  1. Or, just hear us out, we play MP and want to see people taking realistic loadouts. Who would read the NATOPs for the F-16? More like the -1, -34, CAF, etc. Regardless, the point stands - someone who is buying the F-16 SOLEY because it can carry 4x HARMs should be doing more research. There are plenty of reasons to buy, fly, and love the Viper. 4x HARMs isn't one of them. A quick google search of F-16s will how you that it just doesn't happen.
  2. If this hypothetical person bought the F-16 solely for the purpose of having 4x HARMs, they should have done more research.
  3. Yes, that's correct. Alt or Attitude hold is required to turn on the autopilot.
  4. @BIGNEWY I have created a few tracks to send to you. The bombs are releasing when they shouldn't be in CCRP Bomb 7. Additionally, the release cue never falls down. This seems to happen around headings close to 360. CCRP Bomb 3.trk CCRP Bomb 4.trk CCRP Bomb 7.trk
  5. No. If it's not realistic, it shouldn't exist. There's lots of things that were tested and then never adopted by the USAF.
  6. The default picture of the F-16's TGP is nowhere near what it is by default in the Hornet or the A-10/II. Even with contrast and brightness adjustment, it doesn't work properly as someone noted above.
  7. Any updates on the contrast issue?

  9. Hi everyone, Twice a year, The State opens up its doors to pilots looking for a new milsim group to join. We wanted to take a minute to give you a quick run-down on who we are and what we offer, compared to other groups. The State aligns to a military simulation experience. We keep a very good, 24/7, OVH server up with dynamic missions, updated on a daily basis throughout deployment and our fleet readiness exercises. We provide custom skins for our squadrons, respective to the period we are simulating with our graphics, and if you are a full-time, line pilot, we put your name and callsign on your jet as well. We track and organize deployment statistics, arranged by pilot, squadron, wing and military YOY. Our custom website holds this tracker along with updated rosters (with decorations), greenie boards (for Navy and Marine squadrons) and more. We welcome pilots of all skill ranges and have experience teaching pilots new to DCS and pilots new to a specific airframe. We provide the necessary training and are patient with people who try hard and commit to a learning attitude. We keep our community positive and friendly and have very low tolerance for big egos, showing off and otherwise discouraging each other. We stand on mutual betterment. We place a high priority on positive attitudes and finding people who are a good fit in the group. Many of us are 30 or older, but we're open to making all kinds of new friends. We have opportunities for pilots to experience the battlefield beyond the cockpit as well. Through role-based qualifications, pilots can qualify for JTAC, GCI and ATC. We are in open recruitment right now and the doors will remain open through January 2. We are recruiting pilots for the AV-8B, A-10C, F-16C, F-18C and the F-14B (not the A). If any or all of this sounds fun or if you have any questions, please visit our website, join our Discord, PM me here or send an e-mail to me directly at [info@statelyfe.com](mailto:info@statelyfe.com). www.statelyfe.com Discord Invite
  10. This wasn't a mod. It was a bug that was hotfixed.
  11. Any updates? The TGP is very hard to use at night because the contrast is so much worse than it was before the changes made to the pod.
  12. Yes, I tank daily in my squadron during our ops. It's never been modeled, so we don't bother with the procedure anymore to save time. Hopefully it comes in one day.
  13. 4 minutes IRL, but that pressurization stuff isn't modeled in DCS. You can just fill them up instantly.
  14. Any news to share on this?
  15. I had seen that. Was wondering if anyone had any up to date experience with it. I'm very tempted to purchase them.
  16. Has anyone used this product or have any information as to how well it works in DCS? https://www.sensoryx.com/products/vrfree/
  17. This has been an issue ever since the TGP update. It's sad, but I actually miss the old TGP at this point because it wasn't nearly as buggy and was a whole lot more visible.
  18. This .trk shows that there is a STPT entered as default. That's not the issue here.
  19. But that's just it - that behavior is inconsistent. Sometimes it's not necessary to slew with the HUD as SOI and the system works perfectly. It's been awhile since I've played that other simulator, but I believe it's incorrect that we need to move it with HUD as SOI.
  20. Accidentally posted this thread in the wrong location.
  21. Sometimes the TGP works great and you can employ a CCRP drop perfectly. Othertimes, the bomb fall line on the hud only indicates to the original steerpoint, and not the new updated location in the TGP. This leads to drops that don't do anything. .trk uploaded here as it's too large for the forum: https://www.filehosting.org/file/details/893678/The%20State%20Workups%20NTTR%2020-2-20200910-170814.trk
  22. Neither of the previous posters are apparently aware of DTSAM (Dual Target Situational Awareness Mode). This is not in DCS yet but is one of the features mentioned in the Viper roadmap poll.
  23. Those are P&W powered Vipers (ex: Block 52). The GE powered Block 50 we have in game does not make this sound.
  24. Any updates on the bomb desync? https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=278393 This was marked as reported awhile ago and we've had two patches since without any change in behavior. Is there any update on progress towards fixing this issue? It's incredibly frustrating as I cannot do buddy lasing with my squadron and BDA is still impossible. Range scripts will tell me I've "missed" a target that I very clearly hit, sometimes by 800ft+.
