Ka-50, also equiped with the shkval. It used to be gray like the physical display itself.
-
Go into controls, axis commands. On the bottom, take the trackIR Z-axis of the zoom axis. Add your own axis to this zoom axis, then scroll up to where the other trackIR commands are, there's one you should put the Z axis, I'm not sure what it's called right now.
-
This also happens on the Ka-50. Only in the top left and top right of the hud.

You cannot take any content and install it on steam. You can take all content from steam and install it on the standalone ( and then even still use it on steam ).

It actually looks like an Rheinmetall RH202 to me. edit: well, jackpot. The gun is an rh202 alright, and I did manage to dig up some more info. I don't think there's enough for Fragger to justify making it jet, but maybe there will, in time. here's some extra images. it appears to be called the BO105GSH by the spanish airforces and the BO105P by the iraqis this is Seriënnummer S4-481 Operator:ET-161 Ejército Esp. ( spain ) since: 1980 S4-483 ET-162 Ejército Esp. ( spain ) S4-487 through S4-492 ( 6 hulls ) MBB Demonstrator ( germany 1980 ) Al Qu. Al Ja. Al Iraqi. ( Iraq, since 1983. Fate unknown for any hull ) S4-497 ET-165 Ejército Esp. ( spain 1980 ) Another 12 hulls for iraq since 1983 ( S4-498 through S4-503, and S4-506 through S4-511 ) another hull for spain ( S4-504 ). For those of you paying attention, hull S4-505 is of a different designation and role. Hull S4-512 Spain 1980 ( ET176) serial number: S4-532 and S4-533 ( Spain, ET173 and 174 respectively, 1980) Serial number: S4 536 and S4-538 ( Spain, ET175 and 177 respectively, 1980) serial number: S4-452 operator: CASA "GSH" FTB ( germany, 1980. transferred to spanish airforce at unknown date ) serial: S3-372. germany 1977, transferred to spanish airforce in 1983. So far I'm sorry for the chaotic format, I had expected to find maybe a few demo hulls for a project that perhaps failed, not find dozens in service with the spanish and iraqi airforces. source: http://www.mbb-bo105.de/ --- Here's some images from NATO exercise dynamic mix (2002). So it trained untill atleast fairly recent in history. Lastly, during my searches I found a few BO-105's in other configurations, in case anyone feels like doing some research on them, too. to keep the images down I'll just post the links to the image. gunpods/cannonpods: http://cdn-www.airliners.net/aviation-photos/photos/9/1/5/1348519.jpg some sort of FFAR pod: http://www.mbb-bo105.de/pics/bo105_hs-7063.jpg other type of FFAR's. http://k41.kn3.net/taringa/1/9/8/0/9/3/16/puntoyseguido/EA5.jpg?7489 are these TOW's? http://worldweapon.ru/images/vertuski/bo105/bo105_02.jpg EDIT2: apperently the BO105GSH is mentioned, explained or discussed in this book. Anyone having it laying around? http://www.ebay.de/itm/CONCORD-ROTARY-ELITE-FRANCE-SPAIN-NETHERLANDS-GREECE-GERMANY-BELGIUM-DENMARK-USA-/391179848750 some statistics are mentioned ( in spanish ) on page 75 of this spanish armed forces publication of 1984. https://www.google.nl/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=3&ved=0CDEQFjACahUKEwi1kbGMtbDIAhWG1iwKHaQ2D3I&url=http%3A%2F%2Fpublicaciones.defensa.gob.es%2Fdocs%2Fdefault-source%2Frevistaspdf%2Fret_536.pdf%3Fsfvrsn%3D0%26download%3Dtrue&usg=AFQjCNHxki7Welo4E01g7wXzUlZHrVEhdw&sig2=uEfZG2jKBJUH6oAqsALbhA&cad=rja according to this source, the Rh202 was mounted on a small turret(?)("turm") with a limited amount of ammo. it also states there where BO105 variants with stingers, SNEB and SNIA air to surface rockets, FN MAGS among other things. http://iuventus.info/Lex/B%C3%B6lkow_Bo_105

" it also can employ its cannons + carry unguided bombs (Mk-82s) or unguided rockets, or GBU-12s (external designation required, no pod)"

Same here. So it happens on AMD hardware too. Chipset: 990FX CPU: AMD FX8350 8×4GHz GPU AMD R9 290 RAM: 16GB@1333MHz When looking into the sky from F2 view I sustain 60 fps. but looking at the ground drops it to 30-40.

