You shouldn't be selecting anything other weapon during the COOL DOWN period. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

Wish List Item - Afterburner Detent Button
Shadow_1stVFW replied to Shadow_1stVFW's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Yeah. Any movement past the afterburner detent with the finger lift pressed will result in the correct response. But it needs to move. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk -

Anytime the throttle is in the after burner range and the finger lift button is pressed it'll jump into the range. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk -
I'm with this guy, 100%. I don't think it's useless. Completely disagree there. I'm with you more or less with everything else. But a solid F-18D Sim has it's uses. A nice modern era 2 seat fighter. Makes systems work a little easier, better for the casual simmer. Shared experience, always a good thing. Pretty much nothing new to do, could be out fast. I'd buy it. Hell, I'd buy some of my friends it to. Will it happen, I'm almost certain it won't, but I'd love it if it did. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

Bump. Would really like to see this feature. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk -
The II+ is a Harrier II with a new nose cone and some of the systems are different. The AV-8B Harrier II Day Attack, Night Attack, +, and TAV-8B use the same NATOPS manuals, anything differing (flight characteristics, equipment or systems) is noted in the NATOPS.

Yes, I watched your video. Apparently I disagree with your definition of practical. I guess. Launching a jet with a gross weight of over 30,000 pounds less 9,000 a fuel which can be quickly obtained is pretty practical to me. If you want to be less reliant on tankers carry less. You can still launch a jet with full fuel and ordinance ok the wings. But it's a zero sum game. Pick fuel or ordinance, but seeing as I can get fuel from a tanker I pick ordinance. And concerning the grass field. You're showing a video of an airshow. Which is not insignificant, I'll give you that. But I doubt that jet even had a full fuel load. And no ordinance. It's a neat video, proof of concept at best. But it's a gimmick, that's all airshows are, are fancy gimmicks. Combat loaded harriers operating from improvised fields used roads, mats and grates. I still just don't see what you're asking from Razbam. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

I guess your milage may vary, but I've had good success operating from FARPs off the helipad. 23,000 pounds is you vertical lift limit (in game will into the 30 degrees Celsius as well). I've taken off with normal payloads albeit reduced fuel. Set up a tanker within 10 or 15 miles, fill your internals and externals and head out. My guess is a lack of imagination is keeping you from finding what you can do with this plane. Sunstag put out a mod with Matt's which can be used to make FARPs more believable, but I found the 1500' sections not to work in most parts of the maps, but that doesn't stop you from seeing up next to a road. My point being, you can do exactly what you're asking about, no fix is needed. And no, the aircraft can't just go taxiing around on grass. It wouldn't make it a few feet before being stuck in the dirt. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

I'll add to this, if you look at the stance the Harrier in the video has, it squats a lot more than ours does. Like the in game suspension is more robust. Is something that's I've always noticed. I don't think they look as aggressive in the ground because the sit too high. And yes I know it's a plus, but look at the profile on the ground if you load 6 MK83s, two full fuel tanks an 2MK82s. You will still sit higher while WELL overweight. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

You can place static aircraft and helicopers on Deck. Just ensure the offset fixation is turn on (or they will all be in the middle of the ship) and the link unit matches the ship (or they will move relative to whatever unit have have in that box). I always name my carriers either Stennis or Tarawa for ease, and I mean the group and unit name Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

Just a small note the vapor effects on both takers are not matched with the wingtips.

Are you sure you're aiming in the right place? Works for me every time.

So you guys are using the back up arming knob? I'm getting fine effects using the primary fusing options Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

You're not wrong. I've been saying the same for months. If you can see the Target the ASL, as implimented is sufficient. But at that point you aren't really using it, you're using the flight path marker and target. The ASL is still only accurate when your wings level. This falls apart quickly with 5, 10 whatever degree of Bank angle introduced, which is the problem. The ASL should be rich stay in the release point. As for the Target point vs release point GENERALLY speaking, they'll be in line with your flight path. But in high crosswind situations you can find the release point laterally displaced from the Target. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

[FM] Huge roll moment with weapon release

It's over the limit which is what matters. Probably will be fine, yeah, but who knows how the jet will act Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk -
One thing I always found interesting is the information is there. You can see the steering cue points you in the correct direction and I usually use that to help when I can't see the target

Not saying everything else is wrong, but this is mainly to avoid unnecessary use of the brakes. Same reason why wheeled helicopters use the rotor to primarily brake Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
