  2. So this statement is false. With the parking brake disengaged the throttle is free to move it's entire range of travel between the idle stop and full thrust. If the parking brake is engaged while the throttle is at idle, the throttle is not allowed to move forward. At all times the throttle cuttoff can be lifted allowing the throttle to be moved from. Idle to off. Go sit in the pit and activate the parking brake with the throttle off. (Like when you load into a cold jet). Push the throttle forward, the throttle will move to the idle position. The cutoff stop will engage and only then is the throttle locked in place. This is what happens 9 times out of 10 when someone says they can't start the Harrier. If at this point you lift the throttle cutoff lever, and your physical throttle is at 0%, the throttle will move to the off position. Which is where it needs to be to begin spooling. Go give it a try, because what you described is not how it works. I do this every time I'm starting to make sure everything is in the right position. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  3. Not sure how many would agree with me, But I think the addition of an afterburner detent button would be really helpful. So the F-5 started it with the throttle range button, which acted like a switch not allowing you to move the throttle into the afterburner range. This is nice, but you press it once and you are allowed to move into afterburner as much as you like. The hornet added to this with the finger lift key (though technically incorrect, but, helpful non the less) which locks the throttle at mil power unless you have the button pressed as you get to mil. This is nice as I fly the harrier, A-10 and helos quiet often, having this button allows me to use a button instead of a physical detent to be absolutely certain I'm at mil power and not have to take my throttle (Virpil T-50) off its base, move the detent, then remount it to have a detent. (I also use the same button for the combat button in the harrier). Just my 2 cents.

  5. With the HSI displayed on any display SCS down will select the HSI. Like, radar are the bottom, HSI on the left, menu on the right, SCS down, I get the diamond on the left DDI. I've reproduced on all maps, in SP and MP in multiple updates. Screenshots don't really do this justice and I can get a track of you want, I've had guys test this for me and they report the same.   7. I've always had the parking break set. The parking brake locks the throttle and keeps it from going above idle. You can move the throttle between the idle and of detents with the parking brake on. You may not be able to easily see the clock spot, but you can click through the throttle as well.   8. Tested last night, indeed this is a bug, and adding a mark point at any point fixes the issue. I made a whole flight plan, was getting the wrong indications, then added the mark point and all the nav data loaded just fine.
  9. Yeah, try to start the engine. If you're looking at the throttle in the pit you can see if moves from the idle stop to the off stop. Just give it a try Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  10. If the engine is not spooling up either your throttle is not in the off position or your fuel pumps are off. 9 times out of 10 your throttle is not in the off position. Set your throttle to 0%, go look for the throttle cut off key in the assignments menu. And press it. Then try spooling the engine. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

  17. I noticed this too. Was going to make a post but trying to figure how to get a track or something to show it. But it seems like each side of the ships row of green lights that run along the deck are only visable in one eye. So in one orientation the port side can be seen only fro. The right eye and the starboard side in the left eye. It's weird. But that's how it looks Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  18. How exactly is the hornet a case study on early access? AA radar modes still incomplete and bugged. Radar is still missing half of it's functionality. Weapons are released but are always bugged. It's missing basic information on the HUD. Released the wrong weapons. Hell functions on the radar are still messed up. The hornet has more than it's fair share of problems. (Namely the "A" in F/A-18C, and part of the "F" as well) Every company has it's problems. That's just part of doing business.   22. The HMCS projects into the right side but there is an option to project to the left or or even both. Keyboards are not in (most) aircraft, yet are programmable in the Sim. HOTAS buttons, shifted layers and cockpit switches aren't customizable to each pilot in real life, yet they are in the Sim. My point being, realism only works if it does. PC gaming hardware is not set up for this function, using a separate button is a work around that may work for some. But a special option solves the issue. Then you can continue using it like you like to, and everyone else can do the same, as they please. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  23. Yeah, I reset my space bar to the helmet device for easy access to turn them on and off as I need. Though maybe just a false screen with focus on everything might be a little easier to work with, this works for now.