New To DCS World and Some Questions
Sryan replied to Mil 24 Hind Mind's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
I'd let you have a go on mine if you didn't happen to live across the pond :) I've had it for 8 months now. I hope your training missions are coming along nicely. Are you still flying the free SU-25T and TF-51? Or have you moved on to something like the russian Ka-50, considering your name means a certain preference for russian helicopters? :) I don't think all your questions have been answered yet. The steam and standalone version are equal. they both have acces to the 1.2x and 1.5x build. Some features are available on the standalone before the steam version though. Par example the L39C Albatros can only be bought and used on the standalone version right now. This is the newest module and still in a beta phase, when the aircraft is finished it will be sold on steam as well. The download versions of the modules in the shop are not demo's. I suppose they are for people who are running into trouble using the update tool of the game, or want acces to the latest beta build of a certain plane instead of the last stable release. The game will refuse to let you fly an aircraft you do not own a key for. Each plane has its own manual. I think the A10C spans the crown with almost 900 pages. A final tip I have for you is for when browsing the store. You'll see planes marked as DCS ( EG "DCS: Black Shark 2" or "DCS:A10C ), and planes who do not have this ( EG: "F15C for dcs world" or "SU25 for dcs world" ). The planes that are marked as DCS: are the fully fledged sims, with like every knob and switch clickable and with a simulated function. This is like the TF-51 the free player has acces too. The planes without this tag, often referred to as the FC3, or Flaming Cliffs planes, are a lot easier to fly. They resemble the SU-25T the free player has acces too. There's a pack that has all the FC3 planes, including the MiG29 variants and the SU-33 wich are not sold seperatly. I hope you'll have as much fun with the game as we do. -
Modules not showing up when converting from steam to standalone
Sryan replied to Skithis's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
did you already login to the shop here http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/products/world/ ( top right ) and entered your serial keys into your account? once you login, you must press profile, you will be able to enter your keys on the bottom left. You should have acces to your modules a few minutes after you entered them. -
How about this variant for some unguided ordnance? won't kill your passengers but should kill some other things :P unfortunatly there's little info I can find about this except this image in the image-library of the KLu ( RNLAF )

New To DCS World and Some Questions
Sryan replied to Mil 24 Hind Mind's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
the choice is yours to make ofcourse. But i would still reccomend the X55. DCS is a game where you can never have enough keys. The Stick has 18 compared to the 14 on the x52. The X55 has an extra 4 way on the stick, and two extra fourways for the thumb on the throttle. Those 4ways really come in handy when flying something like the A10C. The A10 Assigns different functions to 4way keys depending on how long you hold them. For the X52 you will not have enough keys on your hotas, and will have to resort back to keyboard commands. Lastly the x55 throttle has 7 switches on the throttle. You can assign a function to the up and down position for each of them. so 14 functions. On the bottom left there's a big threeway. Those change the function of the other switches, allowing you to assign 42 functions to those switches alone. It's starting to feel like I'm throwing a sales pitch but if you don't wanna let go of your hotas to punch in keyboard commands I think the X55 is great. -
The MiG29 will receive a completely new model, untill then, they won't do any fixes on the old one. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2503273&postcount=3

you can just grab the new client here? http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/world/beta/

is it possible for you to go into the configurations menu of your computer and then check if your devices are calibrated correctly? a 5 m/s wind should not deviate an a10's course so much that it's velocity vector goes of the hud. Do you have any troubles with a 0m/s take off? Is your plane assymetrically loaded? I'm sorry but I can't open tacview files on this computer, but atleast you could rule out any hardware issues.

Update 1.51 is live. notable new inclusions are the Leopard 1. M60 and IS10/T-10
-
it's in the game by default. just go to campaigns, then Ka-50. there should be a couple.
-
No, there is zero difference. It is merely a standalone version. Like stated before, there's simply more planes in the FC3 pack, some of them cannot even be purchased as standalones ( MiG 29's, Su-33 )
