  1. Also, visual references are completely different... you get much better picture of what you are doing in land.
  2. I found this problem in the 1.5.8 beta. Did not test in the 2.2. There should be something.... Edit. Tested in 2.2 works fine.
  3. Hype?... what are you? A 3 years old, waiting for Santa? I find awesome that DCS goes into civil aviation, more users, more money, more maps, improved software, improved ATC, etc, etc etc. I envy the Ivao community for flying FSX, i wish, we have such dedication in the public servers!
  4. Don't like it... don't buy it. I am pretty sure this little fly should be interesting!!!
  5. UHMMM, I have been grounded for a while, and now using the Harrier, I made a mission, and it shoot at me quite nice...!!!
  6. I think, this is the way it is moddeled.
  7. here we go. dcs.rar
  8. Well, that would be awesome. Some severs has "similar" things scripted (Blueflag for instance). But yes, that woulr be grat. But back on topic... if only we could define the engine situation and structural situation would be great advance. ;)
  9. In the NATOPS they say that the fuel goes from the most external tank, to the internal fuel tank, to the internal aircraft tank. So, if you dont have your engine running... probably the pumps does not work. (may be with the APU...) but, seems to me that the model is right.
  10. That is the point... you could do with lots of things that could wear during a flight, but the most important, would be the engines, and then the G load... If we could get this data via scripting, or whatever. And you are able via mission editor (or scripting) to modify this data before the next fly, many people would love it. I am not even talking about a full REP (a la x-plane)... alghthogh that would be awesome... but just this couple of things... https://www.simcoders.com/reality-expansion-pack/overview
  11. Not that I know... but. Since programming is a matter of triggers, and it seems (cpt smiley said so) the wear and underpower is coming from triggers activated for misuse of the engine. IF, you could start your mission with the count you want... what I say could be possible. (OR NOT). I am just suggesting.
  12. So what you mean is if you manage your jet "better" you could fly it until the eternity and beyond? I know the ENG page has the life of the engine in counts... but. You always start from 1500 (it seems it does not work yet... or is it?) So, ok, I can take the time flying, and the counts (if available). But then... how do you put the aircraft in such conditions in the next missions?? You need a slide, or something in the ME editor. I hope you get the point... PS: that "just manage your jet better" is quite silly statemet. It might be caused because either you did not understood my point or I did not explain myself properly. I hope, now you do.
  13. From the NATOPS, full tank isl depleted in 5 minutes or so... So it takes a while... When i see it, you feel like a normal fuel compsumption... just little faster, but it is not like in 30 seconds you are done.
  14. If we take into account the tales of Shrkey ward (ok, it was the Seaharrier) and the kill ratio (we are talking about 20-0) the Av8 when in its terrain could be a terrific dogfighter... (not an F16, F18 or Su27...) but... it can give you an unpleaasant time if it gets into your guts. So it seems to me that the AV8 is more than a single ground pounder... Ok, you dont have radar... but you have the good old MkI EYEBALLS and GCI... You could easyly make a campaign with your sqadron mates with teh Av8 doing AA rol... against Viggens, Mig21s, F5s, or even Mirage and Mig29 (having difficult time, but it is more than possible)
  15. Nice one... (I dont know if "nice" is the proper word). Do you recommend any good book about the CH53? I already read this... it is good and interesting, but very short!!! https://www.amazon.com.br/Vietnam-Rescues-English-Dave-Richardson-ebook/dp/B006DOABQA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1512735722&sr=8-1&keywords=vietnam+air+rescues
  16. Hello to all, and specially to razbam team. Again, I can't say how appreciate your choices when selecting aircrafts to model... what a good taste!!! Well, we people, are talking about the engine management limits, and that stufff.. I won't say a word about it, I just know, this is early stages, and I dont know a bit about the subjet. What I am suggesting is two little thing, that I am pretty sure, it should not be that difficult to implement. We all know that in other sims the possibility to keep track of your engines, bateries, etc, from flight, to flight exists. And it is very inmersive. I am not asking for that... but a similar thing, or an alternative. What if: at the end of your session, after you switch off the aircraft, you can ask for maintenance report with this two details. Flight time (engine running time) counts (engine wear). We then can write it in an Excel table and keep a log of it. The second: Instead of getting a new aircraft everytime in any new mission..., we have a slide bar in the Mission Editor, where we can put the counts (wear) the aircraft has,. So... if you keep track of your flights, you know we're to place it. So you will be aware if your engine is in best conditions or not. You can always click in a possible random wear. This will give a room for further and unseen simulation in DCS. You can simulate situations like... Year 2005, we have been 4 month of intensive flying over caucasus... now the offensive is coming, but our aircrafts are experiencing problems with lack of new engines... We need to keep flying at least x more weeks... no spare engines or aircrafts available.... I think, if in anyway you can export the info to a file, and then be able to put the aircraft in such conditions.... there will be someone who would do something serious about itt. PS: as I was writing... you could do your own addon, payware... AV8 management kit, why not??. 10 USD. Please, think, about it!
  17. Hello guys... It happens that i cant open the windows to add a sound as a trigger. Anyone has this problem??
  18. We have to agree that most of developers are great. May be we can also congratulate razbam for its good sense when choosing aircrafts...!!! The mig19, needs a F8 or F105!! Don't you think?
  19. What is going to be fixed with the SAMs?
  20. Yeah... i tried vs an SA 6 battery, and worked awesome. 9,5 nm. I shot at 6000ft, about + 20 ° pitch. Thanks to the stability it is very easy to fly NOE. i also used nozzles to turn and dive faster... so, show the aircraft and hide is very easy and rewarding
  21. I did some tests... not too much actually, and I think, the issue here is that i was using shillkas as targets. They have quite short range. And I think, the Sidearm only locks the target when the enemy locked you on. Is that possible?, if so, is that correct?. I am not expert in the topic, but I think, I have read in books other AGM anti radar goes to any emission detected, independently of the status...
  22. uhmmm.... i hope it is fixed then.
  23. yes!!!
  24. Muscular memory from helicopters is killing me!!! hahaha I can make pretty damm good hovers in helicopters, but here... everytime i need a correction with the throttle i do the opposite!!! Time, and practice! I bet, with VR this should be easier... also, the lack of refs in the sea is much harder, I dont have too much problems with vertical landing in land.
