  1. I can only find russian rules and obligations, the one below english info gives me a link written in cyrillic
  2. A Q&A, great! I hope nobody minds I have a few things on my mind. Q1: While the player is in the commander seat and the helicopter is controlled by the other pilot/autopilot/SAS, is it possible to control the viviane sight with the joystick? Or will we have to use slew controls like ,./; ? Q2: is the AM radio capable of contacting an AWACS for info about airborne threats? Q3: Is the countermeasures dispenser only capable of dropping flares, or also radar countermeasures? Q4: Is the viviane sight capable of any smart functions? like terrain following or automatic target tracking. Q5: Are there any units that are capable of jamming the HOT missile in this sim? bonus question: without locking yourself to some deadline, is there anything you're willing to let slip about the time of release? are we looking at weeks, months or years? :) thanks for your time! and very good work so far
  3. 1 The game makes up its own campaign 2 if you kill a bad guy, he's dead during the next mission. If you let him live, he will still fight during the next mission.
  4. I wonder what you'll hope it'll do the LITENING can't?
  5. l'ufficio
  6. they're making an F/A18C. you're best off buying that 109k if you wanna play something on the short term. No release term has been given and a launch with the release at 2.0 seems extremely unlikely to me. 2.0 is aimed for the end of the year, but it will only be released when it's ready. have a nice day.
  7. would help if you specified what planes you flew. On the MiG21 landing with brakes can quickly get suicidal, that delta just gotta fast. The A10 is a lot easier to land with brakes, you can keep it under control even when very slow. On something like the su25 it feels like it hardly even matters, it seems they are more intended as divebrakes when doing an attack and don't do much at landing speeds. If you do a proper approach and follow the glidescope you shouldn't really need the brakes on any plane.
  8. I think they all shoot at the same time. It's just the tracers not being synced. Also, not every gun on the 51 has the same amount of ammo so it might be you ran out of ammo one some guns.
  9. What weapons will be simulated? We have seen euromissile HOT but I wonder if M621/NC621 pod and the mistral have a chance? Since we have the viviane sight, I assume only the HOT? thanks :)
  10. Hey guys, beautiful work on the gazelle :) I know the gazelle is equiped with a warning receiver, but I wonder what signals exactly it will be able to detect? Radar (RWR)? Missile approach warning (MAWS)? Laser detection? (I think) you can see the warning receiver display just to the right of the big display :)
  11. I think the name comes from polygon, a chain of straight lines to form a closed circuit, like a triangle, rectangle or very abstract shapes. and then 'chop' them into small bits. chop may then also be a little bit of nameplay on chopper but polychop also stated they're interested in doing fixed wing.
  12. if the cyrillic bothers you to much, you can mod them to get english text. par example: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=93618 you can mod 1.5 but it's not recomended, devs can't help you with any bugs you encounter.
  13. Yes, the SD2. More famously under it's nickname "butterfly bomb". I'm not sure if 109 carried SD1 or SD4
  14. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/ login ( top right ) enter your serial keys go into the game, then module manager download modules.
  15. Apache Air2air kill (test/training) with HUD symbols and TADS display recordings shown. WARNING: emotionally loaded content for Huey lovers :) ${1}
  16. Dean, in 1,5 the module manager is on top of the screen, make sure to go there and make sure you are logged in. If you own FC3, it should work.
  17. You should have used the sepatron I to simulate the take-off boosters.
  18. The Typhoon that VEAO is doing is tranche 1 block 5 typhoon. So yeah not the latest like a tranche 2 block 20 or Tranche 3A. VEAO said they hoped to do A2G but didn't guarantee it. if they do it it will have a Litening III Laser Designator Pod ( so A10 pilots gonna feel right at home ) 1000lbs freefall and enhanced paveway II ( can be both laser guided or GPS guided ).
  19. can we also get some WW2 train action?
  20. yes I put that link in my post as well :) might be slightly confusing just above the image. In the roadmap you maintain you stated F16C as a module for year 201?. I wonder where you got the info from that it's a C model and not any of the others? although most of us are probably longing for the F16C block 50/52 :) I really hope its 50/52 so it can carry AGM-88 for SEAD, JSOW AGM 154 glidebomb with 130km range and JDAM bombs amongs other weapons an F16 can carry
  21. nothing "hard" but we have some clues. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1996107&postcount=52 apperently that cockpit was on the russian forums. it apperently even predates the A10C cockpit, why it was cancelled or put on hold is unknown
  22. that one real 4th gen multirole that's missing in DCS is the F-16.
  23. I think a dynamic campaign would increase the enjoyablility of DCS into infinity, however, 4th gen multirole fighters is a close second choice! I'd be happy with either.
  24. Yes sobek, different rounds for different roles. I'm sure the minengeschoss wouldn't survive the same shot as the PGB13. The PGB13 is launched at twice the muzzle velocity. I wasn't stating that the Mk103 is superior to the GAU/A-8 in any way, merely comparing the amount of explosives inside each of them. The reasoning was to provide an idea of how much exactly is in a Mk103 shot. The point I was trying to make is that the Mk103 is unsuitable for destroying tanks, because of the low velocity as others mentioned and because of the thin walls that would most likely shatter as my own argument.
  25. Most of the shells loaded on the 108 are of the Minengeshoß design as well. Instead of drilling out a cavity to fit explosives on a shell like other nations did, germany drew her shells and then hardened them. this allowed them to cram as many explosives as they could in each shell. for the the Mk108 I believe each shell can hold about 85 grams of explosives, wich is more than a PGU13B shot by the A10 holds. 85g is more than what the standard US greneade of the time, the Mk2 "pineapple" holds, and it is almost half of what a modern M67 grenade holds. So when you see people around here calling it pretty much a grenade launcher, they are kinda right. Having thin walls and large explosive contents is great for air to air fighting, a handful of hits will take down a B17 or B24. but using the thin walls on an armored vehicle will likely only result in shell shatter. The shells of the 103 and 108 are incompatible with each other. the 108 shoots a short 30 × 90mm. The 103 shoots a long 30×184mm round. The last one, the 103, has acces to an armor piercing APCR shell.
